Final Fantasy 15 - Windows Version Trailer (PC)

It may be a bad game, but the visuals were one thing that didn't contribute to that. At least we should get some nice footage out of it.

No way I'm buying the game again though. Ain't worth it in the least.

I had fun with 15's gameplay, didn't follow the story for shit, but I don't know if I had enough fun to play through it all again. Though I'm sure it'd look great...

Enjoy GotY 2016.

If you play something that you don't like for 50 hours that's a you problem.

Sometimes disbelief carries you to complete an entry into a beloved franchise to make sure it actually is a giant pile of crap.

Yeah, but day 1 nude mods always look like shit. It'll just be someone drawing nipples on her now-flesh-colored bikini. I'm waiting for the complete body replacer with modifiable jiggle physics and custom idle animations.

"Why yes, I have delved into Skyrim modding, why do you ask?"
Didn't a modder somehow extract models from the PS4 version and they were modeled with nipples etc already because of course they were?

Perhaps. Still fail to see how that's not a personal problem.

If you're not enjoying something for fifty hours, maybe you need to reevaluate how you spend your free time.

sigh....

I'll be in, again.

Really hoping this is timed w/ Volta though. 1080FE now and I don't wanna upgrade to a Ti for this.

Never played the DLC so that'll be good. Seems like it has the potential to be a landmark PC title in terms of visual quality. Guess we'll see how hungry all the gameworks stuff is.

E: Also secretly going to keep hoping against logic that they go back and re jigger some of the story stuff. That was hands down my biggest complaint.

Was just talking to a friend that I was planning on getting back to this since I have yet to finish the game. Looks like I'm gonna hold off on doing that until next year.

I'm sure SFM peeps are excited. lmao

I played this game 3x with 100% completion every time. This a great game guys, take your time and enjoy it. The visuals are something else.

After this game sells a butt-load on PC, Square needs to get it together on their PC release strategy.

Day and date fully featured ports. This late shit is getting annoying.

Not really, everyone spent about that much time playing vanilla Diablo 3 before realizing that yes, it is in fact garbage and there is no point that it magically becomes better.

There's always the hope that a game "opens up", you can't just judge a game based on the first few hours. There's a lot of goodwill the series has fostered, and with the way a lot of the game systems in open world games and FFXV are designed, it's natural to think that the post-game is larger than it was. Otherwise, why would core battle mechanics (shown in the Windows Version trailer) be locked behind thousands upon thousands of AP?

Glad this is finally coming to PC.

Bring on the mods!

I guess it's good that I never went back to play this after they announced that big story patch a while after release. Might as well wait even longer since I'm not jumping to get back to it.

Wondering if the 4K textures make their way to the X version. Also where is that music from because holy shit that is the best main theme I've ever heard.

Jesus, 170 gigabytes? Hopefully, Square Enix realizes they can have the ultra-res textures and alternate languages as optional downloads.

Oh who am I kidding, of course they won't do that.

The real question here is how much disk space will we need? FF XIII was at 60 GB and this game with the expansions included and 4K assets will be more than that.

My guess is between 85 and 120 GB.

170GB all for that 4K. Well, I already platinum it on PS4.

I found the game to be short if you skip all the sidequest and hunts. Both me and a friend of mine came to the same conclusion. We were both disappointed when we finished it.

Once I did everything, there was very little reason to revisit Eos again, even with Character episodes.

First person mode will be cool for walking around cities and peaceful areas.

But it's probably going to be terrible for combat lol.

Curious how this performs on a 970. Those recommended specs must be for 4K/60fps, surely?

It's big news for PC gamers. Not everything revolves around you.

Lawl, yeah just promise your 6 million players, that bough your game more info at gamescom, that they can now buy the game on another platform.

Yeah, aside from Pitioss, the post-game content is pretty weak. Sealed Dungeons were very disappointing, especially considering how good some of the base dungeons are. But I'm still excited to play through everything again with the DLC, multiplayer and hopefully 60fps.

Even better if they manage to add a Hard Mode until then. Even some of the changes from the multiplayer beta would help a lot with the resource management aspect.

I actually restarted XV for the third time yesterday. Starting a No Item playthrough. Even in a Lv.1 playthrough, the game was mostly danger-free because of item abuse.

For the first hour or so, i figured I was just going to quit halfway through. Was kind of bored, since not much happens in the first hour. Then around the end of Chapter 1 I got that spark of why I enjoyed the game in the first place, and ended up playing until a few more chapters. The playing experience is made much better by the 3 AP scoring items and the offroad vehicle, and the combat is infinitely better when you can't cheese everything with items. I was actually forced to flee from the first Goblin hunt at Galden Quay.

I'm not sure if i'll quit my no-item playthrough and just wait for the windows version, but im sure by then they'll include their own Hard Mode or whatever. But this is easily the most fun i've had replaying an FF game, no other FF game has been as much fun to challenge run other than FFX.

Cannot wait for modders to get their hands on this. I'd even enjoy modding the game myself.

The real question will be if modding the game will set off Steam/Origin/Windows Store's cheat detection since the game will have a multiplayer component.

And, of course, how multiplayer will have cheaters immediately ruining any competitive systems introduced and making any progression systems obsolete.

It's already been said that more news is coming. And again, stop getting mad at the idea of this game being released on more platforms. Is Square forcing you to double-dip?

I'd assume so, since its putting a 4k monitor in those recommendations. Hopefully, my 970 wont have any problems running on not-lowest settings.
Yeah, almost certainly going to have to turn down a bunch of settings to maintain 60fps at 1080p. Been contemplating upgrading to a 1070, but the prices right now are absurd.

How is all this Nvidia shit going to look like on AMD

I actually wonder if I'll end up getting it, I spoiled most of it myself already.
