Secret of Mana Remake (PC/Vita/PS4, February 15th, 2018) Trailer

More pictures! Justin Wong posted this and mentioned his excitement for the game on twitter.
It looks beautiful there.

I'm still half hoping that due to it having a 2D map in the corner that there will be an option to play it with 2D graphics also. Obviously, that would depend on many things including the resolution being high enough. It probably won't happen but I'm going to carry on hoping that the assets for the map will also have at least a 1080p version in the game.

Actually what I would love is a rotatable camera as in games like Xenogears and Wild ARMs 2. But with the 2D map in the corner I guess it won't happen.

These guys look straight out of an 80s anime

New pics look great. Already preordered for the wife and i as she loves tge game too. Might finally need to spring for a sd3 emu cart.

Ya its looking nicer than the original.

SoM SNES looks like... an SNES rpg. Real middle of the road/generic-ish. Remake seems clean & cute!

Yes please someone make this happen!
Idk. The SFC original has some amazing art and sprite work. SD3 surpasses it with the art direction, but SoM still looks great.

Squaresoft did so many amazing looking SNES games late into its life that it's easy to forget that Secret of Mana was in 1993. For context, the last game they released outside of Japan at that time was Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

It's clearly not much, but someone uploaded a 9 second off screen video on youtube from PAX and includes a very quick look at the Ring Menu system.

I think it looks fantastic and even better in motion. It looks like something similar on how Nintendo did A Link Between Worlds to be honest.

Can't decide where to get this... PS4 or Steam.
On one hand you have trophies, on the other you have the ability to play it on a variety of computers (laptop, desktop, GPD Win, etc)

This looks so good now with a bit more of a look at the game beyond those screens. I wonder why people aren't recording really though.

It looks like the running speed is a bit slower than in the original (unless that's walking), but indeed it looks amazing.

Looking better than the first screens suggested. Was planning on replaying on SNES classic but now thinking I should get this version too.

Watched trailer back and pissed myself at:

'regarded as one of the greatest RPG's of all time' (set to the beautiful original artwork)

'VIVIDLY REBORN'....Cuts to footage of what I can only assume is a Chinese free to play mobile game.

I really don't get the existence of the mini map. Why did they think that was necessary?
