45 minute Direct? Yes please! Also glad that there's no mobile stuff in there.

My predictions:

  • Super Mario Odyssey will take up 7-10 minutes
  • Short trailer for Metroid: Samus Returns
  • Trailer for Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon (new Alolan formes, more on the new formes of Solgaleo/Lunala)
  • ARMS/Splatoon 2 Updates
  • Zelda DLC 2 trailer + release date
  • Short Pokken Tournament DX trailer
  • Fire Emblem Warriors trailer
  • Xenoblade 2 trailer + release date
  • Switch OS stuff (mostly just for multimedia apps, but I could see some general updates being detailed too)
  • 3rd party stuff: Skyrim release date, Payday 2 release date, Rocket League release date, Stardew Valley release date, features on various 3rd parties/indies (sports titles, LA Noire, RE Revelations, Octopath Traveler, Yooka-Laylee, Hollow Knight, etc.)
  • Dragon Quest XI Switch official reveal
  • New footage for Yoshi Switch
  • New footage for Kirby Switch
  • First look at Fire Emblem Switch

My wants, hopes, and dreams:

  • Bayonetta 3 Switch
  • Switch Tales game
  • Dark Souls III Switch port
  • Resident Evil 4 and/or 7 Switch port(s)
  • SMT Switch
  • Smash 4 Switch
  • Metroid Prime 4 (please?)
Don't be afraid to dream a little bigger my lad

I'm gonna keep on dreaming that we'll get announcements for Switch VC and an Okami HD port and no one can stop me!
Except Nintendo come Wednesday...

I'm of the opinion that it would be wise for them to try and get multimedia apps on the Switch before the holiday season. I'm hoping they shed some light on that during this Direct.

It's very likely just fake. Nintendo has never once had a worldwide Direct where they don't announce a new game, and I don't think Fallout 4 would be a Nintendo published game.

I'm not disagreeing that it's likely fake, just that the lack of 3DS games shouldn't be an indication. I've already pointed out the the Zelda DLC is listed as releasing on a Friday, which the Switch eShop updates on Thursdays.

The only thing that would get me interested back to the 3DS apart from Metroid is a localisation of the Great Ace Attorney but there is no chance of that happening because Cacpcom.

I also just realised something! Team Cherry (Hollow Knight developers) did say next week we will hear something about their game coming on Switch. I am at least expecting a Hollow Knight release date this Wednesday hopefully.

An updated version of the bingo card template, in case someone wants to indulge in such:

We're likely going to see between 30 and 50 games again. Here's what I think is a definite lock :

- Super Mario Odyssey
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- Fire Emblem Warriors
- Yoshi
- Zelda BoTW DLC
- ARMS 3.0 Update
- Skyrim
- Rocket League
- Nights of Azure 2
- Sonic Forces
- Payday 2
- Pokémon UltraSun/UltraMoon
- Lady Layton
- The unnamed Kirby game supposed to release this year
- Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga + Bowser's Minions

Here's what is likely to be shown :

- Kirby (Switch)
- Sushi Striker
- NBA 2K18
- Etrian Odyssey V
- Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology
- Shin Megami Journey Strange Journey Redux
- Resident Evil Revelations Collection
- RiME
- WWE 2K18
- LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2
- Monopoly
- Steep
- One Piece Unlimited World Red Deluxe

Add to that around 10 announcements, both 1st-party and 3rd-party, on both 3DS and Switch (but with more for Switch), and we could get to a hefty 40 games shown. Considering the last Direct had around 30 games, while only lasting 35 minutes and with half the airtime dedicated to ARMS & Splatoon 2, it seems plausible.

EDIT : they're also going to talk about hardware, so maybe cut a few games but not too much.

I just hope that they don't spent 35 minutes spoiling Mario Odyssey Just 5 minutes showing how Amiibo works, and maybe a limited edition it is more than enough. Fire Emblem Musou should appear too, a Season Pass for the game is almost a given.Pokken, Pokemon Ultra too.

Also a release date for Skyrim and Xenoblade 2, plus a limited edition for both would be nice too.

