Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Whoa, that would be crazy, but does make sense, seeing as in pretty much every other raid they would've faced a boss by now. It would actually be pretty awesome I think

Alternatively, this raid might not have any bosses and it's just a bunch of events/puzzles.

:(

That's true, but that would be even crazier. I actually like that it's not just boss,
run to arena, boss, maybe jumping puzzle, boss, etc. I dig the event/puzzle deal,
but gotta have some bosses

I just hit 271 and I still think I'm too low, would feel safer around 275 or 280 myself.

Speaking of which, I'm finally loving the look of my Warlock: so swish.

uhhh yeah that looks dope. Still need to make and level a Warlock. Should've left the trash hunter for last.

You know, something about the story rubbed me the wrong way here...

Ghost mentions that it was strange foe cabal to just stick around, as they conqure systems by blowing up planets. But, the dust legion had been there for eyears just chilling on mars, and never seemed to make a play for other worlds.

So, what exactly were they after on mars?

Failsafe......

Why did they do this?

So for the raid. If we don't have a team of 6, we can grab randoms with that ticket system?

What's the deal?

I've never played Destiny but I plan to pick up 2 when it comes on PC- how useful is the Hunter Ability compared to the other classes? That dodge maneuver seems underwhelming compared to say the Warlocks buff/heal zone.

I don't mind just chilling and talking and killing monsters and you win some Dante points :)

I laugh EVERY TIME I think of us in that raid.

I'll be trying the raid tonight but will be up for it afterwards. If not today then manana.

Trying to set up a Raid for tonight (PS4) at around 9:30 PST.

Here's the deal: We have 5 right now and we want to go in completely blind. No hints from other players, no reading up stuff online. 100% blind raid from the beginning and requires patience.

Our 6th friend was more interested in getting raid gear fast, but we care more about the experience first. Told him to do it so that we can take our time and be patient with it (we want to experience it once at least). So if anyone is down and promises they won't read up hints, tips, spoilers of anything raid related, let me know.

Also, just a heads up... we don't mind if it takes a couple to a few days to complete. We will always work around each other's schedules to continue our progress together with the same 6 people so nobody is left out.

So...
  1. 100% Blind Raid with no outside help
  2. We are all in our 30's and get along with everyone.
  3. We don't care about Power Level as long as you're able to access the raid.
  4. We don't want someone who will get frustrated quickly and point fingers.
  5. Have fun and be cool.

casually watching some of these raid streams makes me realize i've been forgetting to do one of the most important things in the game:

adding ridiculous shaders to my favorite weapons.

It's real good. Doesn't do anything for allies but otherwise it's pretty good.

Finally passed 260 mark. At 263 right now

So is it smarter to redeem all your reputation points once you hit 260? or should I wait a bit longer?

On the contrary, dodge-cloak ability is incredibly useful when reviving downed allies in PvE

This sounds pretty perfect for me, actually. I'd love to join in and was hoping to find a blind group.

PSN is WallachGAF if you want to add me.

I think I'm going to be sticking to the weekly reset activities and trials to get my light level up for now, I think it's going to be tough to run this raid with a LFG group.

If you can't Raid more than 2+ hours, don't join a Raid Group please.

Why would you join a group Day 1 and bounce within a few hours, no one will join Raid Group in Progress and bypass Loot from encounters

Not fair for other teammates that they put out the time to try it out, but others have priorities and not tell up front

Need a Raid roup Again, please!

I play around 9:00pm PST on PS4, haven't read anything and certainly can hold off if it means getting in a group. PSN: Jimmy_doom

Yea, very inconsiderate, tbh.

Hit 260 and the power went out lol. Really hope I don't have problems with the PS4 after the power comes back on :( how do I boot in safe mode if I need too again?

Kinda tired of watching tbh. Loos like The Talos Principle 2 or some shit. Will watch VODs later but so far doesn't look like a fun raid =|

It's not essential for group play, but it's very useful in solo content and PVP.
In PVP having that dodge with immediate reload can be clutch in surviving protracted encounters, especially if you have to take on two opposing guardians at once.

In solo PVE, it's can be very handy to unload your entire rocket launcher capacity at an elite enemy and at a moment's notice have another compliment of rockets ready for it.

There is a specific sub tree for Arc Strider that causes melee kills to refill your dodge roll and health, and your dodge roll to refill your melee...
This leads to endless dodge roll -> melee -> dodge roll -> melee chains on swarming enemies like the Hive...

But for a raid, yeah, your teammates won't get much benefit from the dodge roll.
They will get benefit from your crowd control as an Archer, your boss stun lock as an arc strider, and your damage output/orb generation as a gun slinger though.

I watched the first two hours or so of Broman's Twitch. Parts look fun and parts don't look like fun. Typical Destiny Raid. I figure after a few weeks people will figure the raid out and make it a lot easier.

Yeah, this looks like a raid that might be fun to do blind...otherwise, the whole appeal is gone when you have someone telling you how to do all the puzzles. I kind of wish it was less puzzle-based. Then again, anything is better than jumping puzzles/challenges, but there's still time for that.

That's extremely frustrating. Why would someone join a group for an activity that will undoubtedly last more than 2 hours if you can't stay that long? I say you name names! :p

What happened???

Yea, very inconsiderate, tbh.

Some people had Real Life priorities, is sleep, work, errands and though Raid on Day 1 can be accomplished in under 2 hours...

Reaching each encounter and at least trying out to see how the mechanics work is supposed to be the charm

People I was with 1 had no mic...
Other stayed communication silent

Not trying to call out people, but come on

Mics, Communication, and Time slotted for Raid up to 4-+ hours is a Goddamn Necessity!

At this point I'm not even interested in watching anymore, let alone playing. This is the first time the mechanics of a raid have straight up bored me. Even when Goth and his crew figure this out, it still is not all that interesting to play through.
