Trump is "the worst he's ever been, questions when things will get better"

Hes going to be do the same thing after he gets out of office that he did before being elected (or if he didnt get elected). Act as a leader for 20 million lunatics and incite them to action through twitter.
They don't have Twitter in jail.

I know, wishful thinking.

I know this is a controversial opinion, but i hope Trump stays in power for the full 4 years as an incompetent figurehead people can concentrate their ire on. You don't want the VP as the President, he'd be far more successful at getting his agenda passed with the GOP majority than a political and mental incompetent like Trump

You say this like we have Jimmy carter

What are his accomplishments that he wants to be more publicized? Legitimate question and not looking for a snappy "none!" answer. :P

He's still running the presidency like a CEO, where he has the final say in anything, he can make any rule he wants, he can hire or fire anyone he wants, and everyone is accountable to him.

Checks and Balances are literally a foreign concept to him.

I kind of see them repeating "both sides" as a good thing oddly enough. It's like doubt is finally starting to set in. They have to keep repeating it to get assurances that their side isn't the fraked up one. Yeah but both sides. Both sides right? Both sides. Both sides.

It's a "last bastion" sort of rhetorical device where you've completely given up denying or even defending yourself, and the only resort you have left is false equivalency.

It's the equivalent of the movie villain saying, "We really aren't so different, you and I" right before the hero kicks them off the roof.

As a result, the only success he's had is with his cabinet, who have to listen to him. Any time he needs to cooperate with anyone, he shits himself.

To him, he nominated a Supreme Court Justice, signed executive orders to "fix" the military of its trans "problem", stifle immigration from Muslim-centric countries, and pulled out of the Paris Agreement to show the world how tough he is and how America-first he is.

Granted, most of his accomplishments are morally and ethically bankrupt, but he's proud of them regardless.

Since when is Congress supposed to "fear" the President?

His entire mindset is fucked.

To be fair, "respected or feared" is a common trait we attribute to leaders.

He let a bit of The Game slip, that's all.

Trump's intention--as he made clear from the outset--was always to threaten the broader GOP establishment with the potential that they would be primaried, and that he would be the driving force behind that. He's nakedly done as much several times during the ACA repeal efforts.

His "plan" was to bully out his perceived enemies in the party and stock the ranks with loyalists. If they aren't afraid of him, though, it doesn't work.

Not even that... basically just undoing Obama's executive orders which are probably the easiest thing you can do as president.
Just shows how much of a sociopathic narcisst he is. He expects all people to cheer on him for his petty, personal vendetta against Obama.

both dudes are scumbags but Pence is, unfortunately, the lesser of two evils here.

Is this really true though? Gary Busey could more effectively navigate the political nuances of a presidency than Trump, who's so shitty at being the president that he can't get anything done at all. His complete ineptitude has rendered him impotent, even with both the house and senate. I feel Pence could probably channel the rhetoric of the agenda of members of Trump's cabinet into a more palatable tone and actually get some of the things they want to do done. I might not pray for an embolism to kill me every time he opens his mouth though.

I mean they're all basically executive orders or fluffy nonsense, and almost all of them have been entirely controversial. He hasn't really had a single major legislative victory as far as I'm aware, but here's what I think he'd want highlighted:

  • His H I S T O R I C Victory over HRC (which one, who cares, and two, he won by the skin of his teeth)
  • Nominated a new SC Justice (which was stolen from Obama, and had to go nuclear to do)
  • Making us SAFE AGAIN with his travel ban (which was poorly planned, and most people hate)
  • Pulled us out of the TERRIBLE Paris Agreement (which wasn't terrible at all)
  • Passed an EO that stiffled new government regulations (except it's practically meaningless)
  • Trimmed the FAT from the government (by being an incompetent shithead leaving federal offices totally understaffed and unmanaged)
  • Stopped letting North Korea TRAMPLE all over US interests (by basically showing them he's a big bitch)

...to name a few. I'm sure there's plenty of other dumb shit he'd love highlighted, like the GODLY response to the Harvey disaster which has yet to actually be seen.

Even if the Supreme Court seat wasn't stolen by the GOP, nominating a justice isn't an accomplishment, it's a basic duty of the POTUS.

It's like this Chris Rock bit. He wants credit for doing something he's supposed to do.

Don't forget additional sanctions to Russia and Iran. Oh right, that's not an accomplishment in his eyes, that's him being strung along by "UNTRUSTWORTHY CONGRESS" and it's something a lot of people in America actually don't mind. Remember, he didn't make a big deal of signing it. No cameras, no show. Didn't want Daddy Putin to see him pouting as he signed it.

Both sides to me just means "I'm to stupid or pussy to admit republicans ain't shit and I agree with their fuckery."

Otherwise why would you choose the side constantly fighting against the rights of all Americans?

Must be pretty confusing to never assume you're wrong and try to figure out why people hate you.

Nice auto correct lol

LOL what the fuck. The last thing we need is voyeurism from Trump's brain.

But also, I need to get my shit together and spell "aneurysm" correctly. Granted, I was on my phone.

“He feels like this is not what he signed up for, and his accomplishments are being underplayed,” the person added. “He just looks around and says, ‘when is this going to get better.’”

His accomplishments are "being underplayed"?

Motherfucker, what accomplishments has he done that's been good? He is a racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic jackass who does wrong with every step he takes. He writes off changes Obama did to protect the environment long term, tries to bar transexuals from the army, recently pardoning a convicted Sheriff who fucking broke civil rights laws pretty much everyone (except his fucking supporters) was in agreement was guilty of and he worked with the Russians to get the position he's in and clearly never, ever deserved.

In the fucking spirit of Dolph Lundgren:

And I hope the world just keeps packing onto this orange piece of discarded foreskin until he does.

Not that I doubt DJT is unhappy, but I've always been skeptical of claims from insiders who believe they know the mental state of others.

fight on tax reform with a Congress he feels does not respect or fear him

Umm the fuck? Congress isn't suppose to fear you, in fact, they technically have more power than you. This orange lunatic.

For me, it basically boils down to me believing that Pence wont actually try to nuke someone

That's a very bad photo politico chose
Can't quite say why
Very disturbing

I wish every news publication from now on would use photos of him doing that very unflattering blow-up doll facial expression. Since he does it all the time, it should be easy.

Good. He deserves to be miserable for the remainder of his life.
I used to be in the camp where I couldn't wait for him to meet his maker.

But now I want him to be around for a while.

I want him to live to see the nation get less white. More religiously and ethnically diverse. Queerer.
I want him to live to see that the central reason for his political movement ends-up being an abject failure.

It'd be a fitting end for him.

Again, I don't agree with Pence politically either, but I would certainly much rather have him dealing with foreign/international issues and concerns, over Trump.

Thus why I'm torn.

Pence and Trump play by the same neocon/neoliberal playbook of intervention, unsustainable war on 90 fronts and indefinite occupation because most of the neocon hawk military officials they line their admins with are the same kind of people who rub arms with the defense contracting industry. Trump has very limited powers in regards to the military. They let him authorize the drop of that bomb on Afghanistan, the missiles into Syria and the killing of civilians with those drones because its what they were doing anyway.

Anyone that is paying attention and has any ability to critically think for themselves will not respect Trump. And that will never change, as a man and person he isn't worthy of it. You aren't qualified for the job and the part of America that is sane will never stop letting you know that.

What accomplishments? Did he take some strokes off his golf game? Maybe he should speak with a golfing magazine, they would probably publish that.

lol

his mindset is "everything is going to work out by whining". he just likes to take credits of others' work and blame others when nothing is done.

well, like every other dictator.
