Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Here's where I left off pre-Raid. Can't believe I managed to break 280 in the first week, got 11 exotics and more legendaries than I can remember. Vanilla D1 me would never have believed it LOL

Got 2 triple kills in PvP today; I was laughing all the way home.

Also, those gauntlets they were supposed to get rid of/change, are still in the game..

As they said, they were removed from the "shared game world" but icon/model (?) I guess will be removed next week.

I'm sitting at 269 and having trouble bumping my light up. Last few exotics I've gotten have all been 270 with a pre-installed damage mod. Looking to raid tomorrow evening (after 4pm central time) on Xbox One if possible.

Nightfall was super easy, cashed in all my luminous engrams, hit 280 and haven't messed with power mods.

Screwed up Nightfall the first time, didn't know the rings gave time, then second try finished with 3:30 left. We tried to beat 5 but I think rushing got us out of whack and we kept getting dying too much or triggering runs too early before everyone was ready. More measured approach should be cake later this week.

So what is the benefit to doing the meditation missions? Is it worth it when you are LL270 plus?

If you want the sets she/Zavala offer, that's the only reason

She's just like any vendor, she follows the same Legendary Engram level up formula

She just gives sets no other vendor has. The Vanguard label weapons and armor.
She has her Tokens, Zavala has his

I think it takes Roughly 7-8 Meditation Tokens to receive a package, same for Zavala for doing strikes.
Mostly for Vanity/Fashionistas purposes, but also chase after the top Vanguard weapons and hope for a +5 Kinetic mod in them, nowhere else to get it.

Also after horrid luck of my third Lucky Pants and 2nd Dragon Shadow I pulled a Vigilance Wing and Raiden Flux with an arc ability charge mod. The latter looks and plays sweet. Haven't fired the Vigilance Wing yet.

Cool thanks for the info!

Make sure that they don't have mods in them before getting rid of them. If their base level is only a couple levels lower but they don't have mods in them you use them to infuse your gear with mods.

Wait so when you take gear that doesn't have mods and use a higher level gear with bonus mods you get the light level plus the extra 5 mod points?

For instance...

Level 260 gear
Infuse with a 265 gear with 5+ bonus mod
It will bring the 260 gear to 270?

The +5 doesn't carry over.

So the best thing to do would take the 265 piece and infuse into that when possible.

So I think I found the XP cap @ 80,000. Seems like it stops going up at level 10 (post 20). At level 22 working on 23 and it is still 80,000 to next.

Edit - 10, not 20.

I see so you can attach a mod to the new piece when you eventually get one to turn it into a 270.

No.

If you have two pieces of gear.

260 with a Blue Mod and 265 with a Purple Mod

Then both pieces are actually 260.

If you infuse the 260 by dismantling the 265... the +5 mod doesn't carry over.

If you take the 265 that has a +5 mod and infuse it with, say.. a 270 that doesn't have a +5 mod.. then you'll end up with a 275.

So you want to infuse into gear that has +5 mods if you can. You don't want to use gear that has +5 mods to infuse into other pieces.

Just to everybody who wants to Raid

Do all the Powerful Gear milestones.

Go do Exotic Quests, try to pump up those Power Levels

Do it this way, so your Raid drops will always be the only Regards guaranteed to drop above your levels no matter what until cap.

So if you got 3 Guardians, you've got a fuckton of Milestones to do before Raid hits @1pm EDT.

Also I need to join a Group who's willing to have me for the Raid right as it launches.
Let me know!

We could use a dedicated guardian as yourself in the official Neogaf clan. :D

Two spots available, it seems.

Send Marvel a pm if you apply, so he knows ur from GAF.

So what's the fastest way to earn bright engrams? Adventures?

At a guess, maybe the Fallen glimmer heroic public event. You have the 2900 exp completion plus a metric ton of relatively high exp enemies rushing you.

Heroic publics in general are fairly quick to get brights.
