Tabata's next project confirmed. The new IP they talked about is cancelled.
This will have absolutely zero negative impact on the brand.
XIV will continue being successful.
XVI will be announced and no one will care that XV had some Assassin's Creed costumes, which has already happened in FF anyway.

I'm going to reinstall the game.
The glitch doesn't work but if you have her in your save from before the patch she's still there. You just have to avoid her to leave the group.

If I recall correctly you just have get enough tickets to buy the fireworks show ticket. Watch that and you "finish" the carnival.

With all the cynicism I think this is pretty cool, of course I've only played chapter 1 of FF15 (at launch) and haven't gotten around to going further, although I did play the winter event. I'm all for free events, and tied in to a game I'm really looking forward to - all cool beans by me.

They should include Asterix, Obelix and co in Origins. That would be the most relevent inclusion and best collaboration in this Assassin's Creed game.

I get all of the posts that say "it's free!!!" I am final fantasy xv's biggest fan, considering how much I'm invested in it's story and characters. But content like this appears to cheapen what was clearly capable of being a truly epic-tale, should they have fleshed out the story more. Fleshing out the story and providing cutscenes would have also been free. I guess they're doing weird cross over because of some last-ditch effort to generate sales?
Really disheartened but this, considering I thought we'd see a trailer for episode Ardyn or something during gamescom. Instead we got this cheapish looking thing that certainly will be sorta fun but will detract from the polish of the game.
Will this thing be canon? Or is it some dream thing like the chocobo carnival?

I don't expect to see anything about new DLC/Story content until this Season Pass is done. Then they'll trot it out for next year's Season Pass most likely.

Facetious post aside, it's no coincidence that Square and the gaming public often ignore or downplay IX when Legacy/Anniversary discussions and events come up. 7 & 8 get the limelight, followed by 10.

Since you're Final Fantasy XV's biggest fan then you should know that they can work on multiple things at once and release them once they're finished. Also that this collaboration has been planned for a long time.
Lots of other games do cross-promotions and it doesn't affect them negatively. It's a gimmick.
