2017 PC Screenshot Thread

Is that in-game? It's a nice shot.

From in-game cutscene. Normal angle wasn't like that, i changed for a different shot. Glad you like it!

Yeah, to me Elise's hair looks even better than Lara's in Tomb Raider with it's "pure hair" ON! Ubisoft had some great tech back then when the game released.
Not only 'back then' they still do. People smash Ubisoft's AC team to pieces most of the time as they see their games as 'badly optimized' but thing is, they're not, they're very very very highly optimized. The Unity PC version was initially in terrible shape as it looked it was simply not finished (AFAIK the first release of their next gen version of Anvil). You can see how optimized the engine is by using e.g. 3dmigoto to hide shaders. you'll quickly see they cram a lot of stuff together to save passes, a badly optimized engine won't do that.

I'm now playing the Order on ps4, a game widely seen as graphical amazing, but if you look closely, and compare the imagery with a PC version of AC Syndicate (which has London in a similar fashion), combined with post-effects like filmgrain, a tiny drop of CA and some softening, it's actually that AC Syndicate looks better.

Can't wait what they have in store with their next game. :)

I wasn't impressed at all with The Order. I thought the game looked rather ugly compared to most other games released on the ps4.
There is just far too many post processing effects for my liking (Motion blur, CA, Vignette, film borders, Film grain etc etc.

The devs said something along the lines that they implemented film borders so they could use better TAA but i just dont see it at all. Aliasing is all over the place if you look closely.

These are excellent.

Nice. I really like how reflections are looking in this game.

Also sweet.
nice...
Looks like a book cover
Thanks! That one took a bit to setup but was well worth it in the end.
...

I was prompted to use ENB with this game and can't believe how much the lighting/shading changes improve the visuals. It's a huge FPS hit but the difference is like night and day.

Still new at this - tips?

I think it looks really nice. Nice contrast-y shot, esp with the red lettering. The art direction in D2 is S tier. So good.

I really need to keep pushing through the game. I have this OCD about finding everything in every drawer and I completely sabotage the pacing of the game =(

Keep em comin!
