-Dante needs/needed another offensive Lvl 1 super. Zero got one. Why not?
-Capcom is trying to make Zero broken with each iteration. Nothing will ever top his UMvC3's incarnation. Absolute fuckery.
-Dormammu is going to be a problem. So will Jedah and Captain Marvel, too.
Is the game seriously shipping with characters randomly arranged on the select screen?

Ha! That's fair, no game is truly complete~ (until it stops getting patches)We should start using the term "release build", nothing is final in 2017![]()
I cant believe they are shipping the game with the Hunter, Black Panther, Venom and Sigma (well, we assume) in the story mode, and they are DLC.
That's actually insulting, not the arrangement of the character select screen.
Like I said before, I'm starting to think that it's physically impossible for Zero to be bad.-Dante needs/needed another offensive Lvl 1 super. Zero got one. Why not?

I understand DLC development is typically planned out in advance and budgeted. It usually doesn't bother me, but in this case, it really does feel like the $90 package is what the base game should be. I'll get the $90 version when it's available for $60.
Just noticed that in Max's newest footage there's a saving indicator at the bottom of the screen when a battle ends (relevant timestamp), same with the Gamersyde footage (YT link) and IGN Brasil's (Timestamped link).
This didn't happen with the previous builds (footage).
Add this to the fact that colours are now selectable (and seemingly unlockable), trophies, the options on the CSS, the footage of Arcade mode, the reports of story mode, and the stage count.
I'm pretty sure what we're seeing since Gamescom is the final build.
Heck, Trophies alone show this. You can't have trophies unless the build is final, I'm pretty sure. Cert wouldn't let that happen.

To be fair, there's still the day one patch, but I imagine most of this stuff isn't gonna change.
Bah, getting bummed out again...
Top 5 characters in the first few tournaments, go!
Jedah, Zero, Strider, Chun-Li...Dormammu?
In terms of gameplay, character design, or both?i've tried to get into this game but i'm just not feeling it. both hawkeye and haggar look like a step down from their umvc3 selves and zoning in general looks like it got nerfed badly. think i'll wait until black friday to get it cheap.

I assume you mean on console, because you can get the $90 version for $60 on PC right now
do MvC fans like zoning? Zoning seems like #1 reason I see casuals quit Injustice. Still to this day I'll see some folks just quit at character select screen even if I pick Darkseid

i don't give a crap what people like. i liked zoning and it seems it's been toned down in this game. maybe there just hasn't been good hawkeye footage because he gets blown up every time i see gameplay videos. i do like that one bouncing vertical shot he got though.do MvC fans like zoning? Zoning is just much different in Marvel because you have so many movement options and counters, especially now that advancing guard will reflect individual projectiles back at the opponent. I know from playing NRS games how much projectiles seem incredibly OP in that game, in Marvel they're good but there's so many ways around them.
If anything, I feel like Capcom doesn't want MHXX to step on the toes of MHW, which is the game that they're heavily marketing towards the west. I could see MHXX getting localized sometime after MHW drops.wait, that 3DS / Switch MH game is Japan only?
they cant even afford to localise something that WILL sell? How fucking broke is this company?

True, though I'd imagine that there's a decent bit of overlap between the Switch & the others.but one is on Nintendo platforms, the other is on PS4/XBX/PCsometimelaterlol

Sounds like people are mixing up zoning and keepaway definitions again.
MVC fans like as many playstyles to be viable as possible. Marvel 3 had that for the most part of its lifespan (even though by the end it got dominated by Zero/Morrigan, there were still a lot of other strategies that worked).do MvC fans like zoning? Zoning is space control or zone control. You want to keep the opponent in the optimum space/zone for your character. Zero is a good example of a zoner in Marvel Infinite. He wants to keep you at the midrange space which is where his projectiles and normals are deadliest off of his tools which is off of stuff like Pizza Cutter, Busters and Lightning. He doesn't want to be right up in your face but he doesn't want to be full screen away and running away (unless it's certain match ups like against Haggar). Zero wants to be in a space where he can convert into real damage. In Marvel 2 this was Sentinel's playstyle, he zoned with his normals and he would convert into real damage off of them, it wasn't just chip pressure. Neither of these characters are actually great at keepaway or runaway, they in fact don't have the best tools to even do so. In Injustice this would be someone like Aquaman who wants to keep you Trident range to pressure you with.Do you mind going over what the exact difference is between the two?
Oh I play zone characters primarily myself. I am a Casuals worst nightmare I suppose.
If they cant counter my attacks I will keep doing it
Granted fought against this pro-level gaf that kept doing the same attack too me and I felt trash. I labbed against a bot AI that spammed that move for like 30 mins til I learned to counter.
gafs can be crazy cruel online ;(
(And yes I'm talking bout you CrackedPebble if you read this-)
good to know thx

Do they lower the framerate when someone dies? They seriously need to get rid of the fucking judder on death, it's horrendous, just keep the slowdown.
I don't really like the Soul stone... feels like too much of a BS factor, but we'll see how it develops as the game keeps evolving.
This is great, thanks for the write up. Yeah I've definitely been guilty of that myself, but it's good to finally know how to properly differentiate the two now.Zoning is space control or zone control. Keep away/runaway are character archetypes who want to stay full screen away and keep the opponent as far as possible. This is your Hawkeye, Deadpools, Cable, Storm (only because of the meter gain in that game), Arthur etc. In Injustice this would be your Deadshot. This is the style that people hate the most in games.
There is some crossover here as well hence why the term gets mixed up. A lot of people just use zoner/keepaway/"lame" in the same umbrella of defensive, projectile spam playstyle which is too broad to describe most characters. Some characters do both zoning and keepaway.

He also has a command grab. He is like a big body character only with a high durability slow projectile to get in with, a teleport and an air dash. He doesn't have that much armor though and that overhead is going to start getting blocked really soon.
Though it's hard to say how good he will actually end up being.
