Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Really had no plans on picking this up until late next year on PC with all the DLC but I just came home to my fiancé pre-loading on both of our PS4s because she wanted to hop in at launch so I guess I'll be seeing ya'll tomorrow night.

If you're getting obliterated by Nova Bombs in the Crucible, it's me.

This sucks can't share destiny 2 with a friend with a account on your primary PlayStation. -_-

why would you ask playstation about game sharing dude? you're making shit hot. its against terms of service but you can do it. you're not really supposed to tell playstation you do it, and even though they know we(users) do it, they turn a blind eye but they are not going to acknowledge or encourage it publicly. its like an unwritten agreement breh.

Let's play a round of "Who Took Off the Most Work Time for A Video Game: Destiny 2 Edition".

Off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sat/Sun, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sat/Sun

Took two full weeks off, but for the pc release. I live in Australia where we get 4 weeks a year plus the 20th of this month I get a bonus 8 weeks leave for what we call long service leave(10 years same company) so figured why not?

i'm listening to it again. sorry. jeez

edit: alright yeah the journey is a beautiful piece. didnt catch the iron song in it the first time

My grad program's retreat is on Monday/Tuesday next week, and then we have a bootcamp Wednesday-Friday before starting classes the following Monday. I'm not gonna have any time for Destiny. :(

I'm new to the ps4 side (1000+ hours on xbone with D1) so I'll be sending the dgaf folks some requests this time. My psn is Shermas78 if you want to add me.

I plan on jumping on right at 9pm and attacking as much of the campaign as I can handle tomorrow night

If I'm mostly a single player kind of guy should I bother trying this?

The game is at its best when you're playing with friends, but Bungie has really geared the campaign to be enjoyed by groups and solo players alike. On a recent episode of a prominent community podcast, the community manager for the game mentioned how he thinks the campaign is best played solo so they've taken players like you into account when crafting the experience. If you're a solo player, definitely give it a try because there is plenty of content for you even when you finish the campaign (patrol zones, adventures, lost sectors, etc.)

I'm so hyped for more good times with DGAF. Really want to stay strong and wait for the PC release but I have a feeling that I'll end up double dipping on PS4.

Yes! I was in the same boat three years ago. Even if you usually SP, you can lfg for the weekly nightfall and run strikes. You don't have to make friends and raid (but the raids are awesome and you should totally try them).
Well, how many of us raided and then made friends? ;)

Also, not a 50 per page scrub anymore...OT is at 23 pages for me lol. Still madness tho.

I'm off until September 20th. Dear god I will probably need a vacation after this "vacation". I already hate myself lol.

The fact that the guy asked on the official twitter is killing me right now. Me and my friend have been game sharing since the launch of the PS4. Sometimes we buy games for each other and at times we go half and half on big games like Destiny 2. We have had no issues sharing except F2P games/MMO's on PS4. You have to download your own. People gonna ruin it.

Already bad enough your limited to one account on PS4 unlike PS3 if anyone had your account you didn't need primary on any of them.

So I had the white Pro bundle ordered at Gamestop but my store is doing a 9pm Hawaii Time launch which is three hours after the game launches in the US. They normally launch at 6pm for us which is 9pm Pacific or midnight east coast.

Dunno why they are doing that. Making me rethink if I should get the digital, pick up the system the next day, and sell the copy inside.

holy shit the soundtrack is available on amazon and it's amazing. cant wait to drive into work listening to this!

edit: old news now but damn i'm just so excited for new destiny music :D

hopefully there's a track in d2 ost that i like as much as i like deconstruction from destiny 1's ost. i'll give it a listen while im passing out tonight and hopefully come across something nice

Don't forget that all the cool guns and loot you acquire will be made useless by a patch or DLC at some point in the future! Good times!

I wish I'd booked leave :(

I actually just came in here to comment on Journey. It's incredible; the single strongest track I've heard in either Destiny game. (Sorry Paul, better luck next time)

Edit: Oh this is a different track. Didn't realize Chronos Quartet contributed two tracks! Nice
I stopped listening right before Journey for the night. I really love Lost Light though.

I literally went from 0 hype to 100. I can't stop thinking about D2. I bought the soundtrack to keep me occupied. And I'll have the guide at work tomorrow night to look through. Then 9 days off for a nice binge.

Edit: I'm jumping the gun here with excitement. I still have to work Wednesday night. And then 9 days off. +11 days off for the PC launch.

12 vacation days total taken plus book-ended weekends.
