Your bitterness with the product is strange since I don't see you pulling same shit with SFV, right?

Day one buyers paid 60 + 30 + 30 for Base game, S1 and S2 so it's 120. We are going to pay other 30 for upcoming S3 so we would pay 150 dollars for 34 characters in SFV which is still less than the total numbers of USFIV. Regardless with reused assets or not.

Also it's just same thing with MVC3/UMVC3/DLC.
People shit on SFV enough.

This practice doesn't need defending. It was shitty before and it's still shitty now.

And with Capcom knowing exactly who has the review copies right now, I'm sure they'd be quick to know who leaked that info.

Not everyone is getting the PC version.

Also, the PC version has Denuvo. Does that limit modding?

Tekken 7 has Denuvo and mods. For now that's all we know.

No one wants to bite the hand that feeds them. That or no one they sent it out to is even thinking about looking at story mode yet because they're too focused on learning the game.
 
$4 costumes my ass. I'll wait for a steep ass costume sale in a few years like we got for SFV.

What the fuck is that damage? That should've killed Tony twice.
Honestly, damage scaling is one of my biggest concerns for gameplay, and I don't think they're insignificant ones. They need to up or implement a minimum for supers. And Level 3s should absolutely be unscaled.

Did you not watch the streams last night? People were already doing 70% dmg combos after a couple of hours.
 
The scaling is harsh, but unless they limit combo length or damage in another way, it may be necessary.

Only two characters and no assists, the major mechanic in this game is the tag mechanic. Losing the most important tool in the whole game because you got touched once is something that should not happen, no matter how many resources the opponent has.

Yup, I agreed with the fact the practice is pretty bad and the prices were stupidly expensive. My point is still stand when we are talking about using our money to buy the contents. People who want to buy everything is going to pay same thing for MVCI as they did with SFV if people just prefer to use cash for characters only.

That's why I'm sticking with Season Pass because it actually save some money and I really hope those money is going toward to DLC Development and Marvel License because I don't mind to see more characters coming in. If they chose to not continue DLC supports then that's probably end of the lifespan.

My stance with Fight Money: Buy Season Passes to get all characters and premium costumes, and spend Fight money on story costumes (if I actually like any) and stages. It sucks that I can't even do same thing for MVCI since I would rather to get some costumes and stages for free but I'm mildly curious to see how much they would charge for the stages.

I don't really believe you! :P But seriously tell me your secret how did you get those 12 characters for free? I did challenges weekly, and did many methods to unlock the fight money.
 
Honestly, damage scaling is one of my biggest concerns for gameplay, and I don't think they're insignificant ones. They need to up or implement a minimum for supers. And Level 3s should absolutely be unscaled.

It's just two characters (life bars) now, they probably want to avoid TOD as much as possible.

Yea, I think that more than anything we will be seeing tons of styling on people as they come up with crazy shit like this.

Also - can someone explain how he was able to do so many hypers in a combo? Meter only goes to 4...he didn't gain another level during the combo, and yet he did 5 hypers in that (last one looked like a level 3, but I haven't followed Ultrons gameplay too much). I searched for Soul Stone info, but couldn't find much....nothing stated about free meter though

1 with Jedah before the infinity storm, leaves him with 3 bars, then 3 lvl 1s with Ultron leaves him with no bar, and then the free lvl 3 you can do during the storms (which ends the storm)
 
If you want TOD game play then just pick power stone. I am pretty sure every character is going to have a TOD with it plus 3 bars and Storm.

Scaling in the game is fine. Maybe lvl3s can be better but the rest is fine. Game hasn't even released yet and we have 70%+ combos with solo characters. You are going to die in 4 hits.

I really like the harsh scaling, but I fear an unintended side effect now is that damage supers are far less useful to their install counterparts or in general. Meter usage, as many who have played competitively already have said, will primarily be for counter switches, and that kind of sucks if supers are too crappy to waste meter on.

We know and it's a shitty decision. If I have saved up 4 bars and storm I should kill a character free because I earned it by managing my meter. AND this game already has Burst so WTF are they scared of?
 
I'm thinking Time and Space will be the two stones I use the most given my main team will be Dante/Haggar. But I can't wait to try all sorts of team and stone combinations.

If you play the game a lot, the FM will come naturally. So yes, I've gotten all of the characters for free, and I have a ton of FM to spare. Paying so much for individual characters sucks.
 
Justin isn't entering for SCR for Marvel, wonder what other pros with access to the review copy will do.

Some storms are too powerful in their utility to also allow a TOD. Getting a resurrection AND command of the neutral AND TOD is too good on just one stone.

I found it hilarious that I'm being realistic about the costs and how they would done their DLC. Then people suddenly pulled that crap. I'm calling all hypocrites out front row because you know it's true. There are several companies that always nickel and dime us for downloadable contents, and it slowly become the thing for fighting genre and I don't think it will go away because they want money and they know that some fans would buy it regardless the price is.

I meant Arc System sold Rev 2 as paid expansion for 20 dollars with only two characters and some changes. If you want to play other two characters, then you have to pay 7.99 dollars per character(s). At least, we got season changes for SFV free and it wouldn't prevent us from playing with other people which is a right move toward to fighting genre so they wouldn't segregate the online base.

Sometime people just need to understand that DLC Development costs money. Even few developers came out and discuss about the cost of development and characters.

TLDR: I'm being realistic with current economy with fighting genre. Did I think it's okay, the answer is nope. DLC practices sucks but at least it open the path for us getting more characters. If it was old time, we wouldn't get any more characters after release day, so I'm partially grateful for that in weird way.

Excellent, thanks. Every site that was returned when I did a search for stone breakdown was months old, with only a bit of info gleamed from what little had been shown at the time. 'Preciate it.
 
Why is he not entering? Is this like an ethical thing, is he banned from entering or some other issue?

He says it's unfair for him to enter because he has the game. Says the first he will enter will probably be SEAM/Capcom Cup, whenever that is.

Given how much meter you get in this game, free level 3 from infinity storm, and how much level 3s do in general, every hit would be ToD if level 3s were unscaled.
 
level 3s are a tough thing

unscaled would lead to 100% combos with one character and one touch. we're day -7 and we've already seen 75% combos with scaling the way it is.

scaled, as we currently have it, leads to it not being worth it to end a combo with a level 3 because it does no damage and you lose all your bars.

I don't know how necessary level 3s even are in a game with 4 bars max, meter burn combo breakers... and not to mention the fact that it's 2v2 and you have infinity gauge as well.
 
THE GAME HAS BURSTS. There is no excuse.
You aren't always going to have bursts. You can't be balancing the game around "well the game has bursts, it's fine". A lot of the time in this game bursts may not even prevent a character from dying or put you in a happy birthday instead. It's a bandaid to the damage problem not a cure. Counter switch also becomes worse over time when you have damaged characters waiting in the back and if you counter switch you might instantly lose the character you bring in anyway. Congrats, you just wasted two bars for nothing.
 
It's a far cry from your typical combo breaker. It doesn't stop the combo, and it is a risk in itself, because if your opponent reads it correctly you can put yourself into a happy birthday. It's not just a get out of jail free card.
actually the bursts dont have recovery

so yeah bigger thing is bursting asap to not lose chars still getting hit since they can theoretically keep hitting them

nova orb super and any big surrounding hitbox supers will be good for that
