Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Gameplay/Pre-Launch Discussion Thread

As far as people talking about final builds go, just because the game doesn't look different between builds doesn't always mean it's the same build. There could always be minor and base improvements that we'd never see. I'm sure the builds we are seeing now are close to final, may be final but there's no actual way of knowing.
 
Think I'm going to have to switch the LK and HP buttons on pad to emulate marvel 3's layout. I tried playing the demo with the default layout but I'd have to play claw in order to hit two punches or kicks.
 
so UE4, in theory, should make modding the game easy correct?

Like say, someone wanted to do a black outline around characters like Marvel 3 mod for example.

I actually havent been following the SF5 mods. I know there is that fantastic Spider Gwen one, and the Felicia one.

I got DEEP into costume mods in SSF4 back in the day, that was fun.

I finally got around to playing the demo and while it doesn't look that great. Some of the characters are pretty fun to play. I think Arthur was pretty fun to play as. I didn't like Thor or Spencer at all. Hard to tell really who I think I'll main. Is it just because it is a demo build that it has a lot of slowdown/stutter? Surely that isn't how the final build will be?

Given how the Monster Hunter team didn't offer permission to allow the MVC team to create a Monster Hunter rep for MVC3, I wonder what changed their minds this time around?

I guess they finally decided it's a time for them to loose up quite a lot with their franchise. It's weird since they allowed so many cross-over in their own games, like Sonic, Mega Man, Mario Bros, Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda, etc.

Well you're in luck because it's fair to say the demo isn't a fair representation of how much Capcom has cleaned up the graphics. While it's not perfect, it looks a lot better than what is available in the Story Demo. Watch some more recent footage of the game on YouTube.

Now we'll see how much the day 1 patch will do, we could all be pleasantly surprised.

Which makes it all the more weirder, what with the various Sega and Nintendo cross-overs they did for the series, but they had some beef with either a Hunter or monster being a playable character in a 2D fighting game.
 
Really curious to see who the "monsters" will be at the game, at least early on. I assume the scene wont change much, but still, theres no Pheonix bullshit this time around to use as a crutch, no Morrigan/Doom. Not that there wont be all sorts of new bullshit.

Wish we had seen more pros playing, that recent LiJoe footage was so good, I bet there is a bunch of them already really good at the game.

edit: also, curious to see how the DLC will change the game along the way. Marvel 3 had the big 3 -> Ultimate batch of new characters, but this time we will get them monthly (or whatever the schedule ends up being)

I'm expecting Gamora, Thanos, Ultron, Jedah to be picked often early on. And I can see Reality stone being the most used early on too.

Players, not characters. I should have made that clearer. Its why I said "the scene wont change much", I meant who the top players will be :)

Players who were good in Marvel 3 will be good in Marvel Infinite of they take it seriously. Just because there is no Phoenix crutch doesn't mean there won't be some new crutch that people will lean on.

You can expect Justin, FChamp and ChrisG to be good out of the gate with a potential PRRog in the mix as well.
 
It's Mahvel, there will be garbage tech that pros figure out immediately and start dominating. Can't wait to see that dirt with some Yipes on the mike.
