Mr Peanutbutter is good people.

Fuck that guy. Fuck him ever since he got his start shrieking about rape to children.

The clip I saw really is just a spiral of shit. It's bad enough that his mask slipped once again on a live stream, but the way he justifies it to himself and then his shit-head buddy comes in and blames everyone else for being offended.

Exposing your racism is one thing. Being unrepentant about it and laughing with your stupid friends is a whole other level of ugly.

I know that's not adding much to the conversation. Just... ugh.

I'm praying that something in his head registers this as a mistake. Because if this jackass decides to drop the mask completely and go full alt-right, his potential reach is horrifying.

What the hell with this sentence

"In February, Disney said that while Mr Kjellberg had a reputation for being provocative and irreverent, some of the videos he made were "inappropriate"."

Isn't that like saying "while he might be a bit edgy actually he is sometimes awful" ?

Like you expect the sentence to recover, and instead it gets worse.

They're saying that while he is known for making provocative videos, some of his videos went too far.

Umm, what?

Have we got Boogie/Francis, jontron, h3h3 or even moriarty's hot take on this one yet? I want to see how many rat fucks go down this shit ship.

Boogie is doing his fence sitting limp dick moderate shtick again, trying to steer the conversation towards video game companies who don't want to be associated with this.

Umm, what?
I'm talking about his old Amnesia videos. That was the stuff that got him propelled into the spotlight and made him the big name he is/was.

Those were just him with a scare cam howling and making rape "jokes" about damn near everything. Highly appropriate, considering his audience was mostly kids and tweens.

How have I never heard of PewDiePie until today? Why is he relevant?

Sounds like just another Twitch edgelord fuckwit anyway.

I know that but this is Disney talking
So you expect them to say well while he has made the odd borderline video, basically his heart is in the right place. Or something.

Instead they say he isn't Exactly typical Disney _and_ sometimes goes further.

People are legitimately claiming that because he said sorry, he should be excused. No. Fuck off with that moronic logic. I can’t kill someone, apologise immediately, and expect to get away it. I know there’s a difference between the two, obviously, but the principle is the same. Apologising for something bad does not make it okay.

Others are saying he said what he said out of rage in a ‘tense’ moment in a game. One, it wasn’t tense, he was on a bridge taking pot shots at someone. Two, any normal person in a ‘tense’ moment would use twat/prick/motherfucker. You have to be of a racist mind to jump straight to what he said.

I hope this is his career over.

I don't know if he still has the title, but i remember he hold the biggest youtube channel ever, like #1 subscribers. Dude is absolutely huge. Children love him, there's even southpark episodes dedicated to him and his reach.

Doesn't help he's become really alt-right with his bullshit, so basically he's poisoning children so they can grow up to be as shitty and toxic as he is.

Wait is the Firewatch thing in response to Pewdiepie using that word or his earlier offenses?

If it's the former holy shit Boogie, CALLING SOMEONE A "FUCKING NIGGER" IS NOT PERSONAL POLITICS

Edit: I see that he admits this later, but it still pisses me off, "Oh I'm sure he deeply regrets this mistake he doesn't understand how bad the word is DEVELOPERS WILL TRY TO CENSOR YOUTUBERS BASED ON THEIR BELIEFS!"

Please use google, FFS. You don't look cool posting this, you look severely out of touch. These posts do nothing but make the poster look like an absolute idiot, imho.

Not one person will agree with your "Just another edge-lord" shit when a celebrity of his popularity and caliber is being discussed.

He's relevant because he's arguably the biggest online personality and has a massive influence on not just his 50+ million subscriber base, but non-subs that watch his content.

I guess he answered that specifically?

I know this tweet will be used out of context so please see its clarification: This case isn't just politics, and I know this.

Racism ≠ "personal politics"

agreed. I would edit it if i could.

This is what I don't get. Like, I enjoy profanity, and I've been in plenty of situations where I've used it against other people; if you're interested in an exploration of how profanity can be utilized in everyday situations, just let me give you a ride somewhere during heavy traffic. And yet, despite me enjoying using profanity to refer to other people, I've never once, ever, referred to someone as a "nigger," because I'm not a racist shithead. If you have this word tucked away in your insult bank instead of your "only in an academic setting to discuss why it should never be used" bank, you're a racist. This is not a word that just slips out of white people's mouths on accident.

Someone needs to point out to the fence sitters that when you attempt to take the middle ground between racist and not racist, all you're doing is making yourself look like the kind of person who bends over backwards to make excuses for racists.

Sadly, they will never wake up. These are the same people who claim calling someone a racist is more offensive than actually being a racist.

I took the bait and looked at the tweets.

Boogie, before saying his fence sitting bullshit tweet, said that they were "just words" that you would use casually in private.

God Boogie is such a piece of shit, makes my fucking blood boil. He's now being smug about fence sitting and not taking sides. When one of those sides is racism you're part of the problem.

I've seen a pic of the tweet in two different GAF threads now. When you are a public figure you got to tweet better the first time. He can delete it all he wants, shit's forever.

No sure my point is his I'd edit if I could is ridiculous because he can edit by deleting.

It'd show at least an itsy bitsy modicum of integrity

What led to all this "in the middle" bullshit, generally? Why do people have to find the middle in a lot of these issues? Or is it only when they feel they, themselves, would fall on the wrong side if there was a clear Right/Wrong?

...Extremism, the internet brigade doesn't argue the middle. Video game prices go up, the internet brigade doesn't argue the middle. A Middle Eastern/African country gets a World Cup, the internet brigade doesn't argue the middle.

But someone drops a "nigger" in "broad daylight" and there is a middle.

Anyway. If you're caught in the middle...doesn't that mean you're defending the racist? Wouldn't he rather stand aside? Smh.

Wow. The way it comes out so casually. And then laughing about it. Didn't mean it in a bad way. Ok dude, there is no "good" way for you to use that word.

The fact that he just says it so casually makes it even worse. Shows he uses it more, just was smart enough not to on a stream or video until now.

Disney must be so happy they already dropped this dude earlier.
