omg I just got a Hulu pw
The season is probably worth going through despite its lows, especially if you watched the first two seasons. If you ever feel the need to leave the room and make something to eat during some extremely boring scenes and episodes, you can. You won't miss anything.

By the way, people were mentioning other shows to check out after this? The Kettering Incident. It's up there with Top of the Lake in terms of intrigue and unease, for sure.

Maybe wait til the finale to make that call for someone else

Yes, there might be a hidden message in the sweeping, goddammit

New theory!

Evil Cooper didn't impregnate Audrey in the hospital. He stopped in the ICU to get a lock of her hair! This is something he could have done surreptitiously and quickly. Once he was in the clear he could have used her hair to create an Audrey tulpa -- and the tulpa could be Richard's mother.

With that in mind, two possibilities:

- the Audrey we've been seeing this season is the tulpa, who like Diane is very confused about the nature of her existence.

- we've been seeing the real Audrey, who is either still in a coma or is trapped in another plane of reality while her tulpa is living somewhere in Twin Peaks.

I'm leaning more towards the latter. Nobody knows Audrey is trapped somewhere because her tulpa has taken her place in the real world.

Cooper's return hit me way harder on a rewatch for some reason.

Man, that whole episode was incredible. The shootout in front of Dougie's house omg.

I might've missed this, but how does Cooper know he has to not only get to Twin Peaks, but specifically the Sheriff's Station.

DoppelCooper knows because of the coordinates seemingly leading there, Cole will know because Fake Diane hinted at it and they also know the coordinates lead to Twin Peaks.

Bad, bad, bad binoculars!!!

In an episode full of amazing moments getting overshadowed by THE RETURN, this has to be my favorite.

That was pretty much the last scene I had expected Jerry to stumble into. And the way he stumbled in was incredible, rising up over the hill... I actually held my breath for a second because I thought it was a Woodsman appearing to confront Mr. C and Richard. I got tense. And then I realized it was Jerry and just started screaming with laughter. That was the most unlikely and glorious of plot thread mergers.

Something about that just seems like it won't happen at all.

he's probably been wanting to go back there for 25 years.

I think it's remembering all the dark shit that has happened this season and how all these evil characters seem to be dominating the real world. Now we finally have our capable and determined hero back as a beacon of hope. When the music kicked in, it was just a really uplifting and optimistic feeling.

I imagine they had a lot to talk about during his 25 year stay in the lodge. Plus time works weird in there. "Is it future or is it past?"

Killer episode. One of the best of the series. Cooper was great of course, but also really liked the scene with the shootout in the Jones' neighborhood ("What the fuck kind of neighborhood is this?" "People are under a lot of stress Bradley."), and the ending was amazing and totally unexpected. Sad the season is almost over but can't wait for Sunday.

i'm in a sentimental mood recently, but this episode really got to me. loved it.

That scene got me.

Coop has expressed in the past how he's always wanted a family of his own one day. Even though he wasn't entirely there, he legitimately enjoyed his time with them being a husband and a father.

Loved that he remembered everything underneath. Dale coming out at 3 would have failed in his mission to stop Mr. C and been killed a dozen times over. Instead this bumbling fool emerges and manages to reknit a broken family, expose corruption in the hearts of men, all the while spreading joy and wealth to all those around him.

That's how I like to see it :)
