That's irrelevant to what Doctrine Dark was talking about. He's still not a "new" character. Just how they never claimed that Thanos was, unlike say Gamora and Ultron.

When it comes to Darkstalkers character's and how unique they are. He stands out as being probably the most boring of the lot.
Lol, that'd actually piss me off. Off all the Darkstalkers, getting Donovan would be really sad. Every other Darkstalkers would be better than Donovan.

I feel like headlining a Character Pass with "all-new" and featuring Sigma as the 1st had some meaning behind it. That's pretty much false advertising. They're either new or they're not.

The Capcom villain selection in this game is so odd. Jedah, Firebrand, Nemesis, Sigma and (probably) Meio. None of them are awful choices but when I think of Capcom villains my mind jumps to Bison, Dr. Wily, Wesker and Vergil, it's pretty funny that not one of them is in this game.
Sigma and Jedah are both pretty stand-out great choices though, I definitely understand Sigma over Wily.

B.B. Hood is a Darkstalker hunter like Donovan except she's a sociopathic psycho that looks like Little Red Riding Hood. Can she come back? Her supers could be amazing.

Guys like Wesker, Bison, and Vergil seem like they're made for a game featuring a story. Can't believe not one of those guys are in.
He really is, amongst a cast of monsters, he's a weak representative of the game in my opinion.
BB Hood would be sick though.

Sigma is a better choice than Wily. He is a perfect match for Ultron.
Also the Strider reboot came out in 2014.

I'm pretty excited to see what Meio could bring to the table, though. He's not the Strider villain choice I wanted but I'm thrilled Strider even got a second character.
Solo is such a try-hard "cool" design.
Still think she should be her own character and she should be able to call her sisters for assists.

I'd honestly really like to see Meio as a playable character. The roster could use some curveballs. His premium costume would probably be his classic look.
This design is WAY better. I liked the new Strider a lot but the new design for Meio is just....too much. Evokes way too much "ALMIGHTY UNTOUCHABLE MASTER LOOK AT ME AND I FLOAT AND I GLOW AND MY EYES AND I GLOW"
This one seems much more real and much more willing to get into the thick of shit if needed. I definitely wouldn't mind this guy. New Meio, not so much. But of course, it would be the new one we'd be getting....

You just get the impression that they didn't even try to have fun with the roster. Even though opinions are mixed regarding MVC3's roster, I always felt like they actually had fun with the roster and ended up making solid picks overall. With this, it just seems so...not fun at all.

Yeah Sigma makes sense too. Only one problem is mega man fans are greedy. 3 characters and they still want more lol.
To be honest I think that's one of the big reasons they're not here, it seems like they really hand-picked parts of the roster around managing their story mode and they probably figured between Ultron-Sigma, Jedah, Thanos and Dormammu (and I guess technically M.O.D.O.K. and Meio) they had enough villains to manage.
Also 2 of those 3 characters are hugely popular, have assets to copy over from the last game and will sell as DLC, go figure.
Agree to disagree. Not saying I want him but there are much dryer DS characters, hell the face of the series is super dry. That said I think most would work in a VS game so bring em all.
Wish it was more X4 Sigma but it's fine, they gave Zero so much X4 shit in this.

His demon/god summoning was so boss...I think that alone would transition really well in this game. But since my #1 DS pick wont be back (CMONNNN HSIEN KO) I'm all for Huitzil.just woke up, checking back a few pages. Hunter and Death models. Hunter looks as we expected, thats cool. Death actually looks fine, but 99.9999% shes just a npc (as in, forever).
16 stages is a nice surprise and its funny, I swear yesterday I was going to post if you guys noticed Max said "theres like 4 more stages or something to unlock" when he wa talking to Kenny and shit, I was wondering if it was just Max tlking out of his ass becuse hes not always up to date on his info (lol sorry Max but you were still talking about the debunked XM vs SF pack until recently <3) or if there could actually be 2 more stages thn the 12 we knew about, turns out theres 4 more? neat.
Surely theres 0 chance of unlockable chars right? I mean someone would have spilled the beans if that was the case by now with all those copies out in the wild right?

I want more Mega Man characters if only to represent other subseries. I'd like to see Dr. Wily (Doronjo + Torbjörn) and Tron on the roster.

Demitri would be such a sick choice, I don't understand the thinking that Midnight Bliss is the entire point of his character or whatever. Just do what they did with him in PxZ, let him do the move without transforming the other character. It's not like they haven't already established that they're fine with ruining iconic supers anyway.

One of the new stages seems to be tht AIMbrella hallway where Nemesis shows up in the story trailer, thats neat becuse I liked that scene.
edit: also people shitting on Donovan of all characters fills me with sadness. What the actual fuck.
