That'd be a godlike promo tie in. But given that the Thor/Hulk preorder costumes are clearly Rag3 inspired, probably something to save for say, Black Panther.

Actually it could be the perfect chance for them to give the skins away for people who didn't pre-order.

Tho in reality, they'll bundle them with the digital version of the movie like the Spider-man costume.

I wonder if they'll give away DLC codes with ticket purchases for MCU films. I could see Thor: Ragnarök being a good opportunity to offer up the Thor & Hulk costumes.

I mean. we already have a "pre order the movie and get a code for a costume" thing, so that'd be neat, since I always see the MCU films in theatres.

Only if there was a promotion like that it probably wouldn't apply to Mexico... :(

Man, this is the kind of thing I'd like to see more of. I doubt it with Thor being so close and they've already announced pre-order stuff for tickets, but if Marvel really teams up with this game and starts attaching this game to their movies and stuff this game could go from a decent seller to a massive seller with huge outreach.

It's exactly the type of thing you should try and leverage to build a higher audience.

I dunno, if i recall correctly when they did the Yugioh Movies the movie cards promo was actually valid here, with how big marvel movies are i wouldn't doubt it that they would bring it.

Giving away pre-order/deluxe bonuses within a few months of release is not a good look.

Save those for the home video preorders.

So many people bitched about the Fight Money system in SFV and how it was implemented. Now, everyone wants it.

No.

What people want is to not pay two thirds the cost of a character for a skin.

This is on par with people here saying, people hate the new characters in SFV so why don't you like returning characters like Nemesis?

No, just because Ed and Abigail are lame does not mean I want Nemesis over Wesker.

I wanna play X so bad. Marn doin some awesome shit with him right now. These stones are so cool, love the way power stone can extend combos in the clutch.

Wouldn't that be the perfect time to make money selling those costumes rather than giving them away?
They're already doing it for the Superior Spider-Man costume, albeit bundled with the Blu-Ray release of an MCU film.

Why not both? Give fans who didn't see the movie in theaters a 2nd chance to get the costume via the Blu-Ray release. As long as you can buy the costume on its own, there isn't really much of an issue.

(The information displayed has been confirmed by two separate sources. DLC has apparently been in development since mid-August)
-The Six characters are Sigma, Monster Hunter, Gill, Black Panther, Winter Soldier and Venom
-Venom is considered a new character on the ground that he has not been a part of the 3D iterations of the Marvel vs. series. All of his animations have to be created from scratch.
-All characters are set to release in pairs on a monthly basis. Sigma and Black Panther launch October 3rd.
-All characters can either be bought in a pair or separately, Each character is priced at 5.99 while buying them as a pair costs 9.99. (This is in American dollars. Prices may vary per country)
-There are apparently plans in the works for free DLC revolving around multiple infinity stone surges and storms along with new game modes, including an online tournament mode.
-There are no current plans to include Japanese voices in the game, but it is apparently not impossible for us to see it down the line if demand is high enough.
-It is noted that fan feedback has greatly affected the development team's plans for the year of 2018. No characters are named, but we should be expected to see characters that alot of people want to see (X-Men? Dr. Doom? Captain Commando?)
-Brief overviews of the six character's playstyles have been released:
Sigma: A highly mobile rushdown character that has access to multiple dash and teleport moves. Moveset is mainly based off of X1 and X2, but also features aspects from X3, namely the Kaiser armor.
Black Panther: A pure rushdown character that is all about being in close and opening the opponent up with quick and powerful attacks. Playstyle is a cross between X-23 and Sabretooth.
Hunter: A damage dealer that uses a huge multitude of weapons from the Monster Hunter series to fight, on top of items such as flash bombs, traps and barrel bombs. The base appearance is based off of the Rathalos armor, while her main weapon is a great sword. Certain weapons are only usable in hyper combos. Can also call on assistance from Palicoes and call out a Rathalos with a hunting horn.
Winter Soldier: A damage dealer that uses a massive arsenal of weapons to fight. His gun weapons only have a certain amount of ammo per weapon, but as opposed to reloading like Chris, Winter Soldier can throw weapons as an extra projectile, which can be used to open up or extend combos.
Gill: A hard hitting character who can deal heavy amounts of damage thanks to his powerful normals. All of his specials from Street Fighter 3 are intact, including Seraphim Wing, his level 3 hyper combo. Resurrection is intact at the cost of 3 bars, but once it's used, it cannot be used again for the rest of the match. Gill cannot be resurrected by the Soul stone.
Venom: A damage dealer that retains alot of the techniques he had in earlier games in the franchise, on top of several new abilities. Works best with characters who can cover his approach, due to a lack of projectile and average movement options.
-Several stages are in development, only one of which has been named so far. The stage is known as "Asteroid S - Throne of the Four Gods." and is believed to be based off of Asteroid M from the X-Men comics and the Shadaloo base from Street Fighter.
-There is one unlockable character, Ultron Sigma. Ultron Sigma is featured right at the top of the roster, in between both the Marvel and Capcom sides. His playstyle is much more rushdown-oriented than that of regular Ultron, losing access to Death Ray but gains a couple of Sigma's dash attacks. All of his hyper combos are apparently brand new. -Ultron Sigma is unlocked once the player has completed Story Mode on both difficulty settings.
-Arcade Mode has eight stages, the final being a two-phase fight against Ultron Sigma. First phase features Ultron Sigma and a newly-created Ultron and/or Sigma created by the Reality Stone. Once defeated, Ultron Sigma will unleash the full power of their stones, creating Ultron Omega.
This information was disclosed by a pair of unnamed individuals who have been involved with Marvel Infinite's production cycle, although these two are not direct members of the development team. Names will not be disclosed, but the least you should know is that these individuals have high hopes for this game's potential in the near future.
There are officially no reports of any information regarding Capcom's plans for 2018, but it is believed that all of this year's DLC will be out before the end of November.

