The worst part for me is that I defended PewDiePie in the past, notably with his Disney-Nazi fiasco because I somehow believed his " satirical " impersonation of Hitler was taken out of context like he said and used in clickbaity media titles for the sake of stirring the public. He cleared that up and seemed remorseful and I forgot about it even though I was uneasy with it .

Indeed. Having been used to Reddit for awhile now it's honestly massively refreshing to see bans being dealt appropriately and without hesitation. Number of people who feel the need to defend the use of the n-word for the sake of being able to use it themselves is disgusting to witness, but remedied by the swift and severe swings of the banhammer.

These Youtube stars don't have the character to be interacting with and/or influencing kids. Pewdipie is a perfect representative of immature, low character internet culture. As an old man raising kids a bit too young to know or care about Pewdipie, I'll definitely be monitoring their Youtube consumption when that eventually happens.
