Lola Pop release after direct seems right, with a quick overview of arms 3.0.
It's been almost a month and well, timing seems right since we didn't have a date.

Unlike LA Noire though, GTAV has this insane online mode. I dunno if Rockstar would want to support that infrastructure on a sixth platform? Definitely think GTAV could run on the Switch just fine though.

I'm sure GTA online is the main reason for a GTA V port not coming. I mean Nintendo's online system is weird and I don't think they've even authorized microtransactions on switch yet? They probably don't have a system in place for that.

Stardew Valley for Switch release date confirmed? It's already been sent off for cert so they definitely gotta finalize this thing. My wife has been patiently waiting for its arrival on Switch.

Xeno...blade... too?

Ah yeah of course, let me adjust accordingly. It's a bit tight and I wasn't sure what could possibly get cut, but I managed to squeeze it in. I also have taken into account what the other poster said about Bayonetta, as it makes sense.

Samus Returns trailer (3 mins)
ARMS new content overview (5 mins)
Breath of the Wild: Champions Ballad Trailer (3 mins)
LA Noire Trailer (3 mins)
Fifa 18 gameplay + demo announcement (3 mins)
Indies (3 mins)
Miyamoto (12 mins)
Rocket League release date (2 mins)
Xenoblade 2 trailer + release date (2 mins)
Super Mario Odyssey Gameplay (5 mins)
Switch OS updates + apps (3 mins)

And one last thing!

Bayonetta 1/2 + Vanquish Switch (1 min)

You're still missing the Zelda DLC though :D

Mario has a release date already.

i don't know if the time is right for announcing pikmin. They already announced Yoshi, Kirby and Metroid for 2018, each IP being a moderate success (around 1/2 millions sold per entry). Pikmin is in the same category. They rather need some big guns for 2018, the like of Smash or Animal Crossing.

My predictions :
- Turrican IV: Rise of the Machine, new Factor 5 studio and Manfred Trenz (2D plateform-shooter).
- Metroid: Samus Returns, MercurySteam
- Turrican Anthology

I don't care for the rest.

Playing the Banjo

Nintendo Switch logo and jingle play out

The camera pans near a spacious backyard. A small man-made stream is in view, water glistening in the faint sun. A lush garden claims most of the surrounding area not taken by the fountain stream. Camera pans further, we see Miyamoto sitting quietly on the floor, situated at a low rise table, cushioned by a floor pillow. Behind him is a traditional Japanese style home, its rustic design indicating that we are in a more rural area. He strums his banjo slowly, silently tuning it bit by bit, until he motions his head towards the camera.

"Hello!" he smiles. He plays a little tune while making a face, as if to act silly to ease the viewer. "I had always tried to keep my garden as neat and as spruced as it can be."

He motions to the plants, all colorful and lively. He continues strumming the guitar.

"When I developed Pikmin, it was always because I had fun managing every little thing in my garden, in order to have it grow strong and resilient. Creating and growing different Pikmin and conceptualizing the different ways they can survive the environment was always an interesting task for me, like my garden. As we went back to the very core of Pikmin, it was in our minds to move back to the basics of our gameplay to see how we could iterate on its mechanics in a way to do the Pikmin justice."

He smiles again, looking away from the camera and strumming his banjo.

"As we near the end of the development of our new Pikmin title, my team had grown strong and resilient as well."

The strumming continues for 2 solid minutes.

"Seeing our team work so hard had inspired me to postpone any further information regarding Pikmin for now, as we focus on my new project, a meta-referential management game called New Nintendo Game Dev Simulator U, in hopes that you too can become strong and resilient as my team."

The strumming becomes erratically louder. Miyamoto smiles with teeth for another 3 solid minutes.

The mood is broken by the screen door opening behind Miyamoto, a head pops out. Sakurai enters the scene. Miyamoto turns to look at him, displeased.

"Can we have Meteos as one of the games they can develop in this simulator."

"For the last time, no!"

Red graphic transition. Jingle starts. Camera reveals a speechless Bill. After a moment's composure, he tries to talk about Rocket League.

Fingers crossed for Okami HD on Switch.

Although I highly doubt Capcom would do such thing

Why would they do this? Do you think there is an audience for an colourful adventure game on a console with optional motion controls? Why would Capcom put okami on switch lol that doesn't make any sense come on!

Yes I'm salty again, they can't be that stupid but I'm afraid they are

I'm sorry you can say Gamexplain was speculating in their Direct predictions video, but it's so out of left park for Andre to say "how would you guys feel if MGS Phantom Pain comes to Switch?" He doesn't even care about MGS and for him to say that out of nowhere is suspicious. I've watched countless Gamexplain videos to know what these guys like and predict.

Him and Rodger said they heard rumblings of big third party games coming to Switch and L.A. Noire was probably just the tip of the iceberg. They threw out stuff like maybe Bethesda has another game or Rockstar or Square with Final Fantasy.

These guys get insider knowledge too and they wouldn't say this stuff, especially Andre.

Yeah, that made me raise an eyebrow

Omg I would double dip and 100% MGSV again without blinking twice.

The GameXplain discussion increased my hype levels a bit. Still going to keep it in check but with the length and some of their predictions/statements I'm definitely excited for the Direct.

Phantom Pain would make sense. We know it is capable of running on the hardware and Bomberman R way overperformed on the platform.

Easy port, easy money.

Y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment if you start thinking GameXplain's fun predictions are meant to be taken seriously. I don't understand why Nintendo fans rush to believe in any bit of speculation or rumor. Be level headed for once and realize that GameXplain and Rogers Base enjoy throwing out predictions because it's a part of the hype cycle of a Nintendo Direct and not a serious prediction or reflection of insider knowledge.

Every. Single. Time.

But wouldn't selling a few million copies of a port of the biggest game ever be enough? I mean sure they wouldn't take in another additional billion dollar but not selling a Switch version means that they are not selling the game to new potential customers

Are we assuming it'd be an easy port because Fox Engine ran so well on PS3/360?

I don't have any experience with fox engine on PS3/360, but a quick Google search tells me Phantom Pain upon release ran at an unstable 20-30fps on PS3.
