Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Two questions, everyone.

The first: is anyone still having issues with their Pop Tart XP codes? I got a text saying my receipt was approved but where the heck do I get the code(s) from?

The second: I got the Fighting Lion grenade launcher. ...But those are generally power weapons. How do I infuse it?

Completed the EDZ quest and only have the Nightfall milestone to complete.

Exotic engrams have been underwhelming for me so far.

Exotic engrams and exotic quests on other planets are your best bet outside of Nightfall and rolling alt before Tuesday.

I assume you have done Cayde's treasure maps too?

I think they made it worse. Guess they are going for esports and twitch streamers.

From the beta I thought they may have improved things. Nope. Still awful.

There is no balance and every match is incredibly one sided. Parties abound which then makes both points even worse.

Am I fucking retarded? I can't get past this section in the game because I can't do their crappy platforming.

Is there some tip for how/when to glide? Holy crap I've been stuck for 30 minutes.

Glide for sure takes some use time to get used to. Also test out all variants of it to find one that feels to best for you. Basic idea, especially when wanting to gain height, is to look at direction and (above) spot where you want end up to then do snappy double tap of jump. If possible sprint before turning it into glide.

WARLOCKS FLOAT

Only if you don't know how to use glide :b

Is there any way to make alt leveling less painful? No sparrow plus the level 1-20 campaign grind is a pain.

Why no Sparrow? You can move it from main to alt via Vault or with extension like DIM.

So, I got Sturm and Drang (exotic hand cannon + energy sidearm combo) and spent an hour testing them out. Let me tell you about these fucking guns. Sturm is a high impact hand cannon that reloads your energy weapon with kills. Drang is a sidearm that reloads Sturm AND increases its precision damage. By how much, you may be wondering? It fucking doubles it. But that's not even my favorite part. The way to use the combo is:
- Empty Drang on some enemies (getting at least one kill)
- Switch to the precision damage buffed Sturm and massacre some fools until you're empty
- Switch back to Drang to put 12 FUCKING ROUNDS BACK WITH ONE KILL into Sturm.
- Keep the cycle going and never reload again.

Seriously, these guns are incredible in PvE and I really hope Bungie doesn't nerf them anytime soon. Putting back 12 rounds in your primary with one kill is fucking nuts. I can see them lowering it to one kill puts one bullet instead, which is fair, but for now? Enjoy the ride boys. I didn't reload for half an hour lol.

It doesn't work, I really hate shit like this in games / I'm actually retarded and didn't realize until today.

I need this in my life. Drang I assume is a Legendary?

Sturm is from a drop I presume. What about Drang?

Is the MP acting up for others? Just tried to play my first two Crucible matches, and they took forever to load. Then the second one disconnected me at the end of the match...

Yup although I think I did them too early as the drops were not that great.

Is the alt thing just playing through with another character and once you hit 20, transfer the strongest weapons and redo milestones?

Yes. If you want get real sweaty with minmax you level 2nd what ever you leveled first so you can transfer also armor over along with weapons.

Wait you can just buy the sparrow and give it to your level 2 alts?

Is this what the crazy people are doing? What's stopping someone from doing this over and over and over and increasing the light level little by little every time?

It doesn't work, I really hate shit like this in games / I'm actually retarded and didn't realize until today.
Just to be clarify a bit more, make sure you are only double tapping jump and not spazzing out and triple tapping. The third tap will cancel your glide, which is actually really useful.

If you're playing Warlock, you should double tap X/A to gain maximum height. If you leave any gap between presses then you'll gain less height overall, probably not enough for many jumps.

For Hunter, you should wait until you're at the apex of your jump before tapping X/A for the second time. If you don't leave a long enough time between presses you'll get less height overall, and again, not enough for many jumps.

Never played Titan, so can't help with that.

Also try doing it while sprinting for even more distance/height.

Anyone around on PS4 to help close out the Sturm and Drang quest? I've solo'ed it up to this point, but the boss at the end is damn tough alone.
Pretty sure it's a strike boss, actually.
PSN is Mejilan.

I hate how they handle though :(

I'm in the second step. Farming powerful Fallen. I can help you afterwards.

Thanks! I'll start my Hunter (playing as Titan at the moment) tomorrow once I finish the Nessus quest.

Their sanity.

Hunter jumps are just normal jumps - easy to understand.
Titan jumps are boost jets. Whenever you turn them on, they'll boost you upwards/forward.
Warlock jumps are essentially an accelerator. When you hit the double jump, they'll push you faster in whatever direction you're currently traveling.

Thus... If you press your Warlock double jump when you're already coming out of the arc of your jump, it's only going to accelerate you downwards. To get height on a Warlock jump, quickly tap the double jump immediately after your initial jump, so that it accelerates you upwards or forward as fast as possible.

Public Events in Nessus are a decent way to go about those 10 kills. Especialy the Heroic variants. I wound up knocking out my 10 between a few public events, lost sectors, and adventures.

Just got a Exotic Helmet - Mask of the Quiet One - for my Titan which has some great perks for the Sentinel Class...

Grants melee, grenade, and class ability energy when damaged. Void ability kills grant health regeneration.

Last night i spent 3 hours doing public events for that. Just bad luck and never getting fallen events, even by the exodus

That's odd, the first landing zone has two potential public events that work. The giant servitor and glimmer extraction. Pretty sure those are the only two public events that can spawn there, and both have yellow bar Fallen.

Jaydee191

I thought you just needed 1 other person. I could be wrong though

Tried it with one guy and it didn't work. Sucks.

Yea, found out that works as well. Need 3 more

Ok, my light level for my warlock is 265, still have 3 exotics quests to complete "Rat king+Mida+Strum" and 4 milestones with powerful gear or whatever and the nightfall. Any tips or what to do get as high LL as I can ?

I've almost managed to take this bastard out twice solo. A full fireteam would be ideal, but I'm pretty sure just two of us would be able to knock it out without sweating. Otherwise, there's no room for error, as one death or fall and the whole fight restarts.
