I know, but with the way jersey sales work in the NFL, it's not like he's really making any additional money. You don't get paid based on your specific jersey sales. All that money is pooled together and split up. And the NFL still makes bank off of it, so how are you protesting when you're still giving the organization you're protesting money? The question put to her was why they're claiming the kneeling isn't a race issue, when Kaepernick said he's kneeling to protest the poor treatment of African Americans (Sanders earlier claimed the 'focus had shifted' and it was not a race-related protest), yet when white supremacists claim their protests and rallies are just about protecting their heritage and not racism, the President seems to take white supremacists at their word.

Sanders response amounted to "Well if he wants to protest cops maybe he should protest cops at the stadium instead of protesting the flag and the anthem."

She was later called on that and asked if she'd meant to indicate football players should directly protest police and said a bunch of nothing at it. Basically she said a dumb thing, was called on it, and went back to just AMERICA! FLAG! RESPECT!
