I'll take quality over quantity any day, but that relies on those five/six strikes being really good. There's a load more stuff to do around the strikes though, so I'm not too concerned by the numbers. I'll take all the additions elsewhere over a couple more strikes.

Meh. I hate that the strike is a timed exclusive, sucks for the peeps on Xbox and PC. The gear I can live with but strikes are a huge part of the game and it's just a shitty tactic to lock one of them from a huge number of players.

Yup... same. Though... I could pick up a PS4 copy and play it downstairs in the home theater on a 150" screen at 1080p (but only) 30fps with a body rattling audio setup TODAY... OR wait and play it at 1440p ~144fps/4k 60fps on my PC with a glorious M+KB.

I really, really, really don't want to double or triple dip on another game. (though i prob will lol)

OK I have been pretty much totally in the dark about this game. I had some money so decided I would buy it a couple of days ago and get it pre-downloaded. In UK so its unlocking at midnight so wont bother playing till tomorrow night.

Few questions.
- is this unlocking at different times in different places? prob a good idea if so to help with first day overload.
- how is the single player stuff. I play D1 singleplayer. Enjoyed it but fell of it in the end game. Is this meant to have more single player stuff at the end? not really interested in raids. Wont have time. Prob try some strikes and PVP though. Any other kinds of stuff they are adding?
- Is it the same 3 classes are are there new ones?

Shit. That's pretty significant. Well, most of my rl friends are on XBone, but it'd be nice to have the exclusive PS4 stuff.
Guess Digital Foundry impressions (I don't plan on getting an XboneX but I know it'll look best on PC and this) and reviews will have to be my deciding factor here.

Yup, quality strikes are usually the issue. Tough balance of long enough, not too long, and different encounters. I'd be suprised if we didn't see strike "remixes" being drip dripped out as we get months down the road, which was a great thing in D1.

Plus, it sounds like maybe strikes won't be the only progression to end game with everything going on in the locations.

Locations in D1 were the worst aspect that needed retooling. At first they were only end game mat farms, and once they took that out there was no point to them really besides a few quest lines once they fixed that system.

Pretty much my sentiments. The weapons and gear don't care, the strike should be at the most 30 days like map packs not a year. It's substantial content relative to a single weapon and such that technically I paid for. The fact Sony and bungie even agree to such a thing is disheartening.

I assume you can just delete the ones you don't want, if so.

So, can anyone explain what happens at the beginning of the game if you've played Destiny 1? Does the game ask you to import first before you can do anything? If you do campaign before anything, does it automatically start with your previous character? Does the first mission happen then you're hit with the character creation screen?

Is there any benefit to importing your 3 characters? (without spoilers) does it give you anything you wouldn't have if you started with a fresh character/set of 3? I have two Awoken and one Exo from D1 and i'd prefer one of each in D2.

If it imports three there must presumably(?) be a screen prior to starting where you select one of them (meaning, after they're imported into D2). If that's the case I just mean I'll trash two and keep one for the sake of the timestamp.
