Just finished the story and hit level 20.
I read that you can repeat adventures and lost sectors for better loot.
How do you replay adventures? They're no longer on the map, are they? I only remember seeing the ones I haven't completed.

Participate in Public Events in the designated planet. Right it's the EDZ (as you mentioned).
Flashpoint is the dedicated patrol for the week. The mission you are on is to unlock flashpoints I believe. Find patrol beacons and do those. Open up your ghost to find them.

The flashpoint also means Cayde's treasure maps will feature that planet. This week is EDZ, next week is Nessus.

I feel Sentinel is the way to go. Bubble shield + Cap America. I only have Striker next to it but it seems its pretty much Cap america only (w/o shield throw).

It's a mix. I would say mostly US but quite a few folks from other countries, EU included. Also we tend to play pretty fucking late at night (thus the name) so it might work out.

What's the functional difference between 'Powerful Gear' and 'Legendary Gear' on the milestones tab rewards list?
Powerful gear has a high chance of being exotic
Haha, fair enough. My usually group of gaming friends hasn't been all that into Destiny, so I'll be looking to a robust online community when I play.
I've been bitten before when I jump in too late on the hype, but given Destiny's history so far, it does seem like a safe bet. It's hard not to wonder when you read about people already having beaten the campaign, etc.

So, last thing I did last night was beat the story. Now that I'm done with that and level 20, how would you recommend playing from here? Grind strikes? Seek out every adventure on every planet? Go run through Lost Sectors? The answer is probably 'mix and match', but I'm curious what everyone's having the most fun with.

I feel completely the opposite. Maybe it's the skyboxes or varied terrain throughout but they feel fucking massive.
I'm doing a bit of everything. Running events while seeking out treasure, doing Lost Sectors and Adventures is a lot of fun.

When you block with the shield, (1) can you guard people behind you and become a protective wall, and (2) Can people shoot through your shield (unlike the bubble)? I really want to pop that super, absorb ALL the damage from the boss, and let my teammates just wail on said boss from behind my shield (being the damage-sponge tank is just too much fun).
I'm assuming it just protects you, which would be a huge bummer.

So do Lost Sectors show up on your map, and does it mark off which ones you've already done? Also, is the loot reward for doing them based off your level or the general difficulty of the area?

Still no randoms in sight during story modes, adventures etc on Xbox One for me. Looks like I'm playing this entirely single player which kind of defeats the purpose.

No, it's just a pre-set. You have to go to Settings and make sure it's sending all audio through the headphones. Google "no sound through headset gold" and the fix should come up.
Yes they do show up. They get slightly greyed out when completed I believe

What's the best profile for D2 right now? I haven't tried any other than the D1 profile.
You can turn them in but you can't get the engram till level 20.
So they'll just be waiting for you there until you do.
