Hopefully it'll be a show not tell direct where we get a ton of substantial footage and details rather than just trailers. There's a ton of currently announced games that could use info dumps.

It usually goes like this:

Show - Tell - Tell - Tell - Tell - Show - Tell - Tell - Tell - Tell

Unfortunately

I don't think any new Nindies will be here since they released a direct for Nindies August 30th...

but I'd love for Lovers In a Dangerous Spacetime to release on the Switch. I think it's perfect for the system. Great co-op game.

Looking forward more info on Zelda DLC. I really want Nintendo to make DLC for Mario kart 8 Deluxe. I need more. I want Block fort and electrodrome battle stage with remix like the same way they did with dragon palace.

Going to assume mostly release dates for this one (Xeno, Skyrim, Stardew, etc,) - a lot of games we know are coming this year still don't have em'.

What I'm hoping for? Virtual Console discussion. Bring on dat Gamecube VC.

Nintendo Direct hype!

IN!

Expecting lots of Mario coverage but hoping they won't spoil it too much

Too early to hope for a metroid trailer?

Show me bayo 3, Nintendo.

Edit - Also I'd LOVE for the Zelda DLC to be set pre-calamity Gannon. Coming across all the ruined villages and fortresses in the full game fills my mind with what they once looked like.

I thought they had confirmed it is set post Calamity Ganon, meaning after you defeat him.

The released cutscene footage showed characters who are not alive pre-Calamity Ganon. I don't remember if Nintendo actually made a statement on this, but the cutscene footage at least heavily suggested it would take place post-ending.

Praying theyre gonna do a "oh and Stardew Valley is available to DL from the eshop right after this conference" 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It was submitted for testing a couple of weeks ago, right? I wouldn't be shocked if it wound up getting fast-tracked to get released ASAP.

A long Direct is not an indicator of big megaton announcements. It means a lot of indies (wich is good) and 3DS stuff (wich is bad).

Indies had their own direct.

This will mostly be about big 3rd parties ( Skyrim, fifa, 2k18, LA noire), some 3DS games because Metroid launches on Friday, Zelda DLC and Mario.

Mayyybe a surprise from a 3rd party and the rumored achievements (I hope not).

Really doubt: any kind of VC, Netflix. Metroid 4 or Retro game ( ;_;)

TGS is next week too?! I was hoping they'd at least toss us some breadcrumbs about Animal Crossing mobile in this direct, but who am I kidding, Odyssey is gonna steal the show.

After witnessing the success of Pokemon Go Nintendo must be looking to build more experiences that heavily leverage AR and social features. Nintendo is in a very unique position to capitalize on AR-enabled mobile games as the technology and tools really start to proliferate over the next couple of years.

Went to see a psychic today. I asked what my life had in store by the end of the year and she slammed her cards down on the table and said:

"METROID. PRIME. TRILOGY. HD"

Its not too early for Metroid. You guys have no idea how long its been in development with those custom people

I'm one of the ones who thinks it's much farther along than most think, but I still don't see why they'd reveal it here unless it's launching early 2018. And it's a pretty big title so I'd expect it Holiday 2018 if it's launching in 2018.

It's a big reveal they can save for the January Direct or even E3.

Went to see a psychic today. I asked what my life had in store by the end of the year and she said the below words and then slammed her cards down on the table.

"METROID. PRIME. TRILOGY. HD"

Now that I could see happening. And I'd be so happy.

Did you miss the last directs?

Oh my fucking god. Why do you have to do this to me. Now I'm going to get disappointed.

Just a Skyrim release date please, I can't think of any game that we've ever been less than 3 months from release from and it's not had a date.

I'm so sure it's getting pushed to Q1 at the moment, but I really don't want it to be.

I referred on Switch. If Capcom is developing a Phoenix Wright game on Switch, I'm in.

No. :(
Yeah, I probably wouldn't be surprised if Capcom was already working on an Ace Attorney game for the Switch (though I wouldn't expect it until late next year at the earliest).

Obviously pumped af for Odyssey, but really excited to see what other megaton surprises the Direct might drop. New, unannounced games and amiibos are always most fun.

As for pipe-dream wish list:

  • *LUIGI'S MANSION 3
  • *Bayo 1+2 /W101 Switch ports confirmed
  • *Footage of Animal Crossing Switch
  • *Footage of Pokemon Switch
  • *Footage of Prime 4
  • *Tokyo Mirage Sessions Switch
  • *Kirby's Air Ride 2
  • *Chibi Robo Switch (not ziplash)
  • *BotW Story DLC shown more + solid release date
  • *Real goddamn release dates for Stardew Valley, Golf Story, and Hollow Knight

ARMS didn't get a release date until like two months before.
