Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Am I just bad or did the story take an insane difficulty spike on Io? I've been fine until this point, and all of a sudden this invisible minotaur guy is absolutely nuts, can't even get him to 80% health.

I finally found a way to cheese him but wtf, it's like i made a wrong turn and ended up somewhere I'm not supposed to be.

I’ve posted this before but is anyone else having issues that you are all alone exploring. Public events start to be a pain because of it

Is there a reason why I’m always alone in patrol? :(

Honestly I think the servers are struggling. I've had whole groups vanish around me and whenever I see the 'contacting servers' warning I can basically guarantee I need to leave the session and join again to not be alone for the next half hour.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm a bit confused about the nightfall and have a couple questions.

1. Is the nightfall only available to play for one week?
2. If so does it have exclusive rewards that I'll miss if I don't hit high enough light level in time?

Thanks in advance

1. Nightfall is weekly activity and rotates from strike to strike. Modifiers change every week. Reset is every week, night between Mon and Tue.

2. You just miss out on that weeks weekly rewards so if wanting to minmax PL gains for this release week aim for 250-260 PL before end of Monday and run it. Other than that you aren't missing out on anything you can't do next week.

I don't understand this....why should he save weapons?

He will need 5 scout rifles in his near future and wants to put them into vault. As long they are Blue or Legendary quality.

Just trust me on this ;)

There have been some server issues this weekend I think. We had hiccups on Io, and helping someone thru the campaign it didn't load in others in areas where it should have.

1.3 million people playing it concurrently at 2pm yesterday, so guess the servers are running hot ATM.

Well as someone who loves scout rifles I'll take this advice I guess. Thanks. I'm totally new to this game and am leaning the systems slowly.

Are you switching to your elemental weapon when fighting the minotaur? They have a shield and you can break that shield and melt them pretty quick with your elemental weapon. Or power weapon or super would work too.

I wish they outline the daily and weekly "rituals"

I still have no idea what resets daily and weekly. I'm assuming everything is a weekly reset except Adventures. What about Meditations and challenges? Where do I get the rewards once I finish them?

The boss I'm talking about didn't have a shield though? Plus he would occasionally go immune until you killed a minion. And it only took 3-4 hits from the boss for me to be wiped out, and the arena provided very little cover

I could have read some bogus info, but.. what's the deal with alternate characters getting sparrows sooner? I thought I read something along the lines of "if you have 1 max character/a character that's completed the story, your 2nd/3rd characters get their sparrow at the beginning/sooner."

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm a few missions in on my Warlock & no sparrow yet. :(

I haven't done it myself yet, but I assume you just transfer a sparrow from your first character to your second via the vault.

Started playing Destiny again. Pretty great so far. Waaaaay better opening missions than D1.

Ah, didn't know you were talking about a boss and not just a normal minataur. Before you start the mission check the recommended power level for it. You might be too low and need to go do some patrol activities to get better gear. If your power level is too low, they hit you pretty hard and you shoot peas at them.

Even switching from a low powered legendary/rare weapon to a higher powered green weapon is sometimes counter-intuitive, but what you need to do in the early game.

Absolutely genius! -- thank you! I never think of the simplest solutions.

Open DIM and be amazed how much simpler it's than fiddling around with your Vault.

It's amazing way to transfer gear around on the fly.

Wait, what? Why? I'm 260 and haven't saved a scout.

Because you will soon end up with quest that requires you to have 5 Blue or Legendary scouts.

Quick question.

The default dance can't be replaced? Any new dances use the emote slot?

That's kind of annoying since I have an emote I like and a dance I would prefer take over the default dance.

Thanks, glad it's nothing major as I can't see myself getting anywhere near 250 by Tuesday, on 123 at the moment but loving it so far.

Heh, welcome to one of common complaints from Destiny community over past 3 years.

Bungie, just give us emote wheel...

I honestly found it easier as it went on...until
the end. Now that was a spike I was not prepared for.

So, I'm cautiously eyeing this game after bailing on Destiny before Taken King came out, I'm especially curious about one thing:
Is there any system in place that prevents gear from becoming obsolete with each new expansion? Is infusion meant to prevent obsolescence, or is it just another temporary grind?

I just got the Orpheus Rig, and it has the ability to "Provide ability energy for each enemy tethered by Shadowshot anchors".

What does this mean? Is this worth having?
