Though the rush for clicks is true and a drive for the lack of thorough reviews we see, I do feel there's a legitimate reason in having a review up in the first week as people looking to buy have that expectation (even seen within this thread, letalone more casual players). That said I understand your view when the raid is such a large part of the game, both on release and grinding thereafter. (edit: worth noting that I don't necessarily mean attributing a score to it, but putting out something for people to gauge what what's there is like).

That and if I was doing a review I imagine it would take me a week from starting to actually explore and progress enough to 'get' the full scope of the game. Well, hopefully lol. I'm sure Destiny 1 required a lot less in that regard lol.

I was just assuming from the name of Trials now being Trials of The Nine. Haven't seen anything concrete for proof though.

Don't expect anything but unscored "early impressions" from the Gamespot and IGNs of the world for the first week. You may see a couple provisional reviews before the raid launches then a final score after that.

Which he did. Bungie is very bad at sharing info and D2 still has incredibly strange design decisions (Guided Games not available for heroic difficulty, still no optional matchmaking for missions, still only a single emote slot).

When you combine that with the wording in the IGN video, no one would be wrong to worry.

I was supporting Glam, in case that wasn't clear.

I'll be saving all my currency just in case.

I'll just horde everything... and it'll still be in my vault when D3 launches. >_<

My only real concern for this game is how as D1 went on, Bungie really doubled down on the whole "no fun allowed!" philosophy when it came to PvE weapon balancing.

It will be really sad if there's no Vex Mythoclast/Gjally level weaponary in y1 for this game.

Perhaps a stupid question but with regard to Black Hammer style secret exotic quests – would you expect them to be in the guide book (or are they, since I guess it's out)? I'm just trying to gauge the likelihood of secrets for the community as a whole, relative to any spoiled in the guide.

Also I've been on a complete blackout with this game, haven't checked any pre-release footage or news or reveals let alone played the beta; I'm going in blind. Is there anything I should know about the game at this point? Any carry overs from D1 or any special promotion like the emblem codes and what not?

PS4 still seems to be on top in that respect, although a good chunk on PC as well. I've also seen more Xbox people this time around than I remember previously so you're probably good to go whatever you choose!
