Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Enjoying it so far but I'm pretty stunned there's no raid at launch and - am I right in saying ONE PvP playlist?

Has anyone started onthe end game? Because, right now from what I'm hearing, there isn't one. And I don't feel happy having paid 55 quid for an 8 hour 'campaign', some open world grinding and then having to wait months for the rest of the content. And if they charge for the raid as DLC....I will feel like such a sucker.

D1 didn't have a raid at launch.

Played a couple hours and then the girlfriend's contractions started and we headed to the hospital. Waiting in the room to see how long until a new game enters the world :)

This is why Vita's with remote play exist.

But congrats, dude. Hope all goes well!

I somehow convinced myself that once I reached 20, I'd be getting level 20 weapons. Of course, I'm wrong. I was so stupid to dream.

Have you played the first one? Raid didn't drop until a month I think. Also, grinding was all there was in Destiny 1. Atleast it's alot more streamline now and presented way better.
1 week.
Same as here.

This morning when I fired the game up and clicked on my character it just went to a black screen, though I could hear menu's opening and closing if I pressed the appropriate button.

I'm assuming (hoping!) that it's to do with the issues that other people seem to be experiencing?

They intentionally stagger the release of the Raid so people have time to get ready for it and go in blind without being spoiled.

Me since Tuesday navigating the net:

This weekend I start. Hopefully. :O

PSN sucking as always I see :|

Good thing it's a paid service with usually excellent speed, reliability and value
/s

Do the clan servers go live with the raid?

Also, I can't tell you how happy I was that so much was already unlocked when I got voidwalker back. I hope it's the same with the stormcaller class.

Working for me atm.

Same here, mild panic set in when I read the thread over breakfast. Took a little longer to sing in that it had but got in first go.

Guardian down, consumed by the darkness.

As far as excuses go for not playing, yours is pretty good. Lol, best of luck man.

Of course I received my first exotic weapon right before I was about to go to sleep and ended up playing for an extra hour.

Oh you've got to be KIDDING me. I manage to log in, get most of the way through a mission, and then my ISP decides to hiccup.

aahhhahahahahaaahhaa

Were you able to log in after having the issues? Hopefully that means a global fix is incoming soon.

Whoop, another exotic engram from a public event,
insummountable skullfort get

Means I have unlimited arc shoulder charges provides it kills on impact

Played for a couple of hours last night, love it. Familiar yet different. I'm level 6 and 52 powahhhhh. My warlock looks rubbish though, he has a sort of camp tunic on.

Gorgeous game too, can't wait to play some more.

All my memory screens involved randoms as that was the only way I could play the higher level end content. I barely recognised any of the names, and a number of them were just awful people, so although it made me nostalgic for the first time I did VoG etc (still one of the finest gaming experiences I've ever had) the whole exercise didn't impact me as much as it could have!

There most certainly is an end game. The current end game is prepping for the raid that drops next week for free. And prepping for the raid includes strikes, nightfalls, and the copious amounts of open world/patrol stuff there is to do in the game.

Are there difficulty options for the story missions like in D1? I can't find them. Everything has been piss easy so far. Really ruining my enjoyment of the campaign.

Could someone who's completed the campaign tell me how much new stuff, if any, unlocks/starts after you complete the campaign? I'm hoping it's like TTK but in an even bigger and better way

In order:

1. There are currently two PvP playlists. Quickplay rotates between Control, Clash and Supremacy game modes. Competitive rotates between Countdown and Survival game modes. I might be missing some but I have for sure played at least those 5 game modes so far.

2. Yes, there is an endgame. Upon finishing the campaign, you unlock: Strikes, Nightfalls (higher difficulty / reward version of Strikes), Milestones (higher difficulty / reward version of campaign missions), additional Adventures and Quests on each destination (you can buy the map location from Cayde, or pick it up from the planet NPC). You also continue running public events, Flashpoints, Patrol quests, and the numerous Milestones and Challenges that pop up. These reward you with items and/or materials which you can turn in to each planet’s NPC for high level rewards upon rank up. This is how you prepare for the Raid. So:

3. Raid. They won’t “charge for the Raid as DLC”. It is a part of the game that you paid for and will be unlocked next week. Likewise, a special endgame PvP mode which opens every weekend (Trials) will be made available next week.

Level 6 here myself try to get as much game time in, as much as the little baby let me. Was just doing public events and adventures mostly, dunno if it's just me or the EDZ hardly seemed populated at all. Usually on my alone or 2 or 3 strangers around, hardly seems social at the moment

Sweet, thanks, I didn't know about most of that, all seems reassuring. Let's also hope they bring back Sparrow Racing and something like Prison of Elders in the near future, paid or otherwise ! :)
