So it looks like to be able to create a new character you'll need to have an open space in your character slots from Destiny 1 (if you owned/played the game).

Otherwise it'll just bring over all 3 existing guardians.

well it seems physical copies can start now and they are doing roll outs for the digital versions so it might not be so bad.

Only issue, is while the game is not region locked, a NZ version of the game might be trying to match make with that region.

No idea how they coded that stuff between the different versions. I know snooping on the UK PC Beta saw it connecting with AWS in Europe for example.

i think shopto usually sends stuff out early or at least they used to. never used them myself. also i know some stores in the city that just start selling stuff as soon as stock comes in but they stick another £10-15 on the price.

Most AAA titles do this now, luckily on PC you can VPN and play once it has been released anywhere in the world (sometimes before midnight!)

i'll be getting it on PC. i have fell for the hype and got it for PS4 to play until then. tried to tell myself not to be so stupid but i didn't listen.
