That is only true of North America. It releases at midnight 9/6, local time, unless you live west of the east coast in which case you are lucky you have us over here to be the latest time zone in the country.

This is why I never want to leave the west coast time zone. So nice having games come out at 9pm. Get a couple hours in before bed without sacrificing the entire next day.

Major online games like this I would love if they started to have Saturday release dates. Then people who have weekend off could binge at their leisure without having to give up work days.

I’m guesssing no. Can’t compare an semi open world FPS to a driving game or even a corridor shooter.
