Gotta say, Guided Games was a complete success for me.
Waited about 4 minutes for a Nightfall duo to group up with. Both had mics. We failed once, but got it on our second try. Really pleased we at least have some sort of in-game matchmaking for these activities and if this is anything to go by then I can't wait for the raid!

You start with less time - that's about it.
I'm pretty impressed with the Adventures I've been playing so far. One had me jumping on platforms that buzzed with electricity I battled against Vex. Another had me shooting at squares as I had to shoot enemies while standing near...things. So, yeah, the ones I've tried on Nessus are pretty fun.
Orpheus Rig is amazing. I think I'm around 235 in light. Will be another week or so before I'm raid ready I imagine.

I also enjoyed the adventures. Not all of them are the greatest ever, but some of them are very good. I just wish rewards were a bit better for higher PL's.
D1 definitely used your equipped items. Sad to hear it's the same in D2.
I read in a Bungie blog post somewhere that it did not? It counts your highest possible PL

Finally got into the 250's for my LL with very limited playtime due to my newborn son being born a week prior to release. Basically I've had a hour to two at MOST per day, and there has definitely been day/two days I don't get to play in a row.
I think all things considered I'm doing good with the time given.
I doubt I will get to do the raid this week, so I should probably watch a live stream.
What time tomorrow will peeps like Broman be streaming so that I try to watch it ?

I understand your struggle! Mine's 3 months old, and she's starting to nap less and roll over a lot. She needs a lot of attention but I'm making it work!

Well, shit. I had the set with those "racist" gauntlets, and they completely changed the graphic on the gauntlets and legs. It's such a quick hotfix that it shows up normally in the character window, but differently in the game.
Can I get a refund on those shaders tho...

I have this same sparrow with a silar shader and instant spawn/mount mod. Its very cool.
Also the afterburber effect is pretty awesome to look at.

Did anyone else log in and have a shitload of new gear? I logged in and had a new exotic helmet, Hawthorne shotgun, and some gloves. All way higher lightlevel than I currently was. By like 10LL.

And that's why there is a mechanic to add time onto the counter. Everything I've seen suggests that this week's Nightfall is leagues easier than last week's.
Everyone says wait to turn in this or that item or quest to get max level quicker. As a filthy casual can I just play the game normally and level relatively quickly?
I still haven't spoken to Zavala because of some guide I read. Problem is he opens up Strikes which I want to try.
Screw it I'm just going to play how I want and stop worrying about leveling the quickest way possible.

I still feel like ability recharges are too slow as well though. I don't think I've seen anyone get a second super in a match yet, which is impressive considering I've also not seen a match that didn't end via timeout

They built an entirely new game's multiplayer with just Trials players in mind. Everybody else got a fuck you pity mode that plays like unbalanced garbage unless you're putting together four man teams before you start.

I've run this weeks six times already (group was going for rat king, we were missing it by 1-2 mins a few times and then ran once for clan engram) and its a lot easier than last weeks. There are three areas where you want to sorta clear enemies first and then touch the first circle thing, you have about a minute once you touch the circle before they despawn but the ~10 or so that spawn EACH give you +30 seconds, so if you do it right thats an additional 9 mins for all 30 or so (3 sets of 10 each).
At the boss as well the adds despawn when he moves to the next phase, so don't even bother DPSIng adds just burn the boss with the right elemental and heavies to move between phases, we killed him in under a minute each time including all the level timing bullshit which wastes a lot of time. Save your supers and circles for the bottom and you can kill him in a few seconds from 50% health.
That said I'm not really not a fan of the nightfall mechanisms, at least the timing thing. Its great for prestige maybe but shouldn't be there for regular NF. I wonder how it all works with guided games, is there a timer? What kind of drops do you get for guided?
