I just wasted all my legendary shards by buying 5 Drangs from Tyra Karn for no reason. I saw Drang in her inventory and thought she was giving me another one for some reason, so I clicked Acquire. Then I was like shit, free Drangs! So I just kept clicking until I was out of shards. Ugh. That was enormously stupid.

They sell for 10 shards, and dismantle for 4 so I got like 16 out of 50 shards back.

Oh my god, I did the same thing. I just kept tapping x like a moron.

There's an area outside of the church in the EDZ where the flying dudes spawn endlessly, like 4-5 at a time. I just sat outside the door and completed it in minutes lol.

I've just played the game and steadily levelled to 259 without really trying. I understand it's slower after this point but I don't think taking the rewards when they come is that much of a problem.

EDIT: Bungo just tweeted that one of the gauntlets shares imagery with a hate symbol and it's being removed. Part of the reason for the long maintenance?

I got the Drum (or was it the Strung? Strang?) from the Failsafe post-campaign quest and seeing as I wasn't a huge fan I dismantled it for the shards, baby.

Meh. My Titan is 277 and I haven't paid attention to any of the spergy power gamer spreadsheets. After completing the main story I just had fun completing any milestones I had, doing a bunch of Public Events in the EDZ, occasionally hitting up Lost Sectors, Adventures, turning in my tokens whenever. When I got tired of that I started doing the blue missions that had opened up on each planet. It's never felt like I've had to grind or do anything besides play the game as intended.

Old news I'm sure but I just read that in the Nightfall the active void burns were supposed to stay on the screen and not just be a 2 second message.

Have to say it was cool when the 2 helpful dudes that ran the nightfall with me and I were were calling which burn was active as it appeared was pretty cool.

Finish all your adventures, max out your skill tree by playing the ones that give you upgrade points, then everything that awards blue gear, this will get you to power 250. Save everything you get during the process, tokens, milestones, don't turn them in.

After you reach ~250, start turning in all the zone tokens, gunsmith materials, planet materials, these faction awards will boost you to 265, which is blue gear's cap.

Then finish all the milestones, especially things that give "Powerful Gear", as these are the only ones that can go above 265.

I never get anything good anyway. If anything, have less public events so when there is one, more people will show up. They dont feel exciting anymore because theres too many of them. So people dont get pumped about it and just end up ignoring them since there will be a ton more relatively soon.

Public events need to feel exclusive and exiting and theyre not right now.

I did that too. Well, I bought a second Drang from Tyra, and a ghost shell from Draxx. It's way too easy to just click on it, especially in a game where you kind of just zone out grinding away. I broke out into a cold sweat at first, but eventually, you'll be swimming in potential legendary shards, so it's not the end of the world. I'm really curious to see what Xur is charging for weapons and armor, given this new system.

Yup, the public events as they sit now completely removes the reason to do strikes and adventures. It takes up the entire "mid-game" grind.

When I see people asking for buffed strikes it makes me think about Heroic Strikes. Don't you think maybe these are planned content (October or November) and they'll have specific loot tables just like year 2 and 3 Destiny? It surprised me that it's out of the game right now, so surprising to me that I can't see it not coming back in some way shape or form.
