Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight finalized for Aug. 26 - It's on!

I just can't see this matching/exceeding the Pac fight.

So many tickets still available and I just think people enjoy the build up more than actually watching the fight and the buzz seems to be dying.

This is nowhere near as attractive as Mayweather/Pac tho.
Lot of people think it is or thought it would be.

People pay to see Floyd lose, not to see him be a heavy favorite. For all the casual fight fans and Floyd detractors, Pac was supposed to be the guy that would beat him up. Conor has his fame and the UFC audience, but not enough people who really favor him to win.

Best thing this fight has going for it at as far as promotion is the racism. If Conor were anything other than white, this event would've never happened because there wouldn't be much interest.

Tubie is right in terms of it not being attractive, it won't be bigger than pacquiao vs mayweather.

anyone watching Conor's media workout?

edit: i know it's just media workout...but dude is looking terrible lol. i tuned in partway thru and people in other forums saying he looked gassed after 4 minutes on the bag....I pray this dude is sandbagging

Gassed. Hands got lower and slower. Floyd stops this guy.

Yeah im watching now. He indeed looks terrible on the bags.

Floyd trains like he doesn't have a dollar to his name.

<3 Floyd.
Connor is is going to feel a bit silly when he gets KOed in front of so many people.
Then again I guess it is in the contract for both fighters to go a set amount of rounds, so after they have put in the required amount (3 rounds?) then Connor will hit the canvas.

Are media workouts supposed to be lame? I watched some of Floyd's yesterday and it was pretty boring too.

pretty much lol. you're just watching a guy train. it's pretty boring unless you're REALLY into boxing. Like i'm a fan of boxing, but I don't tune in to media days usually. I did tune in last time Floyd was on for the Berto fight cuz dude got out of his car, changed, hands wrapped, and went straight to sparring. that was cool as shit lol

Oh so it's just their average training routines. I'll say this much, Conor looks like he's hitting the bags harder than Mayweather was yesterday.

Conor looks out if his element as expected. I think his punches flow better if he knows that's not what he's restricted to. He's quick on his feet at least.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best boxer in the world and people thinking Connor will win in his sport is just like people betting on the lottery.

You cannot beat what you cannot hit. Floyd is S tier in boxing.

Either way, I'm sure both of these fighters are happy with the money they earned.

Yeah man, i would laugh if i saw him training @ my gym. Unless he is doing it on purpose... but i don't think so and other than showing terrible technique he was indeed gassing out after hitting the bags. People thinking that he has a legit chance are nuts, only way he wins is if Mayweather gets careless or stupidly decides to stand and trade punches with McG... that or some random act of God.

I can safely say that i'd smoke McG inside a boxing ring.

Those straight lefts paulie ate were nasty. Yeesh.

This seems to back up the narrative from ariel that conor is doing better than anybody expected. Caveat of course that these are just snippets from 2 12 round sessions.

Ha ha, I have no idea how he will do against Mayweather because their is no comparison between Paulie and Floyd but Conor lit Paulie up. Push down my ass, he just crumpled under the preasure.

^^^Man are you right about that straight left.

P.S. How is Paulie going to call this fight, he is so full of shit they should replace him. He is going to come off so biased like a little bitch, I don't want to hear that for what will most likely be a long fight.

Why is it that the 1st clip is shown from a normal angle while the 2nd with the knockdown is on some spy cam shit complete with some Jason Bourne ass shaky cam and zoom.

Yep, it seemed pretty clear all along Conor beat the shit out of Paulie. The writing was on the wall.

Doesn't mean he's gonna do well vs Floyd but he clearly schooled Paulie badly. That left he ate was powerful as fuck

There are delusional guys on this forum who think McGregor doesn't have a chance.

Like, technically any boxer has a chance against anyone. The odds that a guy who has never boxed professionally before can beat one of the greatest boxers of all time are probably miniscule. Like, by that same token I could have a chance at scoring on LeBron James, he might slip and fall or something, but would you bet on it?
