Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Got my first Exotic through an engram! Borealis (PS4 exclusive sniper rifle, which can change it's element freely) woohoo!

I'm at level 8 and doing public events to get this item to drop like people told me earlier.
Ah yeah apparently it can drop as early at 7, but I didn't get mine until 10 just FYI.
Just decoded an exotic engram and got the Mericless Fusion Rifle. Has anyone used it and is it any good?
eh I basically hate you and everyone you have ever spoken to right now if that means anything.

...

Against anything that can absorb more than one fusion rifle shot, it is an absolute monster. Somewhere near if not top tier for boss DPS in the entire game right now.
Sorry about that. Says it has an impetus perk which "increases weapon damage for a short time after a kill." Whoa!
...

You are burying the lede.

Am I missing something or is it not possible to pick strikes individually from the Director? I can only see them from the playlist.

Got a legendary to recommend?

I love my Dissonance-34. You can't use it like a regular "good" sidearm at all but I am enjoying the hell out of it, even in the Crucible. Suros, they make some good shit I tell ya
Hah, I'm afraid I started my character over from Titan (the planet), to change race/gender and get a decent dance. Yes, I'm that shallow lol.

Mine is just a green but didn't know they existed and loved the feel of sidearms in D1 like Havoc Pigeon. Just held the trigger on the green one in D2 accidentally, and then again not so accidentally. Feels ridiculously good. Gunplay is so on point.

Got the next two days off to dive into everything though so will be able to join the discussions more actively soon. Just keen to avoid campaign spoilers until I've gone through it absorbing it all.

As an aside though, I love what they've done with the races so far; Hive and Fallen. The designs and subtle changes really work well. Only a couple missions into Titan but the atmosphere is really good. New hive death animation is awesome too.

Just from the playlist.

Outside of the consumable Shaders. It and how Crucible Modes work our the only changes I really don't like.

Are there very few rocket launchers in this one? I've only gotten one so far, have gotten a bunch of all the other weapon types.

Thank you for sympathizing with me here. I was worried someone would mock me.

I hated Chroma for the same reason. It was too stressful to use. But also, Chroma was applied ON TOP of shaders. These new shaders dictate everything.

Also, another good point someone said on reddit:

the end result is more "I don't care about getting the raid shader, because I can't use it without losing this other shader I really like"

Haha, exactly. If I changed a shader, I would likely need to change the Chroma as well.

Honestly, I try my best to be a completionist. I find it fun. I collected most of the Choma armor. If the game let me "use" all 8 or whatever Chroma colors on each piece, letting them stay permanently so that I can cycle through whenever, I would have done that.

And honestly, I think others would have put more effort into it as well -- which could have led to more Eververse purchases, in my opinion.

lol if it makes you feel any better I would totally trade it in for the PS4 Exclusive Borialis right now.
I want that too. I guess I mean, at least you got a great weapon and will put it to good use-
I don't even like Fusion Rifles. : \

So what's gonna be the deal with the release of expansion packs on PC, console-parity or delayed by a month+ again?

I am literally in awe of the art in this game. In is in class of it's own. The lighting, the textures even just the concepts... incredible. Only level 12 but every second of this has been amazing. Well done Bungie.

Once you complete the campaign, what kind of new stuff unlocks? Hoping for it to be similar in nature to how TTK just kept unlocking stuff for a good while

Asked this a few times now without an answer, hoping i'll get one this time :P

So 2 things, I'm at level 20 now, how do I get my preorder stuff?

Also, is there any reason not to decode my white engrams at this point?

The sequence after the intro mission
where you find the farm was really bad. The slow walking (a huge FPS no no) section was unbearably long. And the dialogue is terrrrible, I couldn't stop making fun of it as it was playing haha.
I'm loving everything else though.

Honestly, that was one of my favorite moments in a video game this gen. It was such a noticeable contrast from Destiny 1 and it was extremely emotional for me and my fiancee, who was watching me play.

And oh god, that music.

Thinking about raid builds.

For warlocks.
I've got some exotic legs which are called
Lunafaction boots
They give the ability of auto reload for anyone who stands in my rift.

I'm a voidwalker with devour. So I can top my health up killing adds without reloading. I kill adds.

I've seen an exotic fusion which rate of fire increases when the target doesn't kill. Could be the new ghally.

So I trigger my rift, using the extra damage perk, team stands in it, teams shoots turbo fusion rifles which fire faster and faster without reloading.
Teammate nightstalker arrows boss.
Boss gets melted.
Holy shit that sounds busted

they said something like "every future destiny 2 release will be simultaneous"
I believe they are going to be the same on all platforms.

Yep. Content going forward will release on all platforms at same time.

You can make this one even more powerful.

Use the Storm Caller rift that boosts team damage too. Health, ammo, and damage all boosted by the rift.
