Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Those small sidequest adventure missions have more story and logic than main missions in D1.
I'm really impressed, so much stuff to do.

My only disappointment so far is that we have only one custom emote slot again. That made me stop caring about emotes in D1 (and I was ready to buy them!), because I'm not going to open inventory every time I want to show a different one.

Can you import your character from D1? If so, any benefits to doing that?

Mine automatically imported, and there's a small segment after starting the game that will mean different amounts to people depending on how much you fell into Destiny. Can't say much more than that without spoiling but it's nice if you loved the first game.

so mission reward in the game about 6 mission in
choose one of three exotics, I didn't like the one I picked (titan chest auto rifle auto reload) so I'm making an alt to get a different exotic u_u (arms that charge super with melee and help shield throw with melee supers)

hmmm took just under one and a half hours. I might do it again for the third item I dunno

PVP seems dumb. Two games now and the levels have been totally imbalanced. 2,5,7 v 10, 13, 15. I'm hoping that's just because it's early days, but christ.

Kind of a bummer that shaders are now disposable and seem to permanently link when you use them, I constantly changed colors in D1 depending on what armor I had on. I just hope that interesting colors are easy to get ahold of later in the game.

As for the rest of the game, it's excellent. As a primarily solo player it seems like they really focused on making the game more playable without a group, and they really improved a lot of the more boring aspects of the gameplay formula. I'm going to be spending an absurd amount of time with this game.

Are you taking about the
grey slideshow with dates if when you completed past landmarks? Our did I miss something else?

Well this virginmedia sparrow is turning into a right cluster fuck.

Website now tells me i already have the code, which i dont.

Shambles of a promotion.

In that sense it might be easier if you liked certain shaders for certain armours – you just change to the armour with the shader already in it, and from what I've heard shaders drop in stacks of 5. I like the additional customization options now afforded but I'm with you on not being overly positive on the implementation as a whole. That said, I haven't got to the point where I'm messing around with shaders so don't want to trash it too much before I've seen how it plays out.

Is this game worth it for the coop campaign alone? It's the only reason me and my friend want it.

not sure about just the campaign because i'm only a couple hours in but so far it's way better than D1. i actually care about the characters and what happens now. in D1 i had no clue who anyone was or what was happening lol.

that said, if you's want a co-op heavy game then Destiny is probably one of the best out there.

I knew someone would come and say that, but in terms of timed played, familiarity with the character/class it sure makes a difference (as well as timed spent in the PVP maps too).

True, though the skills and how they're effectively used in PvP are really quite different to PvE. I get what you mean about the base knowledge but at the same time you could have someone level to cap and max-power in PvE and hop into PvP for the first time and be trash.

at this point though everyone's entering PvP fresh, it's expected to see character levels all over the place.

When IB/trials hit it's gonna be closer to each other because people will self-sort via investment level.

That sounds pretty good. Given the lack of coop games and what you've said I think I'll give this a go. Much appreciated.

That logic.

You could say this about any multiplayer game for the entirety of its lifespan.

Game is amazing looking. I know it's not native but a nice CBR looks equally amazing imho. Looks like Titanfall 2 IQ wise. Stunner. Can't wait for hdr (ps4 pro )

Is the whole Quest structure from Taken King gone? Feels kinda dated to go back to the "missions on a map" style from vanilla :/

Played the first mission on the first planet that isn't earth (in case one doesn't want to be spoiled).

This is a cool game. Fun design, some light platforming too. I love the verticality of it all.

Tried a public EDZ event on my own. Lol nope. Not happening.

Praedyth?

i can't remember what it was for. i've never done any raids. just noticed the date was 1/1/1970 lol. everything else that appeared gave the proper dates.

Shader system sounds stupid.

I always liked changing out my shader based on the mission or map just for fun. Doesn't sound like I'll be doing that. I'm always apprehensive about using consumables anyway
