you should tag this post, we're still in spoiler-time.

and you can open them, they re-spawn every 48h anyway.

Man I should have read this before doing anything once I hit level 20. Currently at 236 and need to be a bit more careful on not ruining my chances at leveling quickly.

I have a level 229 mida mini tool and I'm a bit disappointed. Is there a way to level this gun? I'm holding off on doing the multi tool for this exact reason.
Infuse it with higher power weapons.

Every time there's Fallen Walker public event and I see these blueberries firing off their scorch cannons without charging them up

This might be a dumb question, but what should I be focusing on doing to get my light level up at level 20? Just running strikes?

To be honest, it's very easy to get to level 20, by just going to a world, follow some people around, killing shit and doing public events. You can get any character to level 20 in less than a day.

After you fire, keep holding down the trigger. The projectile will stick to the target and there will be three "clicks" the longer you hold the trigger. Two clicks is good, and three does massive damage.

You're welcome!

Oh god thanks! :D

I definitely WILL NOT tell anyone this so they dont destroy the tanks before I get the chance to destroy the arms caches.

Just cant do the nightfall with 5 min remaining. Way too tough.

Also all but one of cayde's stashes were empty lol and the one's items were really low level lol

Load up with strong scout rifles (I used MIDA and a strong energy one) and rocket launchers or grenade launchers. Time your supers to mess up the end boss before he leaves timed with the appropriate burn. You want him down at least 2/3 before he gets away (some groups straight up kill him here, but we didn't).

Bring him down and finish him off.

Also, a Titan's voidwall grenade damn near insta-kills the second tank during void burn and does massive damage to the boss as well.

291 light / power, now. Exotic upgrades coming slower. Rat King was a 298. I think my 3rd MIDA will also be a 298.

I'm going to get another Sturm to infuse into the Sunshot for a 298 one tomorrow, I think.

I'm wondering what to do increase my power score I wrote light because that's what it used to be called I'm already lvl 20.

Ofcourse, after only getting armor from exotic engrams, the first weapon to decrypt into is Coldheart. I love the weapon and would've been excited if this wasn't a pre order bonus. Well, at least it bumps my LL.

Oh my god this thing is a beast. Absolutely tears through things. Best used in medium-close range or from in the air down on something. Plus the sound it makes. The sound it makes. Urgh, filthy!

Got it from that first exotic engram you get and haven't looked back.

Is there local co-op? Is this game not worth it if I don't have friends to play with online?

it is worth it if you don't have friends. i played pretty much all of D1 on my own and so far I've played solo in D2.

if you want it just for CO-op you'll need to find others to play with on your own. only crucible and strikes have matchmaking. you'll meet random players in game too who'll join up with you to do events. but if you wanna do co-op campaign, nightfalls, raids you need to find other people to do it.

I still can't believe
they didn't add a ship section with it so heavily requested in 1
And after Ghost was so complained about we get stuck with him again meanwhile they create and actual interesting AI assistant and make it a temporary side thing

Eeked my way to 268 with no strikes or nightfall as my friends/clan levels up. Not too shabby.

Storm lock rocks!

Edit: The Wardcliff Coil is awesome.

Don't waste your exotic slot on a heavy. :)

Can I have some advice?

I'm lvl 20 power 201. Just finished the story. I have a couple of hours this afternoon to play and I have any to catch up with my clan power wise so I can do nightfalls etc.

What should I focus on doing? Strikes? Cruicble? Adventure missions?

Which is most efficient?

Holy shit, the Mask of the Quiet One is seriously OP. Void abilities recharge your health, but it counts every melee attack you make as a void ability- not just when your melee charge is full. I stood among a bunch of thrall and just kept punching, watching my health go up.

I'm a Sunbreaker, but for this helmet I'm willing to switch back to Sentinel. :lol Just wish it didn't look so ridiculous.

Got around to doing each of the strikes last night. Can't contain my disappointment, feel they're a big step back from D1. No interesting set pieces, no little puzzles or mechanics, yes they look beautiful but each one is completely soulless and bullet sponge bosses.

- where's the fun double boss or similar change up from the cabal brothers in D1?
- Where are the sparrow gauntlet-runs? The interesting orb carrying mechanics from the Vex strikes in D1 where you have to play escort to your tm? Where is anything as interesting as the dark below strikes?

Instead, all I remember from playing last night, apart from them admittedly looking beautiful, is:

- Destroyed a tank.
- Rip off vault of glass with the only mechanic being 'stand in this aura for 10 seconds.'
- Two bullet sponge vex bosses that aren't a thread in any way whatsoever.
- ...dodging the drill in Inverted Spire is kind of interesting I guess? But I played it once in beta, this time I just ran straight through without killing anything and it took 20 seconds...wow.

All in all, massively disappointed. The strikes are what I was looking forward to, and unless they took all their imagination from them to put into the raid...well, I'm really not feeling hopeful for the end-game. Probably play the raid once and stop b/c I don't know if I can bring myself to play those utterly dull, un-challenging strikes any more than is very strictly necessary.

Is this a callback to that early Xur visit with Gjallerhorn where everyone was saying we shouldn't buy it because it'd be wasting an exotic slot on a heavy lol? Little did we know....

Funnily enough, the best exotic weapon of D2's launch is also a heavy.

What's even more disappointing is I can't find a reason to even to do the Strikes. If one of the Vanguard themed items turns out to be awesome, maybe I guess? Otherwise, it's better to grind a planet and farm tokens.

I did like Pyramidion a lot, though, mainly because I like to see if I can make it through the lasers without stopping.
