Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I'm still early in the end game/post-20, but using 10 legendary shards to pull an exotic from the vault is a poor investment, correct? I have a 155 Sunshot that I want to level up, and the vault collection has a 205 that I apparently need 10 legendary shards to grab.

Also, using legendaries to infuse (if available) make a lot more sense than using 4 shards to infuse a rare blue, correct? Is this an overcharge for convenience or something?

I've read in this thread that Xur will take legendary shards so I'm not spending any of mine until next week when we know for sure and how many are required for him.

Do the Fallen actually use all four of their arms in this one instead of having two of them hang uselessly on their sides, thereby making it pointless to have four arms in the first place?

i've noticed more enemies running on all fours...if that's what you mean? definitely don't remember any doing that in D1.

They move on all fours now, skittering around.

They also use their free arms for melee attacks.

What'll this get me? And where did it come from?

Strikes are match-made team activities that are like story missions and at moderate difficulties, and can be ground for moderate level loot. Usually around 10-20 mins each.

Nightfalls are more difficult versions of strikes, without auto-matchmaking. They usually have modifiers, such as time limits, etc. Better loot. Once per character, per week, if nothing's changed?

Raids are also not match-made, and allow for teams of 6 instead of 3, but longer than strikes, usually multiple bosses, more intricate mechanics, and really good loot. This is the top of the pyramid. Until you really get good at them, it's hard to predict how long they take to complete. Usually hours, early on.
Thanks 👍

WTF... There is so much story content

1. The campaign
2. 2 series/sets of Adventures for each map
3. And now there are Quest lines for each map on top of adventures

I'm light level 263 with no grinding just narratives... insane! I'm not even done with all the story content either

I was nearly 250 before finishing the story and now there's more adventures and quests. So much PvE content. Love it.

My God does the campaign end?

You know you don't have to do the Adventures, right? I was kinda surprised how short the campaign was.

Aside from Earth, there's only like 2-3 campaign missions on each planet. And it seems like you spend less and less time on each successive planet. I think I spent all of 15 minutes on Io.

Me: Hi, Ikora!
Ikora: Alright, I'm ready to leave.

Has anyone heard the complaint that you can't solo the campaign because waves of enemies? I never ran into that issue but I'm not sure if people know that you just need to complete the objective not kill all the enemies.

i've done almost all solo with the exception of the first few missions on launch day...while some may be a little hard i've managed just fine...even making sure to kill almost everything for the XP...

Got to 20 last night got super unlucky with my exotics.

Chose the sunspot handgun......First expotic engram is same thing.

Reward for level 20..Hunter helmet, reward for something else I did....same helmet 5 min later. Ahhhh it's great to be back Destiny!

At what point should I start infusing my Legendary items?

I keep getting all this cool stuff, but then Blues drop with a higher power level and I have to use those. I don't want to dismantle Legendary items so I barely have enough shards to infuse.

Does Titan have more than 2 adventures? Once I did the 2 that were open, no more showed up? I have completed the main adventure.

Yea. Same thing happened to me. The game also keeps giving me Ahamkara's Spine. I've gotten 3 so far. The game really wants me to have that Exotic I guess.

My first exotic engram decrypted to the exotic hand cannon I picked during campaign. I was frustrated but also very slightly okay with it because at least I could go back to using it for awhile before the power level grind made it obsolete it again. If I have one significant complaint about Destiny 2, it's that they still haven't fixed the way that your favorite legendaries/exotics become obsolete immediately until you grind all the way to the top 10% power/light level. The fact that legendary shards are not easy to get at that point in the game seriously disencentivizes you from keeping your favorite gear with you through the grind. I found myself thinking "oh boy, that gun will be really fun to use in a week when I get to 270 and it becomes worthwhile to upgrade it," which is a real bummer.'

Edit: Changing the currency cost so that it's proportional to the level you're upgrading the gear to would be a good potential fix for this, so that lower power level players wouldn't need to be shelling out the same legendary shard cost as power level 280 players.

How's the performance on Xbox One? Got my cousin the game for his birthday tomorrow.

Been playing on xbone, it plays fine and the controller rumble is fantastic. My only problem is I was playing Doom in between sessions of this, and Doom is the best controlling shooter.
