Final Fantasy 15 - Windows Version Trailer (PC)

I actually restarted XV for the third time yesterday. Starting a No Item playthrough. Even in a Lv.1 playthrough, the game was mostly danger-free because of item abuse.

For the first hour or so, i figured I was just going to quit halfway through. Was kind of bored, since not much happens in the first hour. Then around the end of Chapter 1 I got that spark of why I enjoyed the game in the first place, and ended up playing until a few more chapters. The playing experience is made much better by the 3 AP scoring items and the offroad vehicle, and the combat is infinitely better when you can't cheese everything with items. I was actually forced to flee from the first Goblin hunt at Galden Quay.

I'm not sure if i'll quit my no-item playthrough and just wait for the windows version, but im sure by then they'll include their own Hard Mode or whatever. But this is easily the most fun i've had replaying an FF game, no other FF game has been as much fun to challenge run other than FFX.

Cannot wait for modders to get their hands on this. I'd even enjoy modding the game myself.

You can get the offroad Regalia early in the game? I thought it would be post-game only. A mod that allows you to change from the Type-F to the offroad one on the fly would be the best. Making flying a much more seamless experience. It's almost required, to be honest, given the loading times will probably be better on PC, giving you no reason to not just fast travel everywhere, except for Pitioss.

Rofl not even close to Blood and Wine or Doom.
Better than Blood and Wine, About equal to Doom.

Not really, everyone spent about that much time playing vanilla Diablo 3 before realizing that yes, it is in fact garbage and there is no point that it magically becomes better.
Yeah it's a personal problem, you don't like it great but there's lots of people that think it's a great game. So opinions and all that but the game is far from garbage.

Great news, I'll definitely double dip since I never bothered to get any DLC on PS4. How do the other FF ports play?

They all have their issues, but they're still the best versions of each game.

As far as I'm aware, at least. I don't own all of them.

Come on, it's XV's version of Prelude. I'm pretty sure that I've heard it somewhere in the game. Probably around end credits or something like that.
Nope, definitely not in the game. Credits have different music (both the ending credits and the different one from the title screen), check out videos on Youtube.

YES! I knew waiting for this would pay off. I'm actually excited that so many Gameworks suites have been integrated into FFXV. I've been wanting to see a title that used many of the cool technologies Nvidia has come up with. I just hope they are more performant than in the past.

The recommended spec requiring a GTX 1080Ti seems ridiculous though. I assume that's intended for 4K?

And I get burned by hype again. Bought on ps4 instead of waiting for windows version like I should have. It's ok, I didn't get far at all. 30fps is shit.

There's a lot to hate about FFXV, for sure. I can definitely see why people would be disappointed, and why they'd want to talk about it as well, given the long ass development time and hype surrounding it, so I don't have an issue with folks discussing the game and how much they dislike it here. But if you're entering a Final Fantasy XV thread to post laughing gifs at people saying they enjoy Final Fantasy XV, maybe it's time to move on.

Man, if given the choice between this or DQXI, I'll wish the latter was on PC. We already know the "quality" of the XV turned out to be. 1 year later they're still trying to fix the story and other parts of the game.

Welcome to every Final Fantasy XV thread.

Would have preferred Final Fantasy XII, but any Final Fantasy is better than none. I think, maybe.
I have no doubt FFXII is coming to PC, Probably next summer.

Yeah, I talked to Cindy right after you leave for Galden Quay, and she asked to remodel the car. World of difference, since you can't get chocobos at that point.

They should definitely include a version that changes from Normal > Offroad, and then from Offroad > Type F.

Worth saying again, i really wish there was a mode that severely limited item usage so that combat would feel more like the Costlemark Menace / Comrades experience. It makes all the difference in the world, especially for boss fights and hunts. It forces you to actually use mechanics like Cover / Point Warp, and stat/gear your characters correctly for survivability. Fear of actually being killed is a danger that simply doesn't exist in the regular game because of Elixir/Phoenix Down, even when you're fighting an enemy that is capable of easily one-shotting you over and over.

HFTS and VXAO are incredibly demanding effects. Not to mention hairworks can be a drain on resources. I'm curious if there have been large milestones on improving the performance of those techniques? As I recall, the HFTS definitely hits framerate hard in The Division.

They're not laughing at him liking FFXV, they're laughing at his absurd statement that an unfinished bad final fantasy game can even come close to anything TW3 related.

I know that I've heard it in game, since I was looking for it after that, so I've done quick research and now I have some proof. It is being played as the last song when you open credits from the main menu, which explains why I was thinking it was somewhere around the end of the game :)

In spoiler tag because it was recorded after finishing the game.

edit: beaten :)

170gb is no problem on pc other than long download times.

The question is will it load and run on a hdd without issues?

If an SSD heavily improves stuff then I need to move some stuff from the SSD.

Btw. is this the biggest pc game on Steam in terms of size and no mods?

I don't think this was good enough to double dip in :/

In hindsight, I should have waited for this version though. My PC is more capable than my Pro, and having access to an inevitable trainer could... Well, I don't know. Game was already piss easy. I guess it would be nice not having Prompto keel over every 30 seconds at least.

General consensus is that the game isn't very good so /yawn. Still haven't played my PS4 copy more than 4 hours or so and I have 0 motivation to go back.
