Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Man people aren't kidding when they say it's a bitch to level beyond 260/265. I been turning in engrams and tokens so far but only gotten 265 stuff so far. The grind is real.

Honestly the multiplayer is terrible. What the hell did they do to this game?
As a solo player they've sucked the fun out of it completely in some vein attempt to standardise/balance an inherently unbalanced game (which they also failed at but that's for another conversation).

A lot of the community was quick to lay praise on these decisions when the Beta went out but I already feel the fatigue after a matter of days. There's no roll chasing anymore, tactics are limited because of ttk/balance changes (this is accentuated massively in solo play w/ uncoordinated teams), the map design is sorely lacking compared to the best D1 had to offer and, worst of all, everything just has that air of "we need to make this as accessible as possible" (the new scoring system, playlists and decreased relevance of abilities*).

Will we ever see the return of selectable game modes?

*I realise with you only getting 1-2 supers per game now it's supposed to be more tactical but you're only going to see that type of play in Trials. Pubs are still going to pop their super the moment they hit in he face by Captain America.

Hey so I picked up the
Rat King's Crew
after completing the
Patrol Quest from Cayde-6.
. I noticed that after completing 3
patrols with a fireteam, I am unable to get to the next step.
.Is anyone having this problem? Do i have to wait until the reset? Sorry for spoiler spam. Just curious how to get the weapon.

Had two Legendaries drop from enemies during a public event then got an Exotic from the chest. RNGesus is feeling generous today.

Is there a way to toggle on matchmaking on story missions? Only on the tutorial I saw two players and I haven't been matched with anyone else since. It's lonely :(

I'm not sure if I can keep playing this...

I'm lvl 233 and sure I could get quite a bit higher without too much trouble but I feel overwhelmed by how complicated it is just to level up my character. It's killing my motivation to play. I feel like a dumb idiot because everyone else seems to know what they're doing but I can't make sense of it.

Quite disappointed because I enjoyed the campaign and doing adventures, public events, sectors etc. Not sure I'll bother picking it up on PC now or buying the expansion pass for PS4.

Unless you're min-maxing so you can try for world's first in the raid there is no reason to put so much pressure on the leveling process. They have designed the game so that until 260-265 literally anything you want to do will level you up. Just have fun and the numbers will go up, I promise.

Soo...let's assume I just infused a gun called Drang to increase my level - before realizing I need it for a quest. I thought I could rebuy it, but apparently that isn't the case - any way out? xD

Since you got to 233, trust me you Know what your doing. Check if you any milestones to do, do them and get the engrams. Keep doing heroic public events, some crucible. You will level up in no time.

Has there been anything mentioned in the game regarding Rasputin? I liked that lore theory (from the Grimoire) that Rasputin was the one who shut down the Traveller.

You can rebuy it from Tyran Karn at the Farm, but you need the necessary legendary shards to do so.

I'm doing Rat King questline with my buddy and I'm 240 and he's 235. We'll do two Crucible matches tonight (EU time) and then onto that pesky Nightfall. How do we easily find another Guardian to help us with the final step? We're not in a clan, yet.

Looking for a strong 3rd to do the Rat King NF challenge following this method: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/6z6yqx/spoiler_the_nightfall_with_5_minutes/

Best way I think is to post on here, the discord, Reddit, or any 3rd party LFG site.

Yep, welcome to the endgame of destiny. It's incredibly fun but obscure. You gotta like reading Reddit posts and in depth breakdowns and guides. Stick with it! The raid is worth it. There's some great guides posted on Reddit if you search.

Oh, I didn't know that I played Destiny 1 and the Taken King with an ex-girlfriend.
Co op is still in too.

There's fireteam recruitment in the companion app. Don't think you need to be in a clan for that.

Never played the first one much. Picked this one up and it seems pretty fun so far. Up to level 6.

How long do PVP matches take to find? I tried one but stopped after a few minutes since it was at 1/8 still.

I love how for the Fallen Glimmer event they give the machines for the heroic activation JUST enough health to give randoms a chance to screw you over.

apparently there are some slight issues with matchamking, especially if you haven't done a match before.

A little clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Each planet seems to have resetting daily challenges. What do I get? Are they worth while or is it better to run around opening chests and doing public events?

I've read you would wait on opening the Cayde treasure chests until close to 260+. Should I open them regardless close to the weekly reset to do them fresh next week?

I completed a challenge for Ikora. I have not yet accepted the reward. Should I keep waiting? The rewards level seems to be increasing as I level.

I think I may have challenges, flash points, and milestones confused- especially as there seem to be daily planetary challenges and possibly weekly ones. Is there a way to check what's completed and what resets daily/ weekly?

Thought I would be clever and infused my Sunshot with my kid's 226 cast off, which made it a 231 with a LVL 18 requirement... I'm LVL 15.

Then I remembered that I am not clever.

Got my Hunter and Titan comfortably at 280+ PL with multiple weapon loadouts.

I'll start on my Warlock soon but I'm in no rush with that one.

Anyone know the needed mods to exchange for a Legendary Arm Mod?

Destinations Challenges are daily and gives you planetary tokens so you can turn them in to the planetary vendor (Devirm Kay for EDZ, Sloane for Titan, Failsafe for Nessus, and Asher Mir for Io). When you fill up their reputation bar, they give engrams that rewards you with legendary gear up to 265

Don't like the Vex - most annoying enemy to fight.

Was true for D1, stays true for D2.

With the Taken in tow? Nah bro. At least Vex are fun to kill.

They give you tokens for vendor of that location, afaik. Tokens are always worth as legendaries give shards and parts even if you can't use them as PL upgrades.

Yes, do Cayde's treasure maps before weekly reset no matter what!

If ikora's reward scales with your PL than hold off. Remember to pick up before weekly reset.

Flashpoint, Nightfall and Raid are weeklies. You want hold off on those as long as possible, but do and turn in before reset. Even Bungies FAQ for what is weekly etc. is veery barebones.

Just wait until you meet Taken...

Just finished the campaign, found it a bit underwhelming. Vehicle sections were a nice change of pace, and it is definitely better than Destiny 1's campaign, but I found the story to be incredibly rote, cliche, and boring. I do really like the expansion of side activities now though, things like Adventures and Lost sectors are fun and rewarding, and the expanded environments were much needed.

So, we can assume milestones will reset on tuesday right?

I know its best to save them for last regarding levelling up, but I wont have much time to play untill tuesday anyway.