A Nintendo Direct demands some hopes and dreams, so it wold be cool if Platinum announces a port o Vanquish for Switch, Bayonetta 1 + 2 , The wonderful 102 would also be cool and a tease for something new.

I really hope that the this presentation, have a lot new announcements, mainly from third parties.

If Retro doesn't have a game here they're officially a non-existant studio.

---

Don't waste too much time on old stuff.

---

Not worried about them only showing 2017 games. They said it would be like that at E3 and then most of their conference was 2018+.

Tropical Freeze Switch please....Please?
Also Bayo 2.

Lol no. Do you really think that they will announce a game they had in works for almost 5 years in a randomly announced direct? You can make that statement if there still isn't anything next E3.

Also looking at that "leak" is that seriously going to take up a lot of time? Runbow? Hotline Miami? Even if you want to say it's the person leaking Switch games, then all that stuff might take up 20 minutes to 25 minutes. There's no way Nintendo is spending 20+ minutes on 3DS I feel like.

Where are the insiders? Do they really not know what we can expect? Lol

Personally, I'm just happy to see a Nintendo Direct again. Its been so long.

More Switch stuff will make me even more happy.

They usually don't spend more than 5 minutes on a game that's already been announced and detailed. I'm expecting like 1-2 minutes of Odyssey max, maybe a bit more if there's DLC they're announcing.

I'm not disagreeing that it's likely fake, just that the lack of 3DS games shouldn't be an indication. I've already pointed out the the Zelda DLC is listed as releasing on a Friday, which the Switch eShop updates on Thursdays.

Ah gotcha. Yeah I think there are plenty of red flags, not just the lack of 3DS games. Filing that as fake.

That seems like an awful lot for 45 minutes - plus I'm expecting anything that's coming soonish to get a 5 minute chunk or so (unless it's getting its own direct? I'm wondering about FE Warriors in that regard)

I'm already extremely stoked for Metroid, Mario and Xenoblade so whatever they announce is just free bonus.

Unless it's a Xenoblade delay.

Again, last time we had a Direct it had around 30 games with less time and while being focused on two games that cumulated 15 minutes for themselves. This time, it's longer and there's no focus.

WE BOUT TO SEE METROID PRIME 4 YALL!!

I doubt we'll see Metroid Prime, maybe a bit about Samus Returns but no Prime. I'm guessing that will be a late 2018 release at the earliest, so it wouldn't really make sense to reveal it now.

They might reveal stuff launching in H1 next year though, since right now we only really know of Kirby and Yoshi (and those don't even have release windows).

Yeah hopefully this follows that same format. What with the Nindies video recently I don't know if I'd expect the same content density but there will hopefully be a substantial amount of games.

I'll just post this as usual and hope against all reason that Retro (or anyone except Dyack really) is working on a new Eternal Darkness.

Nintendo's randomly announced directs, like, are their main shows for announcements now...???

WE BOUT TO SEE METROID PRIME 4 YALL!!

I know it's not happening. I have no illusions of it happening. And yet, Nintendo can not follow up a Zelda/Mario year with just Yoshi/Kirby. They can't.

apart from news about already announced games, I'd like to see other games for Switch, such as:

From Nintendo:
- Pikmin
- Bayonetta 1+2 collection
- Bayonetta 3
- Luigi's mansion 3

From third parties:
- Tales of Vesperia
- Taiko Nintendo edition
- Dragon Ball Fighter Z
- Naruto Boruto Ultimate Ninja
- PES 2018 International edition
- Castlevania R
- Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 collectionù
- Resident Evil Remake 2
- Resident Evil 7 GOTY
- Inazuma Eleven Ares
- Megaton Musashi
- Fate/EXTELLA Link
- Disgaea 6
- Persona 5 Gold

I expect absolutely nothing.
No virtual console, no "good and interesting" announcements. Just the usual "this is coming and this is coming and this is already out for a week but you already know that, oh and here 2 new amiibos as peek of this Direct.

But maybe I'm wrong and they surprise me.