Take it with a grain of salts.

This all seems quite credible to me. We'll see how it shakes out. I'd love to have Ultron Sigma playable.

I'm not sure how I feel about unlockable Ultron Sigma, mainly they said no unlockable characters this time.

X-Men x Street Fighter stage being first stage without X-Men characters?

Gill being in sounds like he'd bring in a lot of salt. So I hope it's true. Both for his mechanics and because people will bitch about him over x character.

Gill has to be one of the most boring SF character's they could've picked. I'd take Rashid over that.
If not for Monster Hunter and Venom the season pass would be downright terrible (Since BP and Sigma should've been base)

Hopefully fan feedback means more female characters. Only 1 in the Season Pass (That could've went either way really). Is pretty saddening.

All someone has to do to verify is commentate on how many stages are in Arcade. If it shakes out like that then we'll know.

Free characters would be straight up dope though.

I would've had a much easier time believing that without the Ultron Sigma part. In what universe would they expect us to beat the same story mode twice for such a substantial unlock, especially with no trophy tied to it? I also roll my eyes whenever leaks say things like "a cross between Sabretooth and X-23", I just can't imagine a real human being describing a playable character in terms like that.

Is false.
We know Ultron Sigma fights alone in arcade mode. We have footage from arcade mode against him.
EDIT: Here's the footage. Note that there's partner for him.

Also this:
-Venom is considered a new character on the ground that he has not been a part of the 3D iterations of the Marvel vs. series. All of his animations have to be created from scratch.
Makes it seem more like bullshit, given that they don't consider Thanos new. Unlike say Gamora or Jedah, no press release made mention of Thanos as a "new character".

"Leak" is fake

Yeah I missed that part. After reading that i'm not so sure about this leak.

Also DLC development started in August? I'm not sure what he meant by that since almost all of models were complete awhile ago.

Don't buy into leaks that claim to have insight into what the developers are thinking. "Venom is considered new because..." is bullshit.

I don't buy it simply because of the 2-pack discount.

That's actually not too far off base really. Capcom is all about bundling DLC and trying to tempt. Though 10 for each for a total of 30 but minus the costumes sounds wrong. 12 seems more likely. Since they essentially want you to pay for if you try to piece meal.

Well we'll figure out pretty soon if UltronSigma is unlockable (would love that), if he is that will give some credibility to the leak. All sound good. Gill is a weird but kind of neat choice.

If Ultron-Sigma was an unlock it'd be tied to something far easier than beat Story Mode on Normal and Hard. Since even unlocking Galactus wasn't a hard thing to do if you just played Arcade mode a few times or had a old save.

We know Hunter is in the Story Mode and is Female. So we should be seeing her model this week at least.
Indeed, I can't wait. I'm more hoping on the reliance on items mid fight, and the multiple weapons. It's almost a given I feel, but some solid info would be suuuuuper.
We know it's a female hunter from a GameInformer preview.

This "leak" is just a repackaging of known info, speculation and made up shit.
I must have missed that GI bit...I don't read the mag and was absent from here for a while to keep hype levels in check. Good to know!

Did your friend get a shot of Zero's? Zero rarely changed color in the games outside of Black Armor so it should be easy to pin the references just from the character select screen. Only other one that jumps at me is Zero Virus from X5 / X6 before Capcom pulls "other character" colors like Vile's and Axl's.

I still wonder what they're going to pick for Zero's costume. The easy choice would be X1's look, but that's just the current model with a streamlined torso, no shoulder pads, and smoothed white bracers on his hands..

My friend also sent me the picture for you.

I think I saw Green and Yellow color before, was it in TvC?
