*brofist* mother fucking hype.

If I'm mostly a single player kind of guy should I bother trying this?
Some will say yes, some will say no, but personally, I think it all depends on how much you like the core gameplay. I too am a lone wolf kind of guy, but since the original D1 beta, the gunplay just clicked with me so I hopped onboard. It might sound hyberbolic, but to me, Destiny is unmatched when it comes to how good it feels to, well, just shoot shit. With that in place, tasks that others might find tedious (and the original game has plenty), I find really gratifying.

That said, while I did spend a bulk of my time solo, you're bound to hit a wall which may hurt your overall experience unless you give in and group up with some other players. If you spend all this time reaching a certain level on your own, you'll likely be compelled to go beyond that and try out the raids (which will require a group and a microphone, if D1 is any indication). That's how I felt and while not all my raid experiences were memorable, the satisfaction of getting that high end loot is worth it, so you may change your tune.

Just took my hair follicle test for my new job last week. I'm hoping like all kinds of hell that it takes a while to get the results back. Literally the only good thing about being unemployed right now is D2 launch lol.

Just got my text telling me my limited edition is in and available for pickup at 9am tomorrow. So close....

Relistening to old soundtracks

And remembrance was BY FAR the greatest track ever conspired in destiny

My god it's so good and goosebump inducing

Sorry Martin, but Michael got you beat

PSN's having a stroke and keeps charging me $0 for the game and failing to go through the whole transaction with this error:

I think this may be a sign that I just need to be patient and wait for the PC version.

Had this exact problem two nights ago - dicked me about for a solid hour. Decided to keep my physical copy instead - which shipped 8 hours later.

About 1 year late, but I wound up finishing up Rise of Iron's story content today. I guess it came out at a time last year when I had already put in way too many hours into Destiny 1 and burned out a bit on the game, so I had put it aside. Coming back to RoI story missions today kind of reminded me of what I liked about Destiny. The guns are satisfying, the class abilities are fun, but on top of it, I really like the atmosphere and level design in the story missions even when the story itself feels a bit barebones. I can't fully explain why, but I think it got me more excited to play Destiny 2 than the beta did. I've been on the fence about whether to get Destiny 2 now or wait, but I think I may just be in the mood for some more shooting and looting.

Can't believe D2 is nearly upon us all. DGAF is best GAF.

RIP grimoire.

RIP Grimoire - although I never read you, I love the lore extracted from from Byf et al.

Hello Lore Button and Scannables - I will utilize you much more since I'm lazy and need it to be in the game for me to use.

DGAF is best GAF, Guardian life is best life, Let's go 6 hours till launch here in beautiful NZ!

I'd like to kindly ask New Zealand and Australia to hold off playing it until I do. I live in the US. Your patience is appreciated.

Thanks Bros from down lows.

I'm working from home this week. That said I probably will be working and then doing some Crucible. Wow so 6 hours till the game hits in New Zealand. All the top raiders will be Kiwis.

p.s. discord server invites etc can be sent to me via pm or psn by the same name

Do we know if it's possible to bring three characters over from D1 *and* start a new character? Want to start anew but I'd like the option of having the others there just in case I feel nostalgic.

Discord Announcements
Hey all, just some stuff here about the DGAF Discord to keep in mind in advance of the actual launch

Thank you, joined server & made role. Fun times will be here soon, going to grab my physical version ~33h from now. \o/

I plan on giving this a good run this time through. If I like it on PS4, I'll invest in the PC version.

I hope I don't suck. =(

EU here: if I get the physical copy today I won't be able to play until tomorrow? :|

If you get it today, you can play as soon as it hits midnight for you!

I preordered on PSN for this very reason to be downloaded and ready to go despite having a physical copy from Amazon on route.

Hope that helps :)

I imagine this thread is going to explode when the midnight roll starts to happen. I can't wait.

No doubt, but I'm not sure if it is enough to reach OT2, I feel we need a controversy to hit OT2, like solo story, low review scores, not much content etc

They're selling this for $110 Nzd ($80US) on PSN. They can kindly fuck off with those prices. Any cheaper places to get digital keys?
