Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I cannot express the happiness in having more Destiny for all of us to enjoy. There may be better games overall but god damn if this universe isn't a joy to revel in.

Thanks Bungie and DGAF.

Only played Destiny 1 for about 2 months before I gave up. I have to say, the stronger story elements have been really enjoyable so far and I'm only a couple of hours in.

Are clans not up or something btw?

Yeah. They said they'll be unavailable for the first several days. Hoping it's not more than a week (I'm guessing it's so that the first wave of players don't blaze through the leveling with extra clans bonuses)

Unless they don't have the feature ready (which seems unlikely to me).

I envy all the people who took off from work today. Unfortunately, my time off is pretty much there in case my kids get sick and I need to stay home, so I can't use it for fun stuff like this. :(

I did enjoy the hour and a half I got to play this morning. Can't wait to play more.

Only like ten more hours until I'll be home and able to dive in. Looking forward to seeing all your thoughts, but so far impressions seem pretty positive. Hoping they stay that way as people progress further into the game.

so mission reward in the game about 6 mission in
choose one of three exotics, I didn't like the one I picked (titan chest auto rifle auto reload) so I'm making an alt to get a different exotic u_u (arms that charge super with melee and help shield throw with melee supers)

Managed to play through the opening sequence before I decided to get some shut-eye. This is my first time playing a Destiny game and man does it feel good. Looking forward to playing more!

Yup, it's 'Journey'. Been on loop for the past 30m.

You know what I really loved about it? When you get
attacked by those dog things and that Cabal soldier, the music's still playing but the sounds from the gameplay have some filter over them. It feels like one of those movie scenes where shit is going down and your seeing everything but only getting select sounds through the music (like muffled sounds I guess). It's especially noticeable when you're firing your weapon.

The audio director deserves a pay raise.

managed to play a few hours and really impressed with it so far. actually interested in the story. the world maps seem much larger and have lots more to do. lots of great improvements while maintaining the great combat and loot.

i'm only lvl 4 (49) right now. i went with a warlock since it's the only class i never really played. this is what my character looks like:

You know you've stumbled across somerhing I couldn't pinpoint. The atmosphere of that fight within the context it happens really was noticeable, and something I really enjoyed. Good shout, that whole part of the prologue was so well crafted.

Also yes, the sound in every area so far as been impeccable. A marked improvement in D1, which had a lot of sound I liked but the clarity in D2 is very crisp. The common shotgun that Hawthorne gives you has a chime or ring to the end of the shot that is so satisfying.

Just finished the 2nd world. Man, these levels as so well designed I don't get fatigued at all. I feel like I could finish this campaign in one sitting if I wanted to.

How do you enable matchmaking in story quests? I'm dying of boredom fighting off hordes of monsters alone.

maybe you should've looked into that before buying the game if you're dying of boredom. sounds like you're not gonna enjoy the campaign at all. you can do co op with friends but you need to add them yourself. there is no matchmaking.

The virgin media sparrow page updated but it wouldn't recognise my account number. Not sure if it's just not active yet or what. Messaged them.

Glad I'm not the only one :D

Yeah that shotgun feels so satisfying to fire. Really hope this level of quality continues throughout the game (and from one of the reviews in the review thread, apparently it does)
