Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I was playing the campaign and there was a part where i had to hold off 3 waves of enemies, it was getting tough and a bunch of online players ended up jumping in and we kicked ass together. After that battle they all disappeared.

Is that normal? for players to randomly drop in and out of my single player experience? Not complaining, i needed the help. Just thought it was cool how seamless online was weaved into the SP.

Switch the sensitivity. They start you at 3 (out of 10). God only knows why.

For some reason I assumed there was no sensitivity settings. Thanks - will try when I'm back later
 
Dumb question an hour and a half in:

I guess there's no, like, here's 12 hours of curated story in this order, eh? It's still like the first one where you get multiple quests to tackle in any order and eventually find the end if you do the story missions?

I kinda thought from the prerelease interviews there would be a curated story mode, there's definitely more story which is good but still in the loose format. Or am I missing where to do that?

Also some of the missions are pretty hard solo, I did also think a single player run would be more doable this time.

I farmed them through Chests

EDZ first area has 3 Lost Sectors, PTE every 10-15 minutes, 2 High Value Targets
You just run loops in a circle

Join me tomorrow or later in today and watch how fast and efficient I am bruh


Get you 20+ Tokens within 30 minutes and 2 Heroic PTEs done
I've already completed 18 Total going by that small number in your banner underneath Power Level, where your Grimoire Score used to be

So I really did not play much of Destiny 1. I picked it up and it did not click.
Long story short, my good friend from high school (we are 43 years old now, so we have been friends for quite some time), hit me up about 2 months ago asking if I was down to pick up Destiny 2 so we could play with his brother who now lives in Seattle (we live in NJ).
I said okay knowing I liked the first game okay enough, but expecting Bungie to refine things the 2nd time around.

I played the game about 2 hours today and I think I love it. It is really a whole lot of fun.

So really I am posting just to ask for some tips, tricks, and suggestions about things that may not be so obvious.

For example, these PDZ tokens, I used most of what I collected to upgrade my Reputation for the dude in the church tower, but i am not exactly following what that is going to get me.

Basically I am asking for any help or advice or best practices for someone who is pretty much a Destiny noob all things considered.

WHOA I just realized where the first open area is!

there's a highway sign for "Graubünden" which is an actual real province in Switzerland :)
 
Should I skip lost sector caches and region caches till max level? Wondering if I should leave for the second planet or clear whatever I can of those in the EDZ.
 
where can i find Red legion troops in Nessus ?? i have a quest step from something i took that is placed in the heavy weapon slot, maybe it's an exotic weapon quests ?

i need to farm communications from Red legion troops
 
Got my first "We Ran Out of Medals" Medal ever, feels DAMN good man. Seeing "Someone should probably do something about thoseAREmySHOES" in the killfeed was so great.

There's a whole area of those Chubby Bastards where a Cabal Extraction PTE happens, overlooking a chasam and Vex architecture firming like VoG platforms


Name eludes me, sorry!

But look for any PTE, that like that area are the fatties

There was like a month when i couldnt log into D1. The finny thing is, at launch i had zero problems, but a few months later everything got crappy.

Nothing until you hit level 20. Honestly enjoy the ride for a while, the leveling path is paced such that you can play any activity and Level/Gear up however you'd like.

There is infusion later so what are seemingly bad weapons can be upgraded later. Meaning, until the meta forms, save all your purple/yellow (legendary/exotic) items in your vault instead of dismantling them when you run out of room. White, green, and blue are usually safe to trash. See Hawkians posts for some gameplay tips. But as far as min/maxing progression just playing the game any way you'd like us efficient. Those EDZ tokens can be redeemed but they wont give you anything until Level 20.

You can repeat Lost Sectors for fucking ever

Yes Loot after awhile will dry up, but still good resource for Glimmer/Token/Height Engram farming in chunks

No need to hold off, not like 1 time thing
Same thing for adventures, you can do them whenever, they will come back with Reset every week
Maybe better Reward and Difficulty offers to boot!

Actually, that's an amazing change :)

We'll have to team up some time Grave, think we did in vanilla D1: memories a bit hazy though.
 
Finished the 1st mission on Titan. The game is a huge improvement over D1 in everything and i'm enjoying it a lot for day 1. EDZ is gorgeous.... titan is small. I'm a little worried about the map size of the other planets.
 
Did 1 strike so far and it reminded me of
Vault of Glass.

Loved the environment. Was a long strike as well with a some laser dodging and other mechanics. Hope the other strikes are similar length and quality because it was pretty damn fun.

Can't login at the moment, but anybody who has me on FL just jump in and follow my lead and earn the farming goodness along side me
Hell throw a party chat up and I'll banter with you for hours
 
I feel like a few cutscenes might have skipped on me.

This game is great, and I am terrible at it . It is amazing what a difference adding some visible story in a game makes.
 
That error must be some authentication issue on Sony's end eh, even Everybody's Golf can't validate my dlc right now

My avatar even has a little red x beside it on the ps4 mainscreen

Lame my brothers both made it in sitting right next to me lmao must be a random problem for awesome people like myself /facepalm

Nah...I can play other online games. Hell, I'm playing BO3 at the moment, while Bungie gets their shit together. People are reporting Xbox issues as well.

Edit: Same issue with Destiny 1 as well, can't login with the same error.
