Destiny on PC is a game changer

I doubt the console FOV is 55, that's stupidly low.

Shit... this is going to solidify which version I get, because the crazy low fov can make me get weird motion sickness in certain games.

Going to need confirmation on that , no one complained about it in the console beta from what I saw.

Everything feels so smooth... the pc version is actually well built and has every option you can think of. Played like 8 matches of PVP and wow this is what i've been waiting for since destiny 1 got announced

I CANNOT wait until the 24th of october.
If only I could run d2 on my 2016 iMac ):
Super hap for you doh!

Is pad on PC the same as pad on console - with the same aim assist?

I think it's Overwatch where you can use a pad on PC but it's got none of the console pad tweaks.

Xbox one controller here. It feels the same to me.

That's great to hear, thanks.

Yeah, it definitely has aim assist just like on consoles. It feels pretty much the same except perhaps a bit more responsive due to the higher frame rate.

Destiny 1 also had crazy low FOV and no one complained about it either. It's what people are used to for Bungie games.

You might not get motion sickness if you play far away from the TV. That's my problem, I get dizzy with super low FOV in front of a monitor but far from a TV I'm fine.

A shooter plays better on PC? In other news, water has been found to be wet.

This is the first time Destiny is on PC. There are tons of companies that mess up the PC version of a game made for consoles. The purpose of this thread was to state how flawless the PC version is and (aside from a few bugs), they did everything right.

I'll admit, Destiny at 60fps is probably the single biggest thing that could get me to build a PC again. Please let next gen consoles have proper CPUs

Going to keep bugging Bungie to add an FoV slider on console as well but I know it's futile

Anyone with a 1070 getting close to 144fps at 1080p? I'd like to know what to expect.

The truth is, even if they do end up going with good CPU's, most devs will still focus on 30fps.

Though maybe due to the Pro and X1X more devs will give us 2-3 options when it comes to graphics/performance when next-gen rolls around.

I would go PC. But he pushed back release and exclusive crap kind of put a damper on it for me.

Yeah It's still incredibly dissapointing. On one hand, it's the sense of "yay it's getting released on the best platform". And then on other hand it's "...but I'll miss on the entire discovery phase of the game"

FoV slider is the number 2 factor after paid online for why I'm getting PC version instead.

Destiny 2 will be a top 5 Twitch directory, top 5/10 active player count on Steam and top 1/2 hate post count on GAF.

I love that there's an option for "Default console" and "Default PC" for crosshair placement. Bungie's lowered crosshair shenanigans haunt me no more!

How many friends you got on PC OP?

All my friends are getting it on PC. Even if my friends didn't get it for PC, I'd still get it for PC because I hate playing shooters on consoles + the 30 fps.. which is the reason I could never invest a lot of time into destiny 1. PC has always been my main platform for games.

Nice! I wish.. but my group of friends that play Destiny together a few nights a week is on PS4 and I would never give that up. Gaming is social for me 100% these days.

Yea for sure! I know a lot of people too who play on console and will stay there due to the fact they have nights where they just hang out with friends.

An FPS would end up better on PC who would have thunk it.

The last time Bungie made a game for PC was 2001.

There are bad ports for PC every now and then and sometimes they're just serviceable.

This port is fantastic.

It's not as obvious as people think, especially with the delay. No one knew exactly how the port was going to turn out.

Consoles version don't even have a FOV slider bruh

What's Bungies excuse, even 60fps shooters have FOV slider

Unlocked FPS and mouse and keyboard makes an FPS not feel like ass...more news at 11.

It's slightly more than that: it feels damn amazing compared to other PC shooters too IMO.

Also, this plays AMAZING with my Xbox One controller on PC, don't even feel gimped like many PC controller setups, it's got Aim Assist just like the console version: feels perfect!!

Source: Winning PVP vs KB+M users feels great man.

God dammit. I didn't want to touch this game but now I may check it out at some point. More PC FPS need to support aim assist on pad.

I really worry about the game having a robust playerbase on PC, though. I guess we'll see.

It will do just fine. Its a co op loot game that performs and controls great on PC. The word of mouth is growing and it looks like the PC version should be a hit.

Yeah not only is it a good port but a fantastic one that feels native. Looks great, controls great, plenty of setting options. They killed it and that is a pretty big deal.
