(Supported in US and Canada)

This is the full original game + both DLCs.

Only available today, so be quick.

Edit:

If it country restricts you, try buying from the UK store:

(Supported in United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Greece.)

If you haven't t got a ~3ghz Core 2 duo or any triple/quad core then I can't recommend the game to you.

wow that is great value, given i bought gta4 for ps3, then the expansion disc for 360, then i downloaded them again for the ps3 I must have spent around £90 on the lot. Day 1 and double dipping certainly costs but I loved playing these. Ballad of Gay Tony is perhaps my favourite GTA.

:(

I'm in Sweden by the way.

oh for fucks sake, why ? I've always enjoyed the occasional ridiculous sales on D2D, like bc2 for 5$ or dirt 2 for the price of a plastic bag.

Sheeyit, you know things are overpriced when the controllers cost more than the game.

Then again, D2D hasn't done me wrong for the most part:

And people think I was kidding saying MW2 was still overpriced 4 months later.. :lol

Country restrictions added to OP.

Most in the EU/US/Canada should be able to buy it just fine, just be sure to use the correct link.

So... is there anything wrong with the PC version of GTA? Crazy DRM? Shitty bugs?

Having a triple/quad core CPU is preferable but a ~3ghz Core 2 Duo should still deliver better framerates than the console version. You'll want at least a 9600GT/4670 for the GPU imo.

Be careful not to tune the sliders up too far as they'll tank performance. The console game runs with the two main sliders at 20% and 10% for comparison.

Wow. I'm not sure if I'll like GTA, but for $10 I'll bite. I've never bought from Direct2Drive before - I assume their DRM isn't anything to worry about?
Never for me... And you can see how many games I've bought from them.

Sometimes games ask for TWO codes and they are both different. Be sure you have all the codes you're given for a title.

Must....resist...

I have the regular version of GTA IV to get though and I figure this deal will appear on Steam in a matter of weeks/months.

They use the same DRM as the disc version, so that's Securom online activation in this case. Fwiw, the Steam version has the same Securom DRM in addition to the standard Steam DRM.

It was $5 on Steam a few months back, but that didn't include the expansions. This is an extremely good deal.

EDIT: This is also incontrovertibly proves my point that digital distribution is cheaper than retail in almost every way, but that's another thread.

100% traffic was a bit too much when I tried it last :lol 40% is a sweet spot for that.

£12 on sale @ GFWL a few days ago, and that was just for the standard edition! :lol

You're paying half as much here (in the UK at least) and getting twice as much content.

G'ah, i didn't even like this when i played it on PS3 but im still tempted for some reason.

In Texas:

GTA IV today on D2D: $10.77 including tax

A pack of Marlboro Light 100s: $6.47 including tax

Thank god I don't smoke.

Same here, but it seems the game has gotta extremely cheap on PC multiple times.
They made their hundred million back many times over.

Though it never cost that much to make... 60, 70 maybe, which is still extremely expensive. Not a hundred. That's obvious bullshittery.

Germany doesn't get the deal on either site. I already have the game + DLC on 360, so it doesn't really bother me. Not sure why they would give access to Sweden, but not to Germany tho.

(Edit: I guess it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities that a proxy would enable getting it)

Censorship?

Well, no. The game we get is identical to the one you guys get. The only ones getting a different version are the Australians because of the drugs and shit.

Maybe it's just general policy on D2D's part.

What the hell is going on in your avatar and who is that? :lol

On topic: I wish this deal was for the 360 expansions, or the PS3 complete version. :/ 360 is dead and I'm attempting to fix it so having the expansions for my 360 copy for $10 would be nice. :/

Hey Guys

Has anyone from Australia tried creating a UK account or does site detect by IP?

I'd really love to purchase this on the UK or US for this price.

Thanks

Josh

So bought.

I payed full price for this and both expansions on xbox, always was curious about it on PC.

Hope it runs well. It should :{

If you haven't t got a ~3ghz Core 2 duo or any triple/quad core then I can't recommend the game to you.

Even with a fast duo, you probably shouldn't get the game unless you plan on playing at fairly low resolutions with reduced settings. The difference in performance between dual and quad cores with this game is pretty massive.

I'm sure it wont matter to any of you but I thought I'd mention it anyway in case anyone doesn't know. Direct2Drive is owned by Rupert Murdochs newscorp.

I know that doesnt matter to most of you. I wont do business with them so if it was me I would want to know.

By the same token no one should have ever picked up the console version.

Increasing the resolution isn't going to have any impact on the CPU load.

Oh man. After ordering and doing that one time phone activation thing....

my parents are fucking nosy and it's bugging the shit out of them who called from Long Beach (They looked up the area code :lol )

I'm not disagreeing with that!

Yay... running Win7 Pro 64Bit. Oh well... better go Google the solution.

(EDIT) Ran compatibility mode Win XP SP2 and the installer seems to work.

I am running the same OS, odd how you have a problem. What's your spec?

Sold, another game for my eventual PC upgrade. Can't wait.

Thanks for the tip, op.

'That' scene from The Lost and the Damned that I watched when it was hot was one of the best directed scenes I've seen from a game.

Edit: Or not, I'm blocked. WHY AM I NOT HOME? Gotta find a whatchamacallit...
