Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Something about PVP doesn't feel good to me like with D1. I think once I get the one trophy for PVP, I'm never touching it again.

Is there a good getting started guide/video?

I haven't played the first game but I'm loving this one. Level 11 so far but I feel like I'm lost. Like what's reputation? shards? different types of tokens? fusion?...etc I'm lost lol.

ending at 273. Completed all my milestones on Warlock. Still need to do exotic quests.

I'm a little confused how infusion works. I have an exotic arm piece at only level 100 (acd/0) . I keep getting blues with higher levels but I love it's look and it's bonuses.

Can I infuse it to be a higher level and how to I obtain legendary shards to infuse it . Can you infuse it to max level ?

That part of the game confuses me abit, am I best waiting until I am a high level (aroun 190 ATM )

You need to infuse your exotic arm piece with another higher level arm piece.

You get legendary shards from dismantling legendaries and exotics

So I believe I've found a hidden room in the Tower, down in the Hanger.

==========

1) Spawn into the Tower (once you've finished the campaign and unlocked it), and climb the stairs to get to the upper area of the courtyard. There's an item you can grab around the middle of the walkway that says "Don't Pick Me Up", which turns you red and initiates a game of The Floor is Lava.
2) When you've started the game, you have to make it to a giant pillar of light that spawns somewhere randomly around the courtyard of the Tower. You have to make it there without touching the floor, so walk on rails, flowerbeds, boxes, etc. to get to the light pillar, and when you do you win the game and get a buff called Quickness that allows you to jump higher and run faster (like doing the similar event at the Farm)
3) Once you have this buff, go down into the Hanger and find the steps that lead up to the FWC faction area. Look up and you'll see a walkway overhead, which you can jump to if you have the Quickness buff and jump from the rail of those stairs.
4) Once you're on the walkway follow it around the wall and walk past the person doing welding, and you'll see that the airducts are open. Walk in and turn right, and you'll see another vent you can jump into which leads you to a room which has an item to investigate as well as giant screens on the wall displaying the Daito logo. To leave, you can either go back through the vent, or you can jump out an open window.

So... has there been any discussion on the visual design of female titans anywhere? I LOVED their design in D1, slim build, reasonable shoulder armour, and a menu pose that had an insane amount of sass:

But in D2 female titans have a physical build and a menu pose that makes them look like Brienne of Tarth needing to take a dump, but not near a toilet so best try to clench it in. The World of Warcraft sized shoulder armour doesn't help. Comparison of another gaffer's female titan in D1, and after importing to D2:

It's not just the face that went wrong, the entire figure and posture has changed. Am I the only one noticing/bothered by this? I really wanted to play as a sassy slim female titan again, but I might have to roll a warlock this time around just to avoid being a beefcake :( I REALLY hope this is just down to the bulky armour design more than anything, and we'll get lots of slimmer options in the future. I'm worried they want titans to stand out for PVP though and will adhere to this bulky look for the rest of the game.
Yeah almost everything about the female Titans sucks in Destiny 2.
Massive downgrades all around.

Honestly im feeling burnt out already by like level 15.

It definitely feels like Destiny again but
- Titan armor is hideous so far, thus loot isn't interesting.
- stuck with 1 shitty ship.
- no Sparrow yet.
Well after finishing the rest of the story I actually enjoyed it.
Story is definitely better than 1 but I think I liked D1 far more.

Do some of Cayde's chest have a timer? I opened the last treasure chest in the EDZ, but there was nothing in it. But then 20 seconds later, the chest disappeared and I got the Jade Rabbit emblem and House of Banner item.

Am I crazy or are there only about 4 of 5 actual "outfits" in the game for each class? Outside of exotics all the outfits look very much the same.
I could swear Destiny 1 had a lot more. And not just legendary, but there was even variety in green and blue colored armors.

I hope factions bring more variety.

There's a bit more. Each planet vendor plus Zavala and Ikora have sets. Unfortunately at least for hunters, all the capes are pretty basic.

I miss my furry capes and speaker capes.

So back on the Destiny grind haha. I am really enjoying this so far! It does seem like the legendary and exotic loot is raining from the sky so far, not a bad thing but just after vanilla D1 it is a big difference for sure. Am curious if any of you wanna give the NF a run I am a lvl 270 hunter. Add Uff_duh PSN

END Spoilers

Soooo the darkness is back. That end cutscene is fucking amazing. I can't wait to see what they do

I was a little disappointed with Ghaul in general but the fight was epic. Is he really dead though? I was expecting him to survive until the raid.

Good post w/ an inspired Brienne of Tarth reference! Yeah I noticed all this immediately. I rarely make multiple characters in games so my female Titan was it and the differences in posture, build, along with the face & hair jank pushed me to make a Warlock.

Is it crazy that I've only been to the farm like 3 times since starting the game. Hilarious that make you go back for the
sturm exotic quest
.

Gotta wait for iron banner.

Is it me or is there an insane difficulty spike in a few of the later campaign missions? For Christ sake, I'm double the recommended power and still taking a world-class ass-whooping.

i didn't feel like it got any tougher. if anything it's easier i'd say. but i did finish at lvl 214.

strike rating:

Inverted Spire | A

A clean and steady progression across a variety of encounters and set pieces, along with a "this isn't even my final form" boss battle secure this strike's spot as a mainstay for the game.

The Arm's Dealer | A
An all out warzone. It's big, it's action packed, and features a large boss battle arena for players to muck around about. It's fantastic, unless you aren't in the mood to shoot Cabal.

Savathun's Song | B
Fight shoulder to shoulder alongside your fireteam crushing Hive. With a few mechanics sprinkled in and a disturbing story to make it all the more urgent, it's a solid strike held back only by it's somewhat underwhelming boss.

The Pyramodion | B
Relive the Vault of Glass as Asher yells at you to exact his revenge. Drop down massive chasms, dodge deathly laser curtains, and try to to avoid being sniped by a very angry, very large hobgoblin boss

Lake of Shadows | C
A claustrophobic upward battle filled with precarious platforming, booby traps, and a "floor is lava" bossfight. As challenging as it can be frustrating

Exodus Crash | D
A messy, tedious and needlessly long progression towards a battle whose unique premise of sticky shoe platforms and an invisible boss is overshadowed by how annoying it actually is.

Did you think 90% of D1s strikes were D or F ?

Also I keep getting weaseled, I think my router and modem isn't in bridge mode anymore for some reason. It was the thing that fixed the error in D1 for me. The process I remember was really annoying tough..

What does that entail? (How does it differ from the normal one?)

300 recommended light and cannot switch weapons during the mission, which is quite important in this particular mission and the NF modifiers. Haven't attempted it and probably not until after the raid but you get a
cool aura

Lol the fuck is that final story mission boss. Right when
he transformed into another form and boasted of being a god, the Traveler just like nahhhh fammm.

Fucking lol.

So just beat the game and that very last scene. Do we
have any idea who's ships those are?
Doesn't look like anything we've seen before. A
new race?

Man I should have read this before doing anything once I hit level 20. Currently at 236 and need to be a bit more careful on not ruining my chances at leveling quickly.

I have a level 229 mida mini tool and I'm a bit disappointed. Is there a way to level this gun? I'm holding off on doing the multi tool for this exact reason.

We haven't seen them in-game but the design and formation of the ships was something shown in some of the pre-release Destiny 1 design art.

There's a very old Destiny 1 concept art that references those ships.

They're supposedly the Darkness itself. Sworn enemy of the Traveler
