Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Anyone knows how lost factor works ? I did 3 on titan heure greyed out but I can still go again and get the loot. No reset needed ?

You can keep doing them, but the first time will give the best loot, farming them over and over will have diminishing returns.

Damn, for me it's close between Titan and Io but I really love the environment design in Titan as being probably some of my favourite in the game. I genuinely thought I'd be burned out on the Hive after the Dreadnaught and TDB but I feel everything about the way they're presented in D2 is far more impactful.

Also those digital displays though, like damn:

I get the comment on the ocean although I'm not sure what liquid methane oceans would look like so I dismissed it for that reason. It certainly looks odd though.

That said Nessus' landscape is really, really nice. The EDZ is expansive and encompasses a load of different sights and Io has some genuinely amazing sights:

I just feel that for the most part it feels too similar (or at least reminds me the most of) Venus from D1. It is my least explored region though, so I could be judging it unfairly.

I feel like they really nailed them all, honestly. Though I can see why people dislike Titan for the reasons mentioned.

It's not the color, its the way the ships float in it with water clipping with ship hull structure. It's as if they didnt expect us to look at them. I mean sure the color makes it look like a toothpaste ocean and isnt the color liquid methane would look like (judging from most other gaseous elements in a liquid state like liquid nitrogen), but the color aside the way it looks is just bad. It's like Nintendo 64 level, or maybe PS2 level, liquid simulation. Just bad. Probably a necessary sacrifice to the resource gods for the rest of the environments, but oof.

It feels like Nessus and Earth are meant to feel like the 2 main planets, they have the best music and the best enemy combinations, plus they're the biggest.

Regarding guided games, what exactly are they? Will it be like guided matchmaking for the Leviathan raid?

I'd love to do a raid but getting the time myself is hard enough never mind having to line than up with 5 other people.

I think you need to go back and look at N64 & PS2 water...

Lol, why are you in a clan then?

Im pretty sure the planet challenges are daily. I wish they rewarded just a little bit more though.

I like the tag, and i think there's synergies beyond finding people to raid with.
Like contributing to clan rewards, right? Stop judging me! ;)

RNG starting to point its finger and laugh now

I really miss the daily story missions, there doesn't really seem to be a straight replacement for them like how bounties have been replaced by challenges on each planet.

My statement might be slightly hyperbolic, but the ocean looks terrible just the same.

I think it looks great. *shrug*

I wouldn't call anything in this game graphically terrible, the art team absolutely nailed all aspects, IMO.

They were given far too much freedom in some of the MP maps though, completely unreadable in combat, and really bad call outs.

Just dumped this in a message to a friend. Just a quick stripped down guide to unlocking the Heroic Versions of public events. Though I'd just paste it here in case it's useful for anyone browsing.

Heroic Public Events

Weapons Exchange (Fallen - Spider Tank)
Use the orbs to unlock all of the domed forcefields before the tank is destroyed.

Ether Resupply (the massive Fallen Servitor)
Whenever a smaller servitor appears and links to the main one destroy them as soon as they pop up.

Glimmer Extraction (Fallen)
A few seconds after the structures spawn for the event and the enemies drop, a box appears around the edge that you can damage. Destroy it for all 3 of the stages

Cabal Mining/Excavation Drill
Destroy the ship that comes back and forth to support the Cabal

Injection Rig (the big dome-shield Cabal one)
When the burning inside the dome appears and you usually get out, there are three vents that open with white steam coming from them. You need to destroy them all while burning. I usually ignore this one lol.

Witches Ritual
After you nuke the first two wizards, but before the second one, recapture the plates and destroy the two crystals

Disrupt Vex Construction
Capture all of the vex plates (they look like VoG ones) as they appear.

Taken Blight
During the waves an increasing amount of pillars will appear, destroy all the pillars..

