My personal best was between 1500 and 1600 before the bonus. I've played against people who have gotten 1800.

In Splatoon (1), I once got a score of 1900 something before the end of the match. My teammates scores weren't even above 500. With that said my team still lost, but I had more points than the person in first on the other team. Felt good and bad at the same time. So far in Splatoon 2 my personal best before the 1000 point bonus was 1700 something with the Octobrush.

For some reason the Turf War mode is the only thing interests me. Single player was my favorite mode in the original and I've barely touched it in this one.

My game w/l right now is 36-14.

I mean, I get this mode and I even win around 50% of it at the moment, but if you have the wrong team here or the wrong opponents, it's frustrating as hell and over very fast and something about it just doesn't feel as good as turf war for me.

rainmaker games only have one route into the enemy goal right? or are there usually two?

Depends on the stage, but there's usually at least 2. Most stages are open enough you have more than that, unless we're talking Moray

Are you sure they aren't trying to flank the enemy? I normally break away from the team to do this so that I can take out key players and the team can proceed.

But then again I've also found not painting when flanking to be extremely effective too, because you only show up on the map if

You step on enemy ink or you paint the ground.

If you don't do either of those things you are effectively a ghost and I've killed many good snipers pinning my team members down that way.

It's called League Battle, you can totally team up with your friends for ranked play. You can even change your loadout between games too. I'd say "you have to get to B- in a mode first" but if you guys are as good as you make out yourselves to be, that shouldn't be an issue. If I can carry a C- Team on Splat Zones, then anyone can.

Yeah the brushes are hard to use if only for the fact that you have to press the trigger button alot (or rapidly in the case of the Ink Brush). Making good use of height, spread, and angle can make the brushes (more so for the Ink Brush imo) a really effective weapon in turf wars. I haven't used them in ranked modes so I don't know how effective they are there.
