Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

What are the small symbols on the maps? Not talking about the Adventures/Missions stuff but the small symbols that don't have any mouse over tooltip?

The plus signs are region chests which are 3 faction tokens each.

The double rainbow with a dot are lost sectors. Mini missions/subboss.

I mentioned this before but why is the Hunter dodge a comparable skill to the other classes? I feel like if it had a huge amount of Iframes it would be suitable, but as it stands the hunter feels pretty bad next to the other classes.

Guess im going to have to just plow through campaign on my own with a podcast.

Inviting people to firetram is not working.

Ugh, this game is sssoooo not meant to be played solo.

Well it's stupidly easy in Single Player so that's something. Like one shot everything with a hand Cannon or Scout/pulse rifle. Maybe a grenade and a power weapon shot for bug guys. No sweat.

Less people less enemy health/dmg.

Is your fireteam set to friends/clan only? I had to put mine to public so I could invite randoms

I am so into the Warlock Voidwalker subclass that lets you charge your grenade with some of your super energy. It basically means you have a mini-super everytime your grenade charges and get to just generally blow shit up constantly. It doesn't have the finesse of hovering around and air dodging as a Dawnblade, or even the melee/devour loop of the other subclass but god damn it is incredibly satisfying.

I still can't find a kinetic weapon I really like. I like handcannons, but all the ones I've gotten reload extremely slow. Even with a fast reload perk.
I got a scout rifle with triple tap that I'm using right now, but my hand is starting to get tired from shooting with that thing. I wish it was auto.

And is it just me or are ALL submachins guns awful? The thing goes all over the place.

Pyramidon is the best strike I've ever played so far. It felt like a raid for 3 people. Looking forward to how they ratchet up things for the actual one.

Playing PvP to try it out, not a fan at all so far.
I'm in the exact opposite boat: loving the gunskill version of Destiny PvP, no more one hit wonders and super a thon.

Getting 2 supers in a match feels harder than in the PC beta though..anyone else feel that?

Do people not do public events? I tried like 3 of them on the first planet and it was always just me. Should i just be hitting the story until it's done?

Hello Gaffers,

I would like more than anything to fix the shader system in Destiny 2. I posted a design doc to the Bungie forum that fixes what I believe to be the problematic bit of the current shader system — that the old shader is deleted when applying a new one — while keeping Bungie's goals of incentivizing shader-hunting intact. It has received a lot of good traction so far. If you're interested in giving a little more permanency to your shader grinding, please have a look through the doc and upvote it if you agree. I just want Bungie to at least read it, yet I fear that it will get buried under less thought-out posts in the coming days that are just full of red mist, bile, and upvoted out of spite.

Sometimes it's bad RNG as to when you get grouped for a Public Event. Best luck is right when you zone into a new area (whether that be from landing there, traveling from a connected area, or getting out of a mission instance).

Couple of questions for anyone that's tried.

Can you swap gear between 2 characters, let's say I have 2 warlocks, can they both share the same gear? I know infusions are class locked, does that mean they're not character locked?

Are Milestones separate for each character or the whole account?

Was just thinking for the PC launch, level up multiple of the same class, gear 1 up to 265, do it's Milestones, transfer the gear to character #2, do milestones again, etc.

I've played plenty of Titanfall 2 and the speed/skill of D2 PVP is nothing compared to it. D2 PVP is all about lining shots peacefully and elegantly, almost in slowmotion.

I tried a bit of TF2 PVP after some D2 sessions and the difference is amazing... My eyes got sore for a bit.

Legitimately great post and a solid suggestion for an effective solution. Thanks for sharing man, anything I can do to boost support over there? Never used the Bungie forums or community aspects outside of games and clan management.

So many ugly shaders...
I find a lot of the ugly armour ones work quite well on a few guns. There was a putrid flat-teal one that looked like ass on armour but it turns the stock Vanguard pulse rifle into a lovely bright teal base and white (vanguard) markings.

Honestly, I'm really digging the amount of customization for ghosts and guns now. A lot of shaders I'm trying make a decent impact there and I've been using them more for those things than armour so far.

Should i be exploring all the nooks and crannies while doing story missions? Or just power through? The areas are so big.

Also when do i get a vehicle?

Woo. Hunter now at 269.

I think I'm prob stuck here right? Ive collected all my luminous engrams for the week before the reset.

Unless I get some exotics.

Game is good. It's giving me those vanillla D1 feels.

What do we think is the min light for the raid when it comes out?

Man, my last two exotic engrams have been Vigilance Wing's and I don't even like pulse rifles.
My first 4 were duplicates of the free chest piece I got during story mode

On my last alt, Warlock.

Speaking of which: did they completely remove that slow nova bomb from the beta?

Nope
it now splits into 4 more slow homing ones when it hits something or is shot by you to detonate manually.

I have one that makes glowy lights so that's cool. I want more light up effect shaders.

Don't pressured to burn through it if you don't want to, but likewise don't feel the need to explore if it's not there for you. I'm taking a lot of time in each area as I'm really loving the environment design for these planets, but you won't miss out on anything bar perhaps a few lore fragments by being more gung-ho and urgent about rescuing the traveller.

As for vehicle, lvl20 if you get lucky with one of the free bright Engrams, otherwise the end of the story.

Yep. With you there. I'm pretty happy wirh the rate I'm getting them, so if they added more to the pool I wouldn't be complaining.

Did the Nightfall with some friends. Finally managed to clear it after... 6 tries? Something like that.

I don't want to think about doing this at Prestige.

Did you do it with 5 minutes to spare? Tried earlier and was unprepared but had about 1:30 on the clock. That 5 will be a true test.

Is there just the Crucible Gunsmith? I've seen several posts about a vendor selling weapon mods. The gunsmith I went to only sold 4 green weapons.

My titan is at 266. I wonder if I should get the Powerdul gear now-and start working on my new Warlock. Everything I've seen about them is making me jealous.

Just finished the campaign mission "Utopia"..

I have to say, wow,how come Bungie suddenly woke up and learned how to design great level? Feels truely epic, LOL.
