Haters = Consumers of the WSJ story who took it at face value and used it as an opportunity to bash "YouTube stars" in general and pile on Pewdiepie specifically.
And so... saying "You fucking n*****!" in a burst of frustration at dying at an inconsequential video game on a Twitch/YouTube stream, thereby violating both their terms of service, on a platform viewed by tens of thousands of people at the time, knowing full well this will be linked elsewhere... is somehow 'getting back' or "trolling" as you put it?
By confirming what respectable, professionally staffed news outlets and informed critics (not 'the media' and 'haters', your language is suspiciously giving him a lot more respect in this instance than those two bodies of people, just saying) are already saying about him?
