The question is .. sometimes we use phones at different angles .. for example on our desks, in public transport etc.

We have to raise the phone directly to our face now to unlock? What if I am in a packed train? How am I supposed to unlock my phone?

I was just talking with my dad and I was like which site is going to make a realistic face model to try and spoof it? Looks like Apple already tried it.
 
Probably been discussed in other threads, but what about legal implications of being forced to unlock your phone? Seems much easier for the police to shove your phone near your face to unlock it, rather than a password or pressing your finger on a button.
 
Windows Hello technology works in a similar by constructing a 3D model of your face. It also has infrared camera in low lighting situations. But here again we see Apple trying to show that they invented the wheel again.