Titan's my favorite planet. I like the condensed form of it. Plus when you enter inside the one section and see everything. I was like, holy crap there is more to this place than the floating barges. Very cool design

I'm thinking about maybe trying this, but I wanted to check something first. Will this game have paid DLC or expansions similar to the first? Or will it be free, but supported by loot boxes etc?

I don't like Nessus. The art is pretty and I like the music, but there's so much random clutter everywhere and nooks and cubby holes aplenty, so nothing really stands out beyond the spawns.

Titan grew on me and I haven't spent much time on Io, but it's gorgeous.

Reached 280 light, and just before I have to be at work. Bought a few legendary mods, but at least I got this far without to much of a crazy grind. Probably gonna work on my second character a bit after work.

Also, got Wardcliff Coil from an exotic engram, love that thing!

Maybe spoiler tag one or two of them for sensitive folk.

Thanks. I done only the 3 on titan. Should I wait 260 to get the other or it caps at max ? I'm around 245 now.

Paid DLC/expansions like the first.

Like the first Destiny

Thanks. I played the original around launch and quite enjoyed it, but ended up stopping before the expansions came out. With this I am kinda on the fence as i'm not too sure what to expect. Basically I loved the gameplay from the original, as well as some of the exploration. But it felt a bit thread bare at times. Also non of my friends had the game so I felt like I was missing out on a lot of content, which I am worried may be the same case with the new one.

Titan is the setting of the best mission in the campaign, and the "secret" area in there is my favourite location in the game so Titan wins out for me.

Ikora's meditations?
These need to be done in an FT right? I picked one up and it said I needed to be FT leader to interact with the mission marker.

I've always done them solo, but if you're in a fireteam then the leader has to start it.

That Taken Blight one is wrong.

You need to jump into the smaller blights, get a buff and then damage the big Blight.

Ok, so according to reddit you can "fix" the mida mini tool quest on your main character by doing the following:
Get the mini tool on a secondary character, transfer it to main character and the quest should become active.

Can anyone confirm??

Finally looked up what the emblems meant that were given to vets. Guess I'll equip the one where I did all the Triumphs in Year 1. Def a rare one now.

Are there any fusion rifle, shotgun or sniper rifle exotics that equip in the kinetic or energy weapon slots?

I don't see myself ever using those weapon types otherwise. The way power weapons are set up in this game seems really dumb.

Yeah those Ikora missions are weekly. I did one yesterday and there's two there today rather than three.

It's a shame there's no chests or lost sectors in the Arcology.

None that we know of.

Wait, wait, wait... milestones reset weekly? So there's no point on me waiting to hit 260 to do them, because I surely will not hit that before they reset this week, whenever that is.

I can confirm. The Gunsmith had the mission waiting for me on my main (messed up) character.

I had given up on Destiny and all its expansions and I was not going to buy Destiny 2. But I did and I am glad that I did.

After 25+ hours spent on D2 I can say that it is a big improvement from D1. At this point in D1, I had already seen most of the content in the game, but now with D2 there is still so much more to do.

I am going to do the Nightfall mission this evening UK time before the reset if anyone wants to join on Xbox. Feel free to add me: GT: Ont9.

Nope, they're all power weapons. Blame Bungie panicking and having a mental breakdown then attempting to balance the game around the Crucible, rather than balancing around having fun.

That's either a bug or there is a hidden power level requirement. Tried in my 190's and it said I needed to be leader of fireteam, went back later and I was able to do them without a fireteam.

No but there is an exotic grenade launcher that takes up your secondary, looks like a mini Gjallahorn in design. I dont like it though, the grenade bounces are too wild for me and doesn't hit hard enough.

I actually don't see much point in grenade launchers at all, apart maybe from the ones that stay in the ground when shot and explode on contact.

So Snipers are totally useless in PVE, right ?
I can't speak for anybody else but I personally do not like using them in D2. I loved me some Black Spindle in D1 but I'd rather use just about any other power weapon in this game. Haven't found a sniper rifle that I love yet.

Anyone find any dope ones yet?
