Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

so I'm getting an exotic engram for beating the campaign. It says power 222, should I not take it until I level up more or is it locked in?

Locked in when you get it

It is locked in when you actually TAKE it from Zavalla, so level up as much as possible before taking it. Also note that you need to take it before you do the nightfall, as that is a step in the questline to unlock the nightfall.

Ok im power 231. I play solo. Do i now.just do the following:
- run strikes
- do the weekly cayde mission
- grind rep through patrols, public events and challenges.

Anything else? Im not to interested in this games pvp.

Yea and focus on milestones. You may want to dip into pvp a bit for a few challenges/milestones. They don't take too long.

Courtesy of everydaymath off of discord. Factions incoming. Dead Orbit is best orbit BTW

So... Is the faction rally just the faction leaders being added to the new Tower? Maybe they didn't want to overwhelm players with too much factions at first (between the ones on Destinations, the Tower, etc..) so they just delayed their presence in the Tower.

I would be pretty disappointed if it brings nothing more than the 3 factions leaders. :/

I have a feeling there's going to be more competition with the factions. Maybe you pledge loyalty for a season and rep totals at the end determine your rewards.

Three leaders, bunch of armor and weapons.

The weapons you can get already from crucible and treasure maps oddly. I have two NM guns, 1 dead orbit and a fusion rifle from FWC.

It's likely just that, but I'd imagine they revamped a bit how these particular factions work compared to Destiny 1. I'd say that, in addition to the armor and weapons, they come a long with milestones, quests and daily challenges.

My one hope is that their armor is not just a new skin for existing armor in the game. That was always an issue with Destiny 1. I recall seeing a Dead Orbit cloak in one of the trailers that looked different than what's in the current selection.

Hit 285, leveling a 2nd Warlock actually turned out pretty decent, I now have a 293 Mida Multi-Tool (288 mini), while farming for the Scout Rifles I also picked up a Merciless Fusion Rifle from an exotic engram..that thing is goddamn mean..Now I just need a Legendary Scout Rifle to infuse my old 283 Mida into.

Beat the Nightfall last night with a couple of friends on our third try (Hadn't tried it before last night) - pretty pleased with that. It was tough as nails, and the final moments were insane. All of us coordinated our subclasses (Arc) and popped our supers at the same time. Boss was around half health, probably around 40 seconds left on the clock. One of our fireteam died as soon as he popped his super but me and the other guy went straight to the boss and lit him up, I just remember shouting "We got him! We got him!" as his health went down and then yelling in joy as he exploded into a pile of glimmer and loot with 23 seconds left on the clock.

This is why I love Destiny.

So since crucible doesn't take power/level into account I'm assuming the fact that I seem to have higher ttk than some of my higher leveled opponents that some might have access to a better gun than me?

There's also the possibility that I suck too. But I don't necessarily feel outgunned by these guys.

Guns and aiming. The aim is more important. Headshots do way way more damage and is the key to fast kills.

Does anyone feel aim assist is REALLY strong in this compared to D1? Not sure if this is with certain weapons but I often feel my aim being drawn away from a secondary target (Like the Thrasher ships for activating the Heroic Cabal Mining Public Event) and trying to push me to hit enemies instead.

So how much of this game can be played with pubs? I recognize I prolly won't get to do the raids. But how much else can be reasonably completed? For reference I played vanilla Destiny 1 and no expansions. I hated doing the same strikes with the same bullet sponge bosses over and over.

Oh, I get it now.

I don't even know why Glimmer exists at this point.

You and me both. Really is pointless. Wish there was some halfway decent weapons and armor to buy for straight glim... even if it were just blues for crucible stuff. Like a little rotating weekly selection of stuff. Would be nice.

I just want to reiterate that I'm fairly sure the information that the Rat King can only be done on certain Nightfalls is false. As far as I know ALL Nightfalls are going to have timers on them in Destiny 2.

Yeah. Sometimes it's really hard to shoot barrels because the aim will snap superhard on enemies.

Yeah it can get a bit annoying when your getting precision shots and something runs across your sights taking you off the target.

ok...this might be a stupid question but here goes...

I know the Bright Engrams are just supposed to be customization stuff (or Ships and Sparrows) but there are Armor "skins" in them too. How do those work exactly? When I looked at them in preview they just had like 10 Defense so do you have to use them as a base to infuse other armor into?

You need to infuse them with other armour to raise their Power.

Anyone on ps4 feel like giving the nightfall a shot? Tried it earlier this week with some friends and failed multiple times by a few seconds each time...
