Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

every existing argument aside, I am actually pretty annoyed that the character creation is the same as D1.

like, it's bugging me much more than microtransactions ever will.

So they didn't expand on it? Can I at least change the hairstyle or facepaint of my character?

Raids are not single player. Yes, you can initiate them solo. Yes, a handful have solo'd stuff... but they're not single player.

Yes, that's exactly my point. I wouldn't say that story missions are meant to be played with up to 3 people simply because you have that option, much like I wouldn't say raids are designed to be played with 1 person just because you have that option.

The character creator is Meh, haha.

Just finished the 1st mission after the arriving at the Farm... So here we to select subclasses? I guess theres no option for that yet right now...?

of a new character, yes, same as D1.

If you're bringing in all 3 chars from D1 then no, you have no option of editing existing characters.

There are 3 for every class. They need to be unlocked (prob via the story). You start with 1.

Personally i disagree. I think story missions are fully designed to be played with 3 people; however, raids are NOT designed to be played with one person.

Story missions play perfectly well with three. Can't say the same about any single raid. Says so right in their descriptions, right?

No MM for story play is more of an issue of weird population numbers looking to start specific points on the campaign to make sure it works.

Like, how do I align the mission I'm on with this other dudes? Do we just do one mission together or do we run for a while?

I think a better play would be something like Guided games for general play. Just like "I want to find a friend to do stuff with" and then you could negotiate. Of course, given Destiny's limited communication ooptions that's also difficult.

you tell me.

(if you're asking about stats, no idea)

Wait, it's exactly the same? Not even new hair styles and stuff? Hahaha

Thank you, Best Buy.

The opening scenes for returning guardians is super touching.
Minor Spoiler image for those who don't want to ruin the first screen of the game for themselves.

I think this is a big part of it.

Also - Just a big informal LFG inside the game's UI would have been more than adequate. How neat would it have been to have sort of space bulletin boards where you could go, group up with some sort of interface and then launch a raid/strike/mission etc.

I just bought this off the Playstation store. I wasn't going to but the game play is so smooth and rewarding I can't think of another game that handles as well. I don't care what me character looks like cos I never see him anyway, but one thing I want to know is whether it's worth importing your old characters or starting fresh?

Did y'all buy standard or the the deluxe with expansion pack?

Am I gonna end up having to buy a taken king style thing anyways even if I get the pass?

Yeah, this is ultimately what most of us wanted since 2014, a MH style board with available missions for people looking to team up. Would have been perfect.

They probably realised that most people spend 90% of their time looking at a gun, and the character customisation in a game like this is more down to what gear you have. In an MMO i cam understand this complaint, but in an FPS its something that is only going to bother a miniscule amount of people, which is why they didnt bother I would imagine. Waste of resources.

So about that exotic weapon that's given for pre-ordering. When is it dropping?

With D1, there were some free weapons but when I found about them, there were already trash to dismantle.

But, on the other hand, if received too early, that could mean getting a weapon that would be overpowered for the story which is just a temptation to be used.

You don't get it til lvl 20 and you have to do one other thing as well I think then the gunsmith will have it for you. It's on the description of the dlc.

Downloading 1.02 patch.
Never played Destiny 1, played the beta as hunter, but as someone who likes to stay at the back and use scoped semi long range weapons, maybe I should rather go with the Warlock?

Or gunslinger if you want to remain on hunter. Voidwalker Warlock is great for for range as far as grenades and super, but it's not like their guns act differently.

Yup exactly. Totally thought this was where D2 was heading but instead we got this weird clan system. Really seems like they made it much more complicated that it should have been. Kinda an odd choice.

Your weapon skills aren't linked with class. Use whatever class and guns you want.

I have been nervously and impatiently waiting to hear some news about an error that I got during both betas that made them completely unplayable. Something to do with some incompatibility with Bungie's network infrastructure and some router brands/settings...idk.

So far I've been hearing positive things from people that are able to play and also had those errors, so I think I'm good. Over a month without knowing if I would even be able to play the game was torture though. Very poor communication on Bungie's part.

I haven't even looked at clan stuff, but I plan to play with anyone like I did in D1 ;)

Ah, that sucks to hear :( Hopefully the final build solves those problems.

I'm planning to play with everyone again too but I don't want to miss out on cool clan perks/gear (if there is any that is).
